I used to have one of his HH 4x12's. It was better than the Marshall. I made the street vibrate. I still have one of the flight cases. Marc looks younger there, he had lost weight after his heart attack and Rolan came along. This song has improved with age.
Never heard that he had a heart attack.

Laser Love and The Soul Of My Suit were just outside the 40, whilst Dandy In The Underworld and Celebrate Summer failed to chart.

@@original.dwornboy Interesting that despite the fact that "Dandy in the Underworld" failed to chart it actually is now considered one of the most iconic T.Rex songs. Amazing how time can change our perception.
@@grahamrogers3345 I don't understand why bands like T. Rex and Slade lost their massive popularity in such a short time, in 1977 Slade's albums did not even enter the chart, it is incredible how they went from being the biggest bands in the entire country to losing almost the entire audience.

This marked the end of Marc Bolan's career ,it was so bad that some people credited him with creating punk !
?, no, what marked the end of marc's career was his untimely death. Dandy In The Underworld & the album of the same title, was released in March 1977, 9 months after this TOTPs perfromance, Dandy was a return to form for Marc. He even took The Damned on tour with him as support, they loved him, as did many of the upcoming Punk / New Wave Groups!. Have you seen the video for Dreamy Lady?, I suggest you do, Marc looks like Siouxsie Sioux in his dress style and hair, but a good year or more before they even hit the scene - this is where Marc was givien the title - Godfather Of Punk - He influenced a lot of those artists!, he was never credited as "creating Punk", you have that completely wrong

Marc was only 29 when he died so he had plenty of time to reinvent himself. People talk as if Marc was some 50 yo,morbidly obese,cracked out,broke has been. Marc will always be a LEGEND!

According to the musician, acts like T-Rex, David Bowie and Sweet were the ones that gave way to The Clash, The Dammed and Sex Pistols. To be honest, it's not surprising, you have to look at the year-end polls of punk in 1977 or 1978, punks adored him, they grew up with his music
