Doch, gibt es. Aber wir "alten Säcke" präferieren halt die Musik, die uns jung prägte. Bei mir ist T.Rex Nummer 1 lebenslang geblieben.
Allerdings - der letzten Song hier ist nun wirklich nix; kein Wunder, dass es Marc mit solchen Auftritten in den USA nie schaffte.

Bei T. Rex habe ich tatsächlich mehrfach meine Favoritenliste angepasst, weil mir erst nach mehrmaligem Hören Songs gefielen. Aber es ist auch so, dass sehr sehr ähnlich klingt (manche Fans möchten das wohl nicht wahrhaben). Unterm Strich habe ich aber 50 Songs, die top (und gut verteilt auf meiner PlayList) sind. Das ist eine ganze Menge.

One of the true legends of 70s rock and one of its most underrated performers
Absolutely one of the great musicians and performers of any era. And the most meaningful, for me personally. All kinds of memories are connected with Bolan music.
Me too, 67 I' ve always been his fan, when l hear his songs l' m shivering with joy until now, he did not die he only went out for a couple of minutes somewhere...

Yep well I don't know at which point they married and had Rolan Bolan their son who is also on video singing, she was a backing singer, a "screamer" but some of the early album tacks even Get It On etc and you hear some of the most haunting, ethereal, other-worldly backing singing I've ever heard and that earthy, imperfect wavering, wobbling along sounds is expertly done from Mark and his wife, Gloria Jones under the influence of Tony Visconti who was invested and kept them on track to some degree created the music I love and live with and perhaps "live by" to this day and it's deeper than most crud yet another track can be candy pop., but never boring and they grow on your approval that's the mark a decent music as well as if it has staying power and T.REX dose. Bolan's a "Hall of Fameer" and well deserved.

The legendary T.REX! Once I heard RIDE A WHITE SWAN I was hooked! Some of the greatest tunes from the great MARC BOLAN! The soundtrack to my youth 70 to 74! Magical years! Never forget!

Choose the right tracks or it'll put them off for life. Lol. Pick the ones in use all over the TV and promo's, always such as "Telegram Sam", "Get It On", "Born To Boogie", and if you want to stick 2 digits to the world, (and who doesn't these days) with all the post COVID price gouging weak governments do nothing about as on the gravy train too, "It's a Rip-Off"

At the age of just 16 years, I got home as usual to watch Top Of The Pops.
However, this show was one that changed my life.
T.Rex appeared playing "Ride A White Swan" On that show it was just Marc and Micky.
I was completely blown away, and immediately become a huge fan.
Little did I know that within six months and by a total fluke I would be working for Marc for a period of 3 and a half years and travelling the world.
Those were the best years of my life.
Always keep a little bit of Marc in your heart. ❤️

Wieso unterschätzt? Hohe Plattenumsätze, damals ausverkaufte Konzerte, nun auch Hall of Fame. Mehr geht nicht. Als Gitarrist zählt er nicht zu den wirklich Großen. Aber sonst ist doch alles in Ordnung.

I've been a 'Marc Bolan' fan since early Tyrannosaurus Rex days....now in my 60's and still am !....but 'Get It On' with those screeching backing singers was terrible - :(

Saw the two of them, when called Tyrannosaurus Rex, playing sitting on the floor, in the Middle Earth, Covent Garden, London when they were not so famous, maybe 1967 or so. They were OK but nothing to write home about.

GET IT ON THE GLITTER CHIPOLATA DOES HIS SPINAL TAP. It is such a crime there is so little footage of T.Rex playing live. It is also a shame that he only used to play hits, and didn't have confidence enough in great songs like The Avengers, Golden Belt, Change, Dawn Storm, Tenement Lady, the list is long.
