Hello! Thanks for the question. I use the spices whole and add them to the boiling water, simmering them for at least 10-20min (or longer if possible!). Then I sieve them out and use the infusion to micx the Cacao in. This is how I do it, but there are many ways and you can experiment with different ratio of spices and time. So I hear that Mayan leaders would drink 40 cups of cacao daily, and Aztec Montezuma II would have upwards to 50 a day...what gives? I have two or three and I'm sick as BALLS! Were they developing a tolerance over years of time be able to consume this much, are these stories inaccurate...like what the heck is going on around here?
Hi! wow... i never heard of these stories... tbh there's lots of misinformation about Cacao and the mayans. I believe that Cacao has been with humans for over centruries, and each society find their own way to use it weather as food, medicine, currency or ritual tools. It's hard to know what the Mayans were doing... let's not believe everything tht's out there hehe😜
