  • Hello out there! 🤗🌹 There are so many fantastic patterns to explore…and Argyle has been on my list for a while! Argyle dates back to the 17th century, emerging from the Scottish Highlands Tartan of Clan Campbell. Its timeless popularity has inspired both traditional and modern styles worldwide. It even has its own day…January 8th - National Argyle Day!😅
One thing I love about Argyle is that it is able to hold any color combination you can imagine…from traditional to the delightfully garrish, it all looks amazing!! 😂 So let’s take a moment to celebrate this incredible pattern and discover how to mimic it in glass. As with many of these demos, there is a lot of research and development before the final version. Give yourself a good hour to execute, explore and play with this pattern. Most of all, have fun and enjoy the process!!
I hope you all enjoy this modern take on Argyle!🌹🌹✨
Cheers my Friends!! - Robin 🌈

Robin, this is wonderful. I love that your videos are perfect angle to see exactly what is going on. This is masterful and show how we can be successful step by step. Your videos are the best out there. Argyle patterns from dots! . And telling us you pulled too hard releasing from the mandrel. Have done that. Usually stiff white and black from bullseye glass. Beautiful photos at the end. One of these days tell. us how to photograph our beads. Your end beads are eye candy. Thanks so much for master class tutorials.

Hello Vicki! 🤗✨✨ Thank you!! I appreciate your comment so much! I want you to have the best seat in the house while I work! ✨🌹 I also think it’s important to let you know where I run into little bumps along the way. And all I use for the end shots is my camera I phone…they are better than any camera I have tried! ✨😅 So happy you enjoy this one….it almost got the best of me. I was determined to make it work! 😂✨ Hope you’re doing well!! Cheers- Robin 🌈👋🏽

Imagine an argyle marble. 2” marble could give you a lot of room to make a very intricate pattern. Your the bomb Robyn! You keep giving me so many ideas

Excellent as always Robin. I’ve got a feeling this pattern looks a lot neater and easier than if I made it! 😊 Which is great and super inspiring, can’t wait to give it a go, thanks so much for showing us and explaining. As a little future wish list can we see you doing some fuming, and more ‘chaos colour’ mixes, also working with borosilicate would be great to see too 🤓😁

Hi Dan! 🤗✨Thanks so much!! 🌹 It took me several times to try this method before it looked like this…lot of trial and error! 😂 So glad I was able to share it with you all. I think I have some bits of silver that I could try fuming with…and it looks so good with the Boro glass! I will definitely try to get something out there soon!! Do you only use the Boro? 💫 Thanks again for your suggestions!
      Cheers- Robin 👋🏽🌈

@@scottwoodresearch Hi Robin, it would be great to see some fuming or any other favourites like striking and reactive colours. I only use soft glass, inspired by your videos. I was watching previous ones and you might have asked for suggestions for future videos so I thought I’d put some here. I’ve got a Carlisle Hellcat too so it’d be nice to see how that goes with boro, and to see the cool techniques you’d be showing us. 🤓😁

@danbowran6684 Hi Dan! 💫 I appreciate your suggestions! It is not always easy to make something completely different every time. 😅 I will definitely make a point to incorporate some striking colors as well as reactives in future demos…I love experimenting with those fun chaotic color mixes!✨ I think you are the first person that I know of that also has the Hellcat! 😃🌹
That is so cool! I love this torch!! Perfect for all types of glass! Having the outer burner ring is wonderful….but I only use it when I absolutely need to (because the needle on my oxygen tank drops like a rocket! 😂😂 ) Thank so much for sharing!! Cheers- Robin🌹✨💫

Stunning bead as always Robin. I don’t know how you come up with them. You have an ingenious mind when it comes to glass. Also hope your dental pain is easing up a bit hun 😊. Did you get your glow powder?

Hi Kelly! 🤗✨ Thanks so much! 🌹 I get obsessed when it comes to figuring out certain patterns like this one. It is like unlocking a bit of magic! ✨💫 I am totally planning on getting some glow in the dark powder when I place my next order….so exciting!! 😆 As for my teeth….we will see how things go. I have a consultation next week 😵‍💫 😅. Hope you are doing well!! 👋🏽Cheers- Robin 🌹🌈

@@scottwoodresearch I’m doing ok my pain levels are high but it is what it is. I’m making jewellery at the moment and slow starting with the lampworking as I get my equipment back as most of my previous equipment got damaged so having to replace it all. So im raising funds at the moment to replace my equipment then I can get back at it as soon as possible and I can’t wait to be back at it with the glass. I’m glad you have a consultation very soon for your teeth so hopefully you will be out of pain quickly hun. I’m loving the beads you are making as always ❤️

Hi Kelly! 🥰🌹 I’m so glad to hear that you are able to manage your pain levels! That is a big relief. 🙏🏽 Patrick and I both understand chronic pain and how it affects every little thing you do…it truly sucks!😂 On the other hand, we have a lot of laughter and humorous moments which helps balance it all out. Laughter is the best medicine! ✨✨ I’m also happy to know that you are still being creative! It helps to focus on something other than the pain as I’m sure you know.💫 I love working with all types of materials….but glass is most magical for me!
I hope you were able to salvage some of your equipment…. What happened? Did your torch survive?? Forgive me if you mentioned it before….I’m a total Forgetful Jones sometimes! 😵‍💫
Big hugs to you!! 🌹✨Cheers- Robin 🙏🏽✨✨✨

@@scottwoodresearch my pain levels go up and down depending on the day and chronic pain is never fun to deal with I’m sorry to hear that both you and Patrick both suffer from chronic pain also. I also suffer from terrible fibro fog so my memory is terrible. I managed to salvage one of my torches but I’m not sure if it works well as my pipes failed as I had a bad flood so a lot of stuff got damaged. Glass is definitely a magical medium to work with sadly I only got to work with it for a month before the flood happened and I lost hundreds of pounds worth of equipment. But I will get back making glass again I am determined to. I hope your pain levels are ok today. My are bad today

@kellytomic5372 Kelly…I am sending you all the good vibes I can muster up!! 🥰✨ I hope that your torch still works when you get all of your things back together….I can’t imagine if our basement flooded! Omg….what a disaster! 😵‍💫😭 So sorry…..insurance might help? You will get through this!!
I always tell myself that no matter what….there is a light at the end of the tunnel! 🌹🌹🌈🌹
I’m always here for you my friend!! Big Hugs- Robin 🥰🌹🌹🌹 I hope your pain levels are better today than yesterday!!💫✨✨
