Wanted to visit here for a while now and drove a good distance out of the way to ride the Chocolate tour . Just a heads up , tomorrow I'll not be Hershey Park , caught a plane back to LA early this morning . I shall return when I can devout more time to PA . Check out yesterday's video . th-cam.com/video/HaccBpdD6qc/w-d-xo.html
TheDailyWoo Just to let you know, they changed the chocolate tour back in 2016 to add the newly designed characters and add the cartoonish animals. It used to be a lot more professional and I think it was better that way.
My wife and I visited Hershey last year, and we did the chocolate tour, just as you did. However, very near to Hershey is Gettysburg, so we also toured the civil war museums and battlefields. So next time you visit, I suggest that you check that out as well!
Wow; that place was extravagant!! Many years ago I toured the Hershey's factory in northern California, but it was just a factory. It was still interesting; I love seeing that sort of stuff, but there was no ride or anything involved. I did however cave and buy a 24 pack of peanut butter cups while "exiting through the gift shop". You clearly had more self control than I did. :-)
I was there in 1964 with my parents. The machinery was huge. They gave you a walking tour of the factory as it was producing chocolate bars complete with workers doing specific jobs. We had to walk within areas marked off by tape. The smell of cocoa was so strong it was almost nauseating. You did get a free Hershey's bar at the end of the tour. No Disney looking tours in those days
My kid just walked in the room while I was watching this. His jaw practically hit the floor. While he was mesmerized by all the sugar I quietly booked a hotel room. I'm not even going to tell him. I'm just going to put him in the car and start driving.
I gotta go on a diet...that was me working on the Tour Ride at 8:24 - we do a lot of walking on that turntable! How did you miss the entire Food Court?! There are pizzas, salads, sandwiches (wraps), soups, and hot entrees and sides, plus cookies and coffee and such! The Create Your Candy Bar attraction will be down all week. Sorry...the pump broke and the new one is coming from Germany. Also the "jungle" has a tree with a cacao pod growing on it.
Loved the kids that helped you out and then wanted to be in your video. That was very cute. Hopefully you’ve made three new fans of roadside attractions!
Imagine back then being disappointed having to cancel your trip on the Titanic, only to later find out in the news that it split in half after spending two hours sinking, and that it killed around 1,500 people. He must've been so happy he canceled after that!
Went to Hersheypark in the 80's with my Mom. Back then the factory tour was so different! All of the displays were in the open, no separation from the cars. Because of people throwing stuff into the chocolate vats, they had to put everything behind the glass. I want to go back and bring my daughter - maybe someday. Thank you for making this video!
I went to Hershey back in the early 90's. Wish I could go back some day and take the kids. I think we were there at a special time because we got a full-size candy bar at the end of the tour. A lot has changed since then.
I live about an hour from Hershey. Did you know that at one time the trustees of Hershey wanted to sell the company to Nestle's.. Thankfully the Commonwealth stepped in and prevented the sale. I believe if that happened, it would have been bye bye Hershey's.
I remember a full sized bar when the tour was over. What a bummer! I used to take students their on field trips all the field. When we were allowed to have fun while teaching? lol The park is a blast too.
I hadn't been to Hershey park in 27 years. It was always a favorite. The town with the Hershey kiss lamp posts and the music through out. I had the Hershey kiss ball cap with the foil Hershey kiss on it. I was so proud of it
The building above the "Welcome To Hershey" sign on the hillside used to be the Milton Hershey High School which I attended in the late 1960's. At the bottom of the hill there was an airplane landing strip. Was cool to watch small planes land while attending school.
PRR I1sa they had a limited run on both a S'more and a peanut butter whatchamacallit. I remember a Mint Chocolate version as well. Was like a thin mint in a candy bar form and they used peppermint patty to make it. I vote they bring that one back.
absolutely loved this! God knew Mr Hershey had to cancel his trip on the titantic...what would have the world been like without chocolate? Thanks for taking us along...and your voice is so soothing after a long day at work...thanks Adam...safe travels :)
I have not ridden on this ride since 2001 and I must say it has changed Adam. It even changed a lot since I first rode it as a kid in the 1980's. They always keep updating it.
Another great video. I’ve been to Hershey’s chocolate world and Hershey’s park many times over the years. So it was especially nice to see it once again . Brought back some great memories. Keep up the good work.
Fun fact: We once had a Hershey plant in my cowboy town of Oakdale, Ca. & we had a Hershey visitor center as well. Both of which, are no longer, sadly, unfortunately.....good times though....good times.....
I've been there back in 1972. A long, long, long time ago. :) I grabed a broken piece of candy in the box in the factary and they yelled at me. LOL LOL LOL
Of course the one time Adam the Woo comes to my area I'm on vacation. I have a season pass to Hershey Park, I'm usually there at least once a week during the summer. I can't believe how crowded it was the day you went, I've never seen a line that long for that ride. I always go for the free chocolate at the end!
That's awesome!!! Are you a roller coaster person? If so what's your favorite there at Hershey Park. I go there twice a year since I live over 2 hours away.
sportsygirl8 my favorite roller coaster there is probably Great Bear :) I also like the wooden coasters like the lightning racers. Not a huge fan of Skyrush or Farenheight, I hate the seats on Skyrush and the whole straight up/straight down thing on Farenheight isn’t really my thing. They are ok but since they’re newer the lines are usually longer. The newest roller coaster, Laugh Track, I like but it’s not worth it if the line is super long. Which one is your favorite?
That is awesome!!! My favorite is Great Bear as well, I love how smooth it is. I like 2 of their wooden ones, not a fan of Wildcat that one I got off with bruises and a headache. I love Fahrenheit!!! I hate that the line is so long though. I also like SooperDooperLooper, one time I was in line for it and when the train came back to the station I see some kid being woke up by his dad...lol, so dad and I made the ride operators laugh when we were on it by cheering and being a bit obnoxious right before going into the station and then as it pulled into the station we both pretended we fell asleep, all the operators that saw us were giggling. I've never been on Skyrush based on people saying they don't like the restraints on it and crushes their thighs i don't have much desire to ride it. The straight up and straight down part of Fahrenheit tends to scare a lot of people or they don't like it because of that. I don't like the straight up part, but love the straight down part! I agree, I like Laugh Track, but it is not worth an hour wait in line. I like Storm Runner, but don't really like Sidewinder, I got whiplash on it last time I rode it.
Just found this video and my daughter LOVED it! Funny enough she was there with her grandparents 2 days before you were there. She loved reliving her visit 💗
❤❤❤ totally loving this! While watching this I just remembered that somewhere I have an old VHS tape of our vacation there in the 80's. My dad had just bought a camcorder but it was the bulky on you had to put in your shoulder. He followed us around that whole trip with that thing lol. I think I still have that camera....
TheDailyWoo It truly was the best times! 😊 I'm so glad that I got be a kid in the 80's. Oh & Holy Typos Batman! "bulky one" & "on your shoulder" not "in your shoulder" Geez Louise...I really need to proofread before I post things! 😂
Thanks for showing Hershey, PA. Brought back memories when I went there as a kid. I also went to Hershey Park which was fun. I really remembered the Hershey kiss light polls. That stuck in my memory. 😊
ive been there went last july it was an amazing tour if not a little on the short side for me we were on a bus trip so alas we did not get to go through the amusement park there not enough time i think it should have been added into the tour schedule but what do i know definitely go there and buy lots of junk you don't need lol and chocolate
I haven't been there in 10 yrs, but it looks exactly the same. Except for the cars, they never had screens built into them. It smells like chocolate throughout the entire tour (and outside as well) and they give you free chocolate at the end. It's really cool.
Back in the 60's or early 70's - someone help me with the time frame plz - the actual factory was opened to tours! I remember walking around big machines and seeing kisses on the floor from where they fell off the conveyer belts. When hubby and I went back with our kids, for the first time in a while, I was shocked to see the ride thru tour! Bummer. But free candy is always excellent!
Oh I've wanted to go there for a very long time now. I never really knew how big the whole place is. Amazing...the whole thing reminds me of Willy Wonka. Now that I've seen all there is to do, I'm gonna plan a trip. Thanks for sharing!!!
While planning be sure to visit Hershey Park and ZooAmerica, you can do both when you visit the park because the zoo is included with you admission to the park!
I grew up in Lancaster which was only about 20-25 minutes. So we go here all the time. And I’m so lucky and blessed to being able to come here kinda frequently. I don’t normally go to Hersheypark because it’s expensive especially if you are not a ride person like me. I still live in Lancaster and love to watch videos of people coming to Hershey because it’s cool to see people’s reaction to something that is so cool. I hope you enjoyed!
Cool! I went here around 2004, and it was great! Love how the whole area smells like chocolate! The Hershey Garden was fun too. Plants that smell like different things in the children’s area.
i am Renish from India. Its nice video, my mother shared this with me. She visited this place before 20 years and she told that Hershey has expanded lots. Thank you for making this video.
Ooooh weee I know a whole lotta people who are gunna be so happy you did this video!! Hahaha oh boy, glad you didn't get hit there at the beginning!! Candy kiiiisssssessss :*
This video brings back so many memories for me. I used to go to Hershey almost every new year when I was a child and loved it. I'm now 28 and itching to go back ASAP! I haven't been in years. Thank you for this video Adam
"Here we go, girls! Moooooooooooo. Mooooooooooo.MOOOOOOOOOOO! MOO!" I still remember the one before that; "The Great American Chocolate Bar" at the end.
Used to live close by in Lancaster, PA. I had a birthday party here one year and the characters came to visit it! Awesome place, my family would always go on the Chocolate World Ride before we went to the Hershey Bears (hockey) games who play pretty much next doors. Hope you enjoyed it Adam and thanks for filming this!
Everything that they make, is ridiculously delicious! Love those whatchamacallits! My favs are Mr. Goodbar and Special Dark... Adam, do you remember the Bar None bar? They were so good! 🍫🍫🍫Live long and prosper! 👏👏
I haven’t been to Hershey in almost 20 years but wow it has changed a lot! I know they have a water park there now which wasn’t there the last time I went there. I need to go again. It’s only about a 2 and a half hour drive from where I live.
Great video. Places like that are fun. They get you all hotfaced in something you ordinarily pass by everyday. Ha! Hard not to resist not buying anything. I use to love the Whatchamacallit commercials....”whatcha eating?” Endless childhood fun. Take care man.
Wow, I hadn't been there in years............thanks so much for going. They have added so much. I went when you could actually go into the factory. I still remember the smell.................Good memories. Loved it, thanks for sharing.
I grew up next to Hershey and The Hershey Amusement Part and it was like our Disneyland! I’m glad to see a video on this in my recommended since it’s been many years since I moved out of Pennsylvania.
“Chocolate. I remember when they first invented chocolate. Sweet sweet chocolate.” My portrayal of Pennsylvania in my United States Portrayed by SpongeBob video.
My parents lived in Harrisburg in the early ‘80’s. We went on the ride through the factory the first time we visited it. After that, every visit was strictly the park and the rides. My kids lived all of it. Thanks for this video. Very fun and enjoyable!
Wow, things sure have changed there! I remember in 1970 Grandpappy, Granny, Mom, Dad and I were able to tour the ACTUAL factory...I guess the factory is gone, now, but the ride looks cool. Also, they gave you a FULL size bar at the end. My Dad, a party pooper to the max, wouldn't go to the amusment park, though. Bucket list.
The factory is still there, but people can no longer take tours of it. When I was a kid, I heard a rumor that they got rid of the factory tours because people hept dropping things into the vats. I am not sure if that is true though. Officially they said that they stopped the factory tours because they could no longer accommodate the crowds that were coming to visit.
It's not the actual factory. The actual factory is at the other end of the park. (Well, the Hershey factory, anyway. The Reese's factory is further down the road.) That is just a high end visitor's center.
8:50 used to be an animatronic cow up there waving to people. 8:54 used to have 3 singing cows that would sing "Hershey's Milk Chocolate, tastes so sweet, Hershey's Milk Chocolate, ooh aaahh." and it'd repeat till you left that section of the room. Pretty awesome video! You were about 2 1/2 hours from where I live and I visit Hershey twice a year. I just go for Hershey Park, Chocolate World and ZooAmerica, it is amazing there at Christmas time! That one thing where you threw the Kiss through that slot thing, at Christmas time they have the kisses bells you see on commercial where they play We Wish You A Merry Christmas and you can wave your hand around to try and make them play the song on the commercial and it's pretty hard to do. Awesome video by the way! I'll have to visit the Hershey museum sometime. If you ever come back to Hershey you should check it out in December and also visit the zoo there.
Sorry you had to leave Pennsy so soon.Next time sta longer! Milton Hershey was guite a philantropist/started schools in Hershey for orphaned children. I used to lead student tours to Gettysburg;every American should visit there- turning point of the Civil War.Don't make the battlefield political;instead honor all the men who fought and died there and the largely ignored women who nursed them.Lincoln in the Gettysburg Address made it a place for all the people to honor ALL those brave soldiers, both Union and Confederate.Never forget their sacrifice!
Whatchamacallit's were one of my favorites, too. But Adam, do you remember that the original version didnt have a layer of caramel? Caramel was added about 1987. I preferred them without caramel.
Need to arrive at 9 when they open. There is no line for the ride at that time. We went Sunday morning, took the tour, drank milkshakes, had some other goodies and spent some money on chocolate and gifts. We live 2 hours away, so we came the day before and went to Hershey Park for opening day. I have been going to CW several times a year since I was born (hint, CW opened the year I was born). Love this place.
We just went here and loved it. Glad I was finally Able to take my kids. Just love the pacing of your videos. I felt like my dentist would not be too happy with me.

That place existed in the 60s? Looks early 2010s
@Aiden Romito
I was there in 2008 and it was 90% the same as in this video so it’s definitely been around since before the early 2010’s
@@PrinceApollo117 I am sure like any tourist place. It has been updated.

Omg, funny running into you here!
OMG, your job is on a literal treadmill. PROPS to you, hon. You get those dollars!!
Hard to diet when you work in a chocolate factory 😂
Nice to meet someone who works at such a happy place.
That was really sweet with the kids. They didn't want their faces blurred out. Good video, Adam.
Loved the kids that helped you out and then wanted to be in your video. That was very cute. Hopefully you’ve made three new fans of roadside attractions!

E.T. Would love this factory- Reese’s Pieces!
i am Renish from India. Its nice video, my mother shared this with me. She visited this place before 20 years and she told that Hershey has expanded lots. Thank you for making this video.
Hey Adam thanks for posting a Vlog on Birthday, that's a great way to celebrate. Thank you my friend

Super Enthused 💩 for the record this was suppose to be a heresy kiss originally..😁
KLEARSKI THE KREEPER I know that was an autocorrect, but heresy kiss is funnier than Hershey kiss!
Super Enthused 😂oops! 🍫
This video brings back so many memories for me. I used to go to Hershey almost every new year when I was a child and loved it. I'm now 28 and itching to go back ASAP! I haven't been in years. Thank you for this video Adam
When they had the theme "its the milk chocolate" it was so addictive! They screwed up a hell of a gem, in terms of catchy themes.
"Here we go, girls! Moooooooooooo. Mooooooooooo.MOOOOOOOOOOO! MOO!"
I still remember the one before that; "The Great American Chocolate Bar" at the end.
I still miss the "Hershey's Chocolate, Hershey's Chocolate, it's a Hershey's Chocolate woooorld!" one..
@@kanechrist4213 they changed the end of the ride now its different
My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Hershey for our honeymoon back in 2006, great place!
Very cool !
Great video. Places like that are fun. They get you all hotfaced in something you ordinarily pass by everyday. Ha! Hard not to resist not buying anything. I use to love the Whatchamacallit commercials....”whatcha eating?” Endless childhood fun. Take care man.
They are so dang good
Wow, I hadn't been there in years............thanks so much for going. They have added so much. I went when you could actually go into the factory. I still remember the smell.................Good memories. Loved it, thanks for sharing.
Who remembers the original ride before they updated it with the modern tech
I grew up next to Hershey and The Hershey Amusement Part and it was like our Disneyland! I’m glad to see a video on this in my recommended since it’s been many years since I moved out of Pennsylvania.
It's like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory only it's Adam the woo👍
And everything is just digital images and nothing is real.
The signature Whistling B roll for I’m Adam the whoo was the best part of the video
“Chocolate. I remember when they first invented chocolate. Sweet sweet chocolate.” My portrayal of Pennsylvania in my United States Portrayed by SpongeBob video.
Start rubbing me with that chocolate!
My parents lived in Harrisburg in the early ‘80’s. We went on the ride through the factory the first time we visited it. After that, every visit was strictly the park and the rides. My kids lived all of it. Thanks for this video. Very fun and enjoyable!
Enjoyed the video very much . Thank you for the tour Adam and the upload .
Dude what's up with those creepy faces behind the 3 posters you showed at the end?
Lmg, you're thinking it's some weird illuminati or conspiracy?
On a diet..would give it all up for a giant Reese's cup lol.
Love You Adam. Thanks for always keeping it light and wholesome. Hope your having a wonderful day.
All we need now is a glass elevator, that takes you to any room in the factory.
It's not the actual factory. The actual factory is at the other end of the park. (Well, the Hershey factory, anyway. The Reese's factory is further down the road.) That is just a high end visitor's center.
@@theoriginalsache wait really? Didn't know that
8:50 used to be an animatronic cow up there waving to people.
Adam I’m still here fallowing your journey to some beautiful and awesome places. Thank you for all you do brotha 👍🏼🤙🏼
YUMMY YUMMY. loved this. Adam.
OMG!!! I’ve always wanted to go there 😲 thanks for all you do Adam!
I love reeses peanut cups
Thanks for visiting my town!! Glad you enjoyed it
The Daliy Woo: put your hands in the air
Me: like you just don't care
It’s amazing to see someone you watch on TH-cam to make a video about a place you go to multiple times a year
I go to Hersheypark every year ever since I was like 2
so close to me!! im so happy you decided to visit this themepark, along with the town. hope you can come back soon!
Hersey chocolate isn't the only sweet thing in this video. That's a SWEET SHIRT, Adam! ;)
Squeezed into it
SORRY! I thought you'd said previously that that was your size!
Thank you for sharing the views we will be visiting Hershey World this Saturday traveling 7 hrs away.
THIS PLACE IS SWEET...
Whatchamacallit's were one of my favorites, too. But Adam, do you remember that the original version didnt have a layer of caramel? Caramel was added about 1987. I preferred them without caramel.
Holy cow, you're EXACTLY like Shatner! :D
Been watching way too much TOS lately , almost done with season 2
TheDailyWoo - There’s never too much TOS buddy!
TheDailyWoo Does TOS = The Original Series? I'm not cool. Also, your Arnold is way better than your Bill. ;)
Hope you go to Hersheypark
By far, your video is best of all the one I watch for chocolate tour. Thank you!
Good morning Adam
Need to arrive at 9 when they open. There is no line for the ride at that time. We went Sunday morning, took the tour, drank milkshakes, had some other goodies and spent some money on chocolate and gifts. We live 2 hours away, so we came the day before and went to Hershey Park for opening day. I have been going to CW several times a year since I was born (hint, CW opened the year I was born). Love this place.
Shout out to those boys for not thinking you're a creepy old man lol😂
I went here back in 1998. Thanks for letting me relive my memories. Please return to Hershey Park to ride the Wildcat and Super Duper Looper!
I was in Hershey when he was dang It didn’t see him.
We just went here and loved it. Glad I was finally Able to take my kids. Just love the pacing of your videos. I felt like my dentist would not be too happy with me.
Rest in peace gene wilder
So cool, I work at Hershey park ! Glad you had fun❤️
You should go to Hershey Park
Definitely.
He should unless if he's not into rides or roller coasters.
Glad you enjoyed my hometown Adam. Would love to have you back and show you some more history.
I was hoping to see an Oompa Loompa...
