In 1963 when I was 9, my family packed up the station wagon in California, and like every other family in America then, took a cross country trip. I still vaguely remember Hersey Park, but it was more of a factory tour back then, I think.
There used to be the actual factory tour, then they created the Chocolate World experience when crowds got too large to accommodate in the actual factory. But the park's been there for a long time, over a hundred years old.
Just booked a weeks stay in July to Pennsylvania and bought tickets to Hershey park for a day. We are super excited to go! Thank you for posting this!!
No, you're not wrong. Hershey Park used to have a thing where you went into a room and they filmed you singing. I have a video of my six year old self singing Hakuna Matata we got from it.
My invitation got lost in the mail, I’m sure. As a local, I can confidently say yes it’s worth it! Also, you need me as a tour guide! I can tell you so much about Hersheypark!
I'm not sure which theme park had Chick-fil-a first, but Carowinds has had one for many years. Looks like you had fun! Real shame about the crowds, I bet all the non-Disney parks will be like that this summer. Everyone's so bored
First time I went to Hershey you could tour the ACTUAL factory!!! 😮. Then next time like 30 years later I did what you did in this video. Lol. It was sooo much better when you could see the actual factory. But I LOVE the chocolate store!! Such cool yummy stuff there!
My first time going is 2015-2016 and it was there it was isn’t this building with a lot of colors I though it was an old building so maybe you didn’t notice it(no one used to go on it wasn’t really popular)
We just went this weekend. We had a great time. Went with a one and three year old so was a little different experience. Cool that there is a zoo and water park too.
I wish the amusement park leaned more into the candy theme. Most of the rides just felt like generic rides that happen to be in Hershey Park. Chocolate World was a lot closer to what I was expecting. It might be local pride because I grew up centered between Dollywood, Carowinds, King’s Dominion, and Busch Gardens, but I also felt that the thrill rides in Hershey were underwhelming and too short.
i know this video isnt an invitation to give suggestions but if u ever get the opportunity u should definitely make the pilgrimage to dollywood in pigeon forge, tn. its like in the top 5 theme parks in the country and lightning rod is like one of the top 3 roller coasters in the world atm so if the stars ever align that u feel like u want to go there and its financially feasible itd be a good experience and would make for a good video i think
I wonder how many American visitors to that park think that Hershey's invented the Kit Kat when it was originally created and sold by Rowntree's of York in Yorkshire, England.
Dollywood’s cinnamon bread is _so good_ they even made a T-shirt for it. Every time I go, I make sure to get a loaf. I also prefer the rides at Dollywood over Hershey’s. And they’re more accommodating to larger guests, surprisingly. You’d think a theme park owned by a candy company would be better at accommodating larger guests.
What time did you arrive at the park, and what time did you wrap up w/ guest services/get inside & walk around? I’m going to Hershey w/ my wife & kids at the end of May, and seeing 3-hour waits for a coaster (I’m assuming Candymonium?) and an hour for the carousel have me a little worried so I’d like to get a game plan before then. Thanks!
We arrived at park open but I would head to the Guest services further in the park to save some time. Sunday's looked slower than Saturday. Head to the rides in the back first then work your way to the front.
@@KevinHeimbach Thanks for the reply! I think the part of the video that confused me was when you mentioned being stuck at guest relations for 90 minutes at the start of your visit; I didn’t know if that time included the line to get into the park/security check, or if you just got held up at guest relations. My family visits a couple of times a year so we know our way around the park, and we typically stay at the Hershey Lodge so we get the perk of entering an hour before the general public. I was trying to figure out by what time I needed to get there so I wasn’t staring at a 3-hour wait for Candymonium right out the gate!
Sir what you are pointing at saying is the old factory is actually the hershey lodge. The original factory is located on 422 across from the hershey theater and the new factory is located behind the Reese’s plant on old west chocolate Ave.
“The Hershey factory up there”? That was the Milton Hershey School. Sorry, but most of the factory was demolished and it isn’t ‘up there’. It is in town and you won’t see it from the parking lot. Do your homework. Very cheesy.

When Kevin is in your home state and goes to an amusement park you’ve gone to your whole life
👁👄👁
So funny I forgot to laugh!!

No, you're not wrong. Hershey Park used to have a thing where you went into a room and they filmed you singing. I have a video of my six year old self singing Hakuna Matata we got from it.
What you pointed to in the beginning is NOT the old Hershey factory. It is part of the old Milton Hershey High School.
It’s actually Milton Hershey Middle School
I won tickets to Hershey park in a coloring contest once... yes, I’m that cool
I literally so bad at art
My invitation got lost in the mail, I’m sure. As a local, I can confidently say yes it’s worth it! Also, you need me as a tour guide! I can tell you so much about Hersheypark!
We'll be back don't worry LOL
:)
Lol it's been a while, but Hersheypark was always a good memory... went there for a bunch for school trips and summer vacations
Pure nostalgia for me... same with O.C MD. Making me miss home Kevin.
I live beside Hershey park. They did remodel the whole front.
I'm not sure which theme park had Chick-fil-a first, but Carowinds has had one for many years. Looks like you had fun! Real shame about the crowds, I bet all the non-Disney parks will be like that this summer. Everyone's so bored
Omg I literally haven’t been to Hershey Park in over 6 years daaaaaamn I didn’t know how much it changed
I used to work there and my sister works at the large store at the entrance, which is new this year.
I used to leave about an hour away from Hershey Park.. we would go at least once a year. It’s a great park
First time I went to Hershey you could tour the ACTUAL factory!!! 😮. Then next time like 30 years later I did what you did in this video. Lol. It was sooo much better when you could see the actual factory. But I LOVE the chocolate store!! Such cool yummy stuff there!
I love the laugh track!! It is my fav ride there.
Thanks for visiting Hershey! We are so glad the park is open again, and yes Pa weather sucks lol, but we always manage to have a great time 🤩😁
i was going to say, that Candy Monium ride, reminded me of the Mako coaster for sure , definitely needs to make my way to that park for sure.
Jeez-Louise Hershey is busy - and yes they just remodelled the entrance last year.
Hershey Park was like "rocken Rollercoaster but freaking scary and spin"
at 1:55. yes they remodeled it. last time i was there i remember all the trees were removed to make space for more area
The limon kit kats are so good! They have them at cvs and target. I don't know if it's everywhere but they have them in California
Being from MD, I used to visit Hershey all the time as well and I do not remember that laugh track attraction at all.
My first time going is 2015-2016 and it was there it was isn’t this building with a lot of colors I though it was an old building so maybe you didn’t notice it(no one used to go on it wasn’t really popular)
I will not rest until I find the original “it’s a must” video!
I believe in you
I love Hershey Park !!
We just went this weekend. We had a great time. Went with a one and three year old so was a little different experience. Cool that there is a zoo and water park too.
And we went to Disney World last month and we thought Hersheypark was busier too.
I wish the amusement park leaned more into the candy theme. Most of the rides just felt like generic rides that happen to be in Hershey Park. Chocolate World was a lot closer to what I was expecting.

I really want to go on that coaster! As usual...great video!
Omg I live near there! Such a good park
Also both Mako and Candymonium are B&M hyper coasters, so it makes sense they would be similar.
Lighting Racer closed? What a bummer. I was just there on Monday! Lighting Racer is my favorite ride.
My dad works here and it’s the only park I went to but it’s my favorite park I love it
"All I see is 'peacock'......and 'Harry Potter'." Same!
I live in Hershey and I go multiple times a week, it’s worth it, that’s all I can say, it’s worth it,
Remember up on the hill is the Milton Hershey school not the factory.
You should visit lagoon in Utah if you like coasters they have big rides look up cannibal you would love it
Also notify me if you do go to Dollywood I live close and I would love to be in the video hehe
8:33
Yes that was the American Idol thingy! Just wanted to say.
Thank you:) I was so sure that I remembered it

Best amusement park and keeps getting better! Watch out six flags and cedar fair!!!!!
An hour and a half to get in? I’m dreading that part.
The entire front and front coaster was added last year
I wonder how many American visitors to that park think that Hershey's invented the Kit Kat when it was originally created and sold by Rowntree's of York in Yorkshire, England.
Check out Knoebels next time your in PA
Love your videos Kevin you need to go to Dollywood they are known for their cinnamon bread just saying
Dollywood’s cinnamon bread is _so good_ they even made a T-shirt for it. Every time I go, I make sure to get a loaf.

What Theme Park in the United States Should I visit next?
It’s not at all the greatest park but six flags?
Knoebels is a hidden gem of a theme park also in PA!
Carowinds in Charlotte, NC!! It's my childhood amusement park.
Cedar Point
Cedar Point is a must see.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HERSHY PARK IS THE BESTTTTT I LOVE IT
The entire front enterance is brand new !!
It was remodelled over the last 2 years as Candymonium was being built
What time did you arrive at the park, and what time did you wrap up w/ guest services/get inside & walk around? Awesome show
Hershey made a multimillion dollar investment into the park, focusing mostly on the entrance/ Chocolatetown and Candymonium, all new for 2020.
I been to this park before. About 12 years ago.
I live 30 mins from hershey park! i love it there!
Cedar point also has chick fil a
5:51 was there joker toxin in those crab fries? I’m concerned
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Should you visit Hersheypark? I've pondered this question at length and after careful consideration I've determined that... yes, you should.
Whole new entrance and coaster last year
even i felt awkward when the kitkat said nothing
Cool
Welcome to everyone who is not from PA. A lot of things have changed after covid. Annoying. That and Dorney Park
As a marylander, crab fries is very misleading 😭
Can you go to great wolf Lodge
Yes
11:45 he recast Jared?
I want to go again in December u think it’s ok to go in December
It's really cold but a lot of fun
@@KevinHeimbach going to go oN December 1-5 longest it doesn’t snow I’m. From Miami Florida I see all your videos
I’m getting vaccinated soon and I won’t have to wear a mask( it’s gonna be to be hot) and I will be safe while enjoying my stay
