Target the powerplants

You can't with weapons that don't pierce the hull. A class1 multicannon and cytoscrambler almost never penetrate.

@@BradleyGibbs With 0,7 breach damage per hit at 40% to 80% chance, and we haven't subtracted the armor hardness ratio. Yeah, have fun with that, you are better off reducing the hull to zero.

Targeting subsystems doesn't mean that you will no longer do damage to the hull.
When you're already doing suboptimal damage, taking another small advantage isn't going to hurt.
