It doesn't really make sense to play Horizons when you have Odyssey, because all the Horizons content is in Odyssey as well.

@@kepler186f4 The commands for the ship content should be the same, but anyway the progress in Horizons (Live version, NOT Legacy!) transfers to Odyssey, so you can choose any time which version you would like to play.

@@kepler186f4 Just in case, make a backup of your keybinds, I think there were cases where the keybinds didn't transfer.

Me too, even though we don't Odyssey on console. I wish we did! There are a lot of people playing on Xbox, and I meet new CMDRS everyday.

@@Timmy51m I think the space battle was a high difficulty, and the ground is a medium difficulty. That being said, the ground npcs aren't very smart

@@Slamscape-X Yeah, they didn't look too bright, I mean one of them said "it's just you and me now" when clearly that wasn't the case lol. The space battle was medium intensity. Has Odyssey improved the game for you outside of ground combat at all? It's only £10 now over here by the looks so much cheaper than it used to be. I mainly like doing passenger missions.

@Timmy51m If the space was medium, I think I just got unlucky that the spec ops wouldn't leave me alone. I do enjoy exobiology, it's good money too. I mean I enjoy being able to leave the ship and walk around. That being said if it's on sale and you like elite already it's probably worth it. There are also some quality of life things in odyssey, like seeing a list of your missions and their distance in the galaxy map, there are others but I don't know them off the top of my head.

Thanks about the transition, I really worked longer than I'd like to admit on it, I'm not completely happy with it but at some point you just have to let it live as is. Not to spoil part 2 but I do try a CZ in the courier again. Funny with the ground combat, as I was watching it I was thinking, I really need to get a plasma loadout going lol

Yeah the shard cannons would work, at medium size they have like 2-3 dps more than the Sirius Missile racks. The main issue is the regular shard cannons have a very large spread, you have to be very close to the heat core to hit all pellets. So if you don't make it to the core before it starts descending you miss out on dps, plus long reload between volleys. If you got time try out both, but if you're interested in the Sirius racks they're at Sirius mega ships, I've added the inara link to the video description, just sort by megaship and you'll be able to find the places to acquire the missile racks. Just know to unlock and purchase for each missile rack you need 12 Mechanical Equipment, 6 Heat Dispersion Plate, 8 Vanadium, 5 High Density Composites, and 5 Military Supercapacitors.

You can't with weapons that don't pierce the hull. A class1 multicannon and cytoscrambler almost never penetrate.

@@antonk.653 you can And the class one multicannon will penetrate at above margin of error rates.

@@BradleyGibbs With 0,7 breach damage per hit at 40% to 80% chance, and we haven't subtracted the armor hardness ratio. Yeah, have fun with that, you are better off reducing the hull to zero.

@@antonk.653 huh? No? Targeting subsystems doesn't mean that you will no longer do damage to the hull. When you're already doing suboptimal damage, taking another small advantage isn't going to hurt.
