Thanks Ricardo! I came to similar conclusions. I do like Guardians Hull though 👍

Is there a video anywhere for farming the materials required?

Odyssey Military Settlements in Thargoid Controlled Systems.
Bring a Scorpion and take out Revenants...then grab as many core chips as possible before they respawn and blow you up!
I'm doing it right now, if you'd like to join me? (it can be a little tricky alone!)

Very similar to my build. Main difference is I prefer to forgo the shield in favour of a 5d repair limpet and I bring a class 4 cargo rack. It makes for a far more fragile ship but for me the lower heat and power requirements that come from ditching the shield mean I take a lot less fire (from everything other than glaives). As I usually fly solo having a few repair limpets along helps out after the runs where a glaive spots me.

FDev doesn't even know what's up from down. When we asked for engineering of Guardian modules? This is not what we meant. We meant engineering for lower heat, higher damage, integrity etc. The whole anti-field thing was such a dumb idea in the first place.
The entire reason why we could never engineer Guardian modules was because they were designed to be engineering alternatives for people wanting to get into Thargoid combat but didn't want to do the whole engineering unlock grind, in addition to material farming for those modules. It offered a means of introducing people to the Guardian sites/ technology, codex's/ lore and the beacons...all as you were unlocking this stuff. It made more sense, as a means of acquiring the modules needed to fight the bugs, so that you can hop right into the world of Thargoids and Guardians, from the get-go. Now? We are just engineering Guardian modules to make them relevant again, in all Xeno related activities. This begs the question: why was there ever an Anti-Guardian field?
I figured, that the AG field had only ever existed in order to push players towards human technology more, since it was underutilized, when compared to the Guardian weapons, which was still stupid because almost nobody who has engineers unlocked uses the already underutilized Guardian HRPs, MRPs, as well as the power plants and the power distributors and so they had to impact those as well, which only further rendered them useless assets to have in the game. But now that we've basically undone all of that and are now heading back into the other direction again? It all seems kind of pointless. So? Now we're having to grind just to get back to where we were.
It wasn't but 2022, during the Salvation narrative, that I had told my buddy, "Hey, look... I know you're dreading the whole engineer unlock and material grind but trust me, when I say that you don't need to do that and that there's a more fun way to do this, though I still recommend that you at least get Palin unlocked): Let's just go to the Guardian sites and wrangle up the blueprints and Guardian materials needed to unlock the core needed modules for you. I can use a topping off myself. You just need to unlock; Guardian PP/ PD, a 2x C1 and 2x C2 Gauss (or other, if preferred)...and just throw them into an A-Rated ship, like the Chieftain/ Krait, along with military grade armor, a few HRPs, a couple MRPs, an AFM and Xeno limpets and a small cargo rack...and you're good!" I had advised this because that is exactly what I had basically done, at one point, back when I sold a lot of my engineered modules a lot more frequently and we rolled ships for other purposes... And it worked quite well! But you can't tell anybody that anymore because it's not true. If you have a buddy that doesn't want to do the whole engineering thing that wants to get involved in and experience all aspects of Xeno activities, they're going to have to do this plus build an entirely human ship with AX missiles and multi-cannons. Because, now? If you piss around with unlocking Guardian modules? You're just telling new people to "go unlock the modules and then go grind for materials to make them useful and, oh! You have to do Thargoid things for the materials needed to make them useful." At least, I'm assuming that Ram requires Thargoid materials, in order to treat Guardian modules. Regardless, my point remains: you have to do further grinding in order to make useful 80% of the already under utilized ship modules.

      Good question!
The modified shards are already classed as engineered - so they weren't engineerable with the last iteration of Ram Tah's modifications, but it's certainly worth rechecking.

Guardian PP and PD are trash. only need one of each heatsink and caustic sink. Tie your heat sinks to your nanite torpedoes trigger and you'll always be cold on your vents runs and you'll be faster from less weight and less power draw and I go shield less and not a single rebuy this Titan.
