Heck I cut my dad slack on his views and he is only in his early 60’s. That seems to be the big issue with Hollywood is the double standards.
Clint Eastwood's views are shared by the world and all ages. As you get older and rewatch his films, you'll begin to see that the messages in them transcend time because they are timeless. Many people don't want to recognize their own ignorance and ugliness but he'll show it to you and make you think for just a second what it really looks like and how it's not often what you thought at all. He challenges people to wake up. His films are just as much for the future.
Woody Allen has never been a on-set problem, or audition process. Nothing has ever come up. Still. That's why he was always working. Just the old acquitted domestic stuff. If the "moral police" applied everyone equally in the wrong, past & present you get a black screen.
Thank you for helping to promote his movie! I’ve loved Clint Eastwood my whole life. He’s such a special guy. My mom got to meet him once at his bar in Carmel. In Gran Torino, he showed a way it was in his (my) day amongst different nationalities and cultures. It was a marvelous movie. It is a HUGE part of America that was without violence. I am from upstate NY and northeast PA where there wear SO many different neighborhoods and we loved our neighbors, laughed at each other, and had fun. There were Irish pubs, Italian and Greek restaurants, polish markets, Ukrainian churches that sold holupki on Fridays that I could pick up on the way home from work. It was marvelous. I, for one, plan on watching every movie Clint puts out despite what the Hollywood establishment thinks or does in relation to that movie. We don't know how much longer we are going to have him-he is irreplaceable.
I've been a Clint fan for almost 60 years and even had a "poncho" when I was 10 years old in 1968. I've seen everything he has done many times. Best line ever (out of so many): "Dyin' ain't much of a livin', boy."
Hollywood is not dying, it's dead. We are just witnessing the messy bleed-out of an industry that prospered for around 120 years. Let us hope out of the ashes some true art rises. But yes...you are CORRECT, him being a Republican and old school means you get kicked out of the club!
Love Clint, all his movies, even loved, Bridges of Madison County, and I cant stand Miss Streep 😅! Born in '66, i can remember his early cowboy movies, and TV shows, from the early 70's, Dirty Harry, early 70's, his comedy ventures mid 70's Every Which Way But Loose, (Right Turn Clyde! 😂) 💕. Then the best Western ever, made in the early 90's, The Unforgiven, absolute masterpiece, 💕! Clint is a legend, and his footprint on this planet, will live on forevermore!
As I understand (from Argentina), Juror Nº2 was supposed to be a streaming project and Warner decided to release it in theaters, although it was limited, as a gesture towards Eastwood. According to whoever tells it, some say that this theatrical distribution is more of what was expected for the film and not the other way around. I don't know who can confirm this information, but both narratives have arrived.
@@discutio In Italy, I've heard that's a streaming project, exceptionally released in theatres for just a couple of days, too - and I was about to lose it myself.
My dad made me watch Clint's spaghetti western movies. I have come to love and respect this man's work and his art. Whenever I see him, I always think about my dad. My dad passed almost 20 years ago and in a huge way Clint reminds me how dad's still very much alive in my memories. Shame this cancel culture. Shame. 😢😢
My husband loves all his movies: I never was allowed to see his films in my parents’ home but my hubby loved them & I saw them all when we were dating.
Wow, Clint must’ve been mightily pissed not to turn up at his own premiere. What a stupid move by Warner. And Toni Collette and Nicholas Houston are such brilliant actors, the limited release is a snub to them too 😮
I LOVE him and I am do thankful that you are talking about him so kindly. I happen to agree with him in a lot of ways but even if I didnt i wish people would respect each other in spite of our political views. We are all human and I love how you treat everyone with kindness! ❤ I hadn't heard of this movie as well and now I need to watch it!
hey guys! Magnus please come back! i love watching both of you :) thanks for the update about Eastwood - i just love him! he reminds me of my grandpa in a way :) his movies are deep and always full of love and certain subtle humor :) im so happy he is still making them. if warner doesnt want him, Im sure he can go independent, as long as he is willing to create. the world needs Clint Eastwood as long as he lives!
I was an extra on Sully, that Clint directed, he's walking down the aisle of the airplane that I'm a seated pasenger in, behind the cameraman, during a rehearsed shot, and when he spotted an opened book I had in hand, he said to me, "Make sure you don't lose the page you're on when the plane crashes". Clint Eastwood Made My Day.
I just bought tickets to see Juror #2. There is plenty of room for different opinions and appreciating differences. Clint Eastwood is part of the fabric of movie history.
Love Clint Eastwood. He seems to be honest and genuine. Thank you for this video!! May I ask--have you ever interviewed Charlize Theron? I would be interested to learn if my opinion of her is warranted or if I am totally off base. Thank you!
@@Flaawsometalk Yes absolutly beautiful couple 🥰😍😍 Please, do more conversations together. Very intresting to hear you both. Best wishes from Stockholm Sweden 💕💕💕
Clint Eastwood is my second favorite actor of all time behind Denzel Washington. I’m 53 but I used to watch all of Clint Eastwood‘s movies and I used to wish he was my dad since I didn’t have one. And his son is the best looking guy in Hollywood!!! I don’t know why the son is not a bigger star.
I used to go to the cinema every week before Covid and then saw how crazy ideas in society were changing and I have never returned. Now I enjoy great movies on you tube👍
I avoid Hollywood productions. I don’t watch their movies anymore and if YT keeps censoring videos I won’t be watching here anymore. Rumble is growing.
I just watched Million Dollar Baby and love his acting and his character in it. It was that father figure on screen i didn’t know i needed. And the moment i saw this video i thought it’s something bad about him and got nervous and a bit irritated cuz I’m not ready to watch people saying negative about him.. but after watching this I love him more and totally agree with you guys 😊👏🏻
America in general and Hollywood in particular does not respect age, they are repulsed by it. I didn’t hear him say anything shocking or controversial. Why isn’t “his truth” important?🙄
I love your outfit in that Clint Eastwood interview! Gorgeous! Clint Eastwood is a living legend, and he's not even that wrong I believe. Being politically correct for everything is disturbing
Tell Magnus we love seeing him, even though I understand about not wanting to be on camera. I can't believe Clint is being treated that way, after so many years in the business. I think he's a genius director and deserves respect for what he's contributed to culture over the years. Thank you for this and YT needs to stop with the censorship!!
Hollywood is a facade, it always was and it should no longer surprise anyone. What maintains an enormous level of irony (and hypocrisy) is that a country who always championed freedom of expression (the famous first amendment), has such a degree of "sensitivity" about such mundane things. One thing is not wanting to undermine the business (after all, they are trying to sell a film), but it is another thing to censor an opinion as legitimate as the one Clint can have; a true artist with the greatest competence for such assessments. When someone has stayed in the craft as long as Clint has, one should stop and listen. And is also a shame the kind of censorship that extends to journalists who care to ask intelligent and challenging questions. As I said, a great facade and tremendous hypocrisy. Keep up the good work, Kjersti.
It is so valuable to at least listen to the opinion of one who came through such an age - depression, war, and through life. Documentary level to have recorded a person and their opinion who lived through such times in light of the current times. You don't have to agree with opinion, but you get an understanding where the person is coming from with these experiences.
This movie looks so good! I rarely encounter new movies that I would like to see, but I want to see this one. Great cast, too. Thanks for letting people know what's going on!
You got a call from WB. That’s unusual honestly. I bet TH-cam had no problem with it, but WB did so they got on the phone with TH-cam and had it taken down. More than likely they have some sort of Nondisclosure agreement with people they employ and they feel Clint crossed the line.
Clint Eastwood is a legend and has starred in (and/or directed) some absolutely classic movies (including "Unforgiven" and "The Outlaw Josey Wales" and "Dirty Harry" to name just three). He's also (now) 94 years old and whether I agree with his take on things or not I value his opinion and I'm always happy to hear what he has to say.
Kjersti You are my favorite podcaster, Live how You interview, so awesome, and of course LOVE it when I see You & Your Man together here, Your both great interviewers !!!
The thing is, is that he understands the goodness and the darkness of man’s heart. He uplifts the good. He will take you through the nuances of being human in his movies. I’d say from what he expresses in his movies he understands people very well.
I was going to make a comment along the same lines but you beat me to it and said it possibly better. You understand what some just don't. The man is deeply thoughtful and very advanced.
I love Clint Eastwood and his movies. I will def. make sure to watch this movie. He is straightforward and a no bullshit kind of guy. Thanks for sharing.
When I was a small child in the 60's we had about 6 channels, of course this was before cable so we didn't have a lot of choices. My siblings and I watched all of Clint Eastwood's Westerns and every episode of Rawhide. He is a great man, a talented actor and truly a legend in my book. I think he has done more than his share for Hollywood and has earned the right to say what he wants.
Warner hasn't had the best of years, and they might budget accordingly, like maybe they expected Joker to pay for the budget to market this, and that didn't come through. When you know how erratic executive decisions are its kind of nuts. It also sounds like a critics darling film, which can sound alarms, what if critics are the only people going because its not Marvel?
They´ve been spitting on his movies for quite a while now. I loved Gran Torino, a fantastic movie. To your point, I hadn' t heard of either those two movies of his that you mentioned. Im watching both now. Tak Kjersti og Magnus!
Clint Eastwood has been a hero of mine and I have really enjoyed him since I was a kid. I'm 53 years old now so, growing up in America I was just a pre teen watching the newly arrived HBO. At the time it was amazing that I could watch movies in my house! I would point out that the movie "Bronco Billy" with Clint's real life romantic partner, Sondra Locke, there was a very dramatic rape scene that was done in a way that portrayed the horror of the situation. So he would have been very sympathetic to the motivations behind the "me too" movement where appropriate. He directed attention at this issue long before "me too" came along. Also I have family near Halden, Norway! Nice to see a good conservative viewpoint coming from that country. Cheers!
Strangely enough, Juror n 2 was advertised in many countries, also here in Spain. I went to see it on opening day , Halloween, and I quite enjoyed it. It is disrespectful what they are doing with Clint Eastwood, it might be his last movie for Goodness sake ! Thank you both for a great video and especially thank you Magnus for being once more , although you don't like it, in front of the camera ! Thank you so much.
Not only is everything you said about Eastwood true, but he is also very much known for never going over the budget that was allocated for the film. He never is late in his delivery time, usually he’s early with the product. He also ends up doing it for LESS money than was budgeted. He truly is the GOAT.
I love Clint. They put Juror #2 in theaters here in Silicon Valley. I was checking the Fandango charts and after the first weekend, nobody was buying tickets. There was entire showings with zero seats sold. This Saturday evenings 5 pm show has 5 seats sold.
Clint Eastwood is a legend actor and director and it's terrible how Hollywood is treating him. REELZ "Clint Eastwood Hollywood Outlaw" was excellent. Watch it if you can. 15:17 to Paris was a great movie! Kjerstia and Magnus, loved your summary at the end. Very well said.
Clint Eastwood is the last, great, true movie star. I've never seen him give a poor performance. He stepped into the industry and learned everything he could about it. Now, we have some of the greatest acting and directing there is. It will be a tremendous loss when he passes.
I agree with Clint on letting people speak honestly, it is wretchedly boring to hear everyone parroting the same party lines, and it's dishonest and we will never get anywhere as a society like that. Parroting hamsters on a wheel 😢 great video Kjersti we always enjoy a Magnus appearance!
I think you guys are great!!! ❤ And Clint is very much a legend! This is a very scary thing i think.. that we cant express different opinions. One can wonder what kind of world we are going to have down the line 😢

I agree @@jeffrey3498feelings and thoughts underpin our conversation and interactions, to say it can be ridiculous just because he is expressing his feelings in a conversation about his work....is well... ridiculous....we can use critical thinking and be discerning about what someone is saying and agree/ disagree without cancelling the conversation....keep talking Clint!
@@jeffrey3498- He's entirely free to express whatever he wants to say. He has not been arrested, last time I checked.
He is spot on! When did we get so afraid of honest debate!? And when did "sticks and stones..." stop being true?
LOVE, LOVE CLINT EASTWOOD!!!!!!! Can’t wait to see his Movie!
I like it when Magnus is on with you! I enjoy hearing his perspective too.
94 years old? WHAT! THATS actually very disturbing to me!
God bless you Clint.
That’s interesting
@@discutio In Italy, I've heard that's a streaming project, exceptionally released in theatres for just a couple of days, too - and I was about to lose it myself.
Thank you for this. We appreciate your fairness and charm❤
Clint Eastwood is so talented! Shame on Hollywood.
Video deleted? Join the club mateys. GREAT interview btw. LOVE Clint Eastwood.
thx! Captain "Long John" Sinclair.
Juror #2 is an excellent movie. 👌
Wow, Clint must’ve been mightily pissed not to turn up at his own premiere. What a stupid move by Warner. And Toni Collette and Nicholas Houston are such brilliant actors, the limited release is a snub to them too 😮
You guys are great! Thanks for the video.
I LOVE him and I am do thankful that you are talking about him so kindly. I happen to agree with him in a lot of ways but even if I didnt i wish people would respect each other in spite of our political views. We are all human and I love how you treat everyone with kindness! ❤
I hadn't heard of this movie as well and now I need to watch it!
Thank you for saying that. I am so grateful for your support. Let me know what you think of the movie.
I agree with you. History has shown what happens when everyone is forced to support the same opinions and beliefs.
hey guys! Magnus please come back! i love watching both of you :)
thanks for the update about Eastwood - i just love him! he reminds me of my grandpa in a way :) his movies are deep and always full of love and certain subtle humor :) im so happy he is still making them. if warner doesnt want him, Im sure he can go independent, as long as he is willing to create. the world needs Clint Eastwood as long as he lives!
Thank you and I will tell Magnus.
Kjersti, you totally exude old Hollywood glamour in that interview with Clint Eastwood
I agree. She looks stunning.
Aww, that's the best compliment ever. Thank you!
Huge Clint fan here. Thx for covering the disrespect he has suffered these last few years.
@Wyatt, Nice story. That sounds just like, Clint. All best.
I watched that interview, and was very impressed with it. Smart man! ❤
Thank you
Thanks!
awww, thank you so much!! You just made my day.
Thank you!
Thank you. And yes I have interviewed Charlize. I like her, but she is a bit intimidating. Maybe because she is so beautiful
@ Thank you! I am so enjoying your videos.
You guys are a beautiful couple!
Aw, thank you!
@@Flaawsometalk Yes absolutly beautiful couple 🥰😍😍
Please, do more conversations together.
Definitely going to rent the movie now, can't stand censorship & disrespecting legends like Mr. Eastwood!
I used to go to the cinema every week before Covid and then saw how crazy ideas in society were changing and I have never returned. Now I enjoy great movies on you tube👍
I saw it yesterday, here in Italy, too
It's something perfect, isn't it??❤
@Noise, Many thanks. A million best wishes from America.
That's awesome!!
Love the clips of your interview!!! What reason did yt give for removing it. Btw you look sensational in the interview, classy, professional, stunning
Thank you so much!! They never gave me a reason.
I avoid Hollywood productions. I don’t watch their movies anymore and if YT keeps censoring videos I won’t be watching here anymore. Rumble is growing.
They make movies for children and people who think like children.
Loved Clint Eastwood and I still do. Last of the greats.❤❤❤❤
I love your outfit in that Clint Eastwood interview! Gorgeous! Clint Eastwood is a living legend, and he's not even that wrong I believe. Being politically correct for everything is disturbing
Thank you so much!!
Thank you and I will tell Magnus that
There IS no respect in Hollywood. Only power and money greed.
Hi, I was in Juror #2 and loved working on that set and love Mr. Eastwood. A class act.
That’s fantastic!!!
My nephew Jason was in it, too. He was one of the jurors.
Crazy they didn't market his movie. I'll never miss a Clint Eastwood movie. I'll go see it if they haven't removed it.
You got a call from WB. That’s unusual honestly. I bet TH-cam had no problem with it, but WB did so they got on the phone with TH-cam and had it taken down. More than likely they have some sort of Nondisclosure agreement with people they employ and they feel Clint crossed the line.
Allways been a fan of Clint
Clint Eastwood is a legend and has starred in (and/or directed) some absolutely classic movies (including "Unforgiven" and "The Outlaw Josey Wales" and "Dirty Harry" to name just three). He's also (now) 94 years old and whether I agree with his take on things or not I value his opinion and I'm always happy to hear what he has to say.
Kjersti You are my favorite podcaster, Live how You interview, so awesome, and of course LOVE it when I see You & Your Man together here, Your both great interviewers !!!
Wow, thank you! You made my day!!
We should honor our elders and learn from their wisdom.
We should all demand to be able to watch, “Jury #2”.. another great movie by an icon in the industry, mr. Clinton Eastwood…!
The thing is, is that he understands the goodness and the darkness of man’s heart. He uplifts the good. He will take you through the nuances of being human in his movies. I’d say from what he expresses in his movies he understands people very well.
@@barbarawedan6068 you said it perfectly.
Exactly 💯 we have to look at both sides of our nature....to deny or cancel does not serve us well
I was going to make a comment along the same lines but you beat me to it and said it possibly better. You understand what some just don't. The man is deeply thoughtful and very advanced.
You put that beautifully.

I grew up with one public channel in Norway. Different times, for sure. And yes, to free speach.
Australia in the 60's was 3 channels black and white until '75 then it was 3 channels in color,,, a huge deal.
@daiton-jon-f8179 Whoa, I thought I had it bad. ☺️
Been looking forward to this movie since I heard about it, and now that I know who's in it I'm going to do my darndest to watch it.
I don't think it's a critics darling film really. I don't usually like those. It's a great story with a very interesting plot.
Actors always speak highly of Clint Eastwood and the way he conducts them in his films.
They´ve been spitting on his movies for quite a while now. I loved Gran Torino, a fantastic movie. To your point, I hadn' t heard of either those two movies of his that you mentioned. Im watching both now. Tak Kjersti og Magnus!
Gran Torino was such an amazing film. Hope you enjoy this one too.
He should have gotten the best actor Oscar for Gran Torino frankly.
Marcus looks like the son of Malcolm McDowell and Sting 😂
Ha ha he hears that a lot
His films are great! This sounds like a great watch, will definitely look it up. Thank you for bringing attention to this Hollywood BS
That's awesome. It is only in the US that they limited theatrical release.
Not only is everything you said about Eastwood true, but he is also very much known for never going over the budget that was allocated for the film. He never is late in his delivery time, usually he’s early with the product. He also ends up doing it for LESS money than was budgeted. He truly is the GOAT.
Old school work ethic and common sense 👍
I’m 47 and I had a crush on him when I was a little girl! 😂
@Dogislove- "HAD a crush on him"? What about nowadays? He may be old but he still oozes the charisma of his distant youth.
I love Clint. They put Juror #2 in theaters here in Silicon Valley. I was checking the Fandango charts and after the first weekend, nobody was buying tickets. There was entire showings with zero seats sold. This Saturday evenings 5 pm show has 5 seats sold.
Wow. That's so sad. They did 0 marketing for this film so that explains it.
Clint is a talented actor 💚💚💚
He is an outstanding director, too!
Biggest iconic movie star Legend,no other big star has had this much longevity, last man still standing in Hollywood of his era 👏 👍
Thank you!
The clips you include here of Clint...are those the bits that got your 2018 interview taken down?
Yes
@@Flaawsometalk That's nuts. What he said was FINE! He was obviously trying to be careful and polite with how he worded things. Crazy.
Totally irrelevant to the topic, but, the colour of your top is fabulous.
It enhances your eye colour plus goes perfectly with the print behind you!
Aw, thank you!!
Always loved Clint Eastwood! 🫶
I enjoy having Magnus on too! Thank you for telling us about Clint Eastwood’s movie 👏🏻
13 decades in the industry. No wonder Magnus is giving tired dad energy.
