Byjus latest news about Byjus EGM where Byjus shareholders decided to fire Byjus CEO Byju Ravindran has been making rounds all over the business news headlines. This latest Byjus news has raised a lot of questions, not only about the Byjus crisis or the downfall of Byjus but also about the future of Ed-Tech industry in India. These questions are not easy to answer unelss we understand what really happened at Byjus.
The Byju Raveendran fired news has made everyone question the Byjus success story. The Byjus financial crisis was a big news just some days ago and now this new piece of news had made things worse for the erstwhile Byjus founder. We earlier heard about the Byjus lookout notice, and also about the the Byjus ED (Byjus Enforcement Directorate) issues relating to the Byjus financial crisis.
The Byjus current affairs do not present a good picture for India’s biggest ed-tech startup. Byjus startup success is now overshadowed by the Byjus crisis news as well as the news of Byjus founder fired after the Byjus EGM. Byjus share news has been dismal over the last few months as the valuation of the company has been plummeting constantly. In this video, I did a Byjus news analysis trying to explain what is happening at Byjus.
Byjus news latest updates have shocked everybody, mostly the people associated with the Ed-Tech industry or Ed-Tech startup scene. We earlier heard news about Byjus founder crying or Byjus founder breaking down, these news pieces were not verified but today this latest news of Byjus Raveendran being fired must’ve put the Byjus founder a lot of stress which he earlier may have tried to avoid.
The decision taken in the Byjus EGM is currently under scrutiny by the respected courts, however we can see a lot more drama at Byjus in the coming weeks. The core question here is about the nature of education and what problem exactly Byjus was trying to solve. The answer to this question lies in the fact that in my opinion, education is highly personalized and we cannot commoditize education without compromising on the end-goals and quality of the education in the process.
Byju's toxic work culture is known for a long time which has put many employees into a lot of problems. At the same time, having the brand name Byjus on their resume is making things difficult for the former employees of Byjus. This is a tough time for them just as much as it is a tough time for Byjus Raveendran. Byjus bankruptcy controversy may end sometime soon, however the aftermath of the fallout between Byjus shareholders and Byjus founder Byju Raveendran after the Byjus EGM is going to last for quite some time now. Hope you find this video valuable, see you in the next one.

We had Fiit Jee ,Aakash and other Jee coaching . The education sector works on fear of Middle class parents , if Byju goes down something else will come up but the sector won't die .

Nobody will listen to me an old man at 40. However, we never need to make our children a commodity for marketing. In my school/college time the teachers were good and our education was solid, no hype, no mobile no internet addiction. Parents must realise this, this whole edtech is a big scam just to suck money from parents. Trust your good old fashioned teachers post school hours.

Because of online education so many private tutors have lost their livelihood ... True that digitization helped us learn things easily from the comfort of our home but the downside is it created a huge degree of unemployment among teachers who lost their complete bread and butter ..... technology can be good but nowadays education is becoming a business more like any other commodity , the human touch is essential which we are loosing because of online educators ... everything has its plus but no one sees the minuses until its too late

The skill that I have developed and the maturity I have now came just from personal interaction with my professors. It is impossible to get online. I knew byjus will fail. They are tooooo commercial. The end is near buy buy byjus

Education should not be Productized. It has to be personalized .

And hence it can't be scaled! If we try to scale it - we will fall

Felt Byju was leveraging technology to achieve the dream of market dominance in Edtech space..In between this, presume he didn't strategise thoroughly to connect the dots on end user requirements to profiting, impacting leadership, ethics, etc..

BYJU is an extra-ordinary teacher, None can teach math as good as BYJU. Its just that he got over ambitious.

There is nothing called being over ambitious. He never worried about business fundamentals. He could have taken admission in IIM when he got the chance. It would have taught him about the best practices of management.

Investors destroyed that company😂... just like so many startups. Byju should have stepped back from CEO and managed it from the board with voting rights. Because the brand is Byjus and they are kicking him out... and essentially killing the brand.

@@kousik8042 Once you take money from investors they have a lot of say in CEOs strategy. Investors especially VCs use a pump and dump strategy so they can inflate and make money out of high valuations on their investments. They don't care what will happen to the company.

During the corona pandemic, Byjus is on the verge to acquire ed-tech products around the world and none of them made profits.
So, BYJUS went on burning the cash of investors that leads Ravindran to the road. 😢
