I am an American who discovered narrow boating at the beginning of the pandemic. Between Prime video & TH-cam, great discovery, fascinated by this lifestyle, envious that you folks in the UK have this as an option.

@@WidebeamandWellingtons Thank you for your speedy reply. I'm considering a 10X60 widebeam and wanted to know my options. It appears it may have to be a Cat "C" also to take advantage of the north and south sections via the coastal route. And that would open up a channel crossing for the European canals. I enjoy your vlog and wish you trouble free cruising.

And I was surrounded by other towns named Shrewsbury, Boston , Manchester, Dudley, Leicester, even Tewkesbury which took me years configure out. Apparently the early pilgrims missed their hometowns. Either that or they didn't have much imagination.😂

I noticed most if not all of these narrow and widebeam boats only have one toilet. Is it possible to have 2?
Hi yes it is possible to have 2, often the Aqualine 2 bedroom wide beams have 2, one pump out and one cassette 😁

Hi we think the shell is basically a ‘Hoxton’ but believe the interior may have been designed by New and Used, not 100% sure though 🤔

Hi 👋 we don’t know as we haven’t asked but I guess similar price to a top spec Collingwood Hoxton, you could have a look at their site 😁
At a guess I would say 150,000 to 180,000 pounds but not that familiar with wide beam prices!😅

We think at the time of filming it was over £200,000 however it was put up for sale sometime later and was under this, can’t remember exactly though! 😊

All these people are concerned about is the interior. They know virtually nothing about what actually constitutes a good boat. The interior might be luxurious but Collingwood shells aren't well respected.
We’ve had no problems with our Collingwood shell but I guess some of it comes down to how you look after them 😁
FAR TOO BIG AND A LOT OF EMPTY SPACE TO FILL WITH JUNK...MUCH PREFER A NARROW BOAT...

The biggie is the living room area - on a narrow boat they are so restricting, the narrowness is claustrophobic to me ! These wider boats mean each room is just like a smaller room in a house. So much more liveable ! Heyho - I am not going to be buying one so my opinion doesn't matter anyway! Each to his own thing !
