The boss theme's that stand out to me are the following: Experiement No-57 Corpus Raven Beak Chozo Solider Escue and Kraid. Those are my fav boss theme's out of this whole ost.
i absolutely love kraids theme. the fact he has his own boss theme now instead of a shared boss theme was interesting for me. and the fact that kraid was so strong that they HAD to restrain him heavily just to perform research. but still. i love the theme. it sets the mood for an enemy where . it may be EASY to beat. but one false move could spell death. he may be slow but he hits hard. i am just happy to see the chozo and kraid recieving more love in the franchise
Now that I hear it, Corpius's theme sounds incredibly similar to Z57's. Since they're the same species, it's like this fight is building up to the more powerful alien beast in the future. While the theme is still eerie and tense, it's slower. It's as if it's saying, "even though this beast is a threat, it's possible to take him down". With Z57, on the other hand, the increased speed and intensity increases the stakes and the urgency to kill this thing are high.
Each theme as I compare them to others: Corpius: Artaria. That's literally it. Aggressive Artaria. Kraid: Depends. Mostly Cataris, but there are traces of his theme from Super. Drogyga: In the Hydrated phase theme, there's some of Parasite Queen. Strangely, this is the only non-X area boss whose theme isn't using much from the area theme. It's really lacking there. X Bosses: Don't use much of anything, almost entirely original. Escue is the helicopter bug, the Experiment is either heavily modified Corpius or just it's own thing with similar looks, and Golzuna is the big ugly bug. Chozo: Mostly based in each other. Nothing like the Chozo Ghosts, who use a generic battle theme. All of them use a repeating bit in them, the heavy beats in the Robot and X Chozo Soldier themes being more prominent than the ones in Raven Beak's. Otherwise, nothing else to say.
Honestly, the only problem with music is that it's sometimes too quiet in-game. Like Hanubia and Burenia II were barely audible for me. However, Dread's ost is fantastic.
A lot of people have commented on how the melodies perhaps aren't as strong as they could be. I understand, but I find that a lot of songs achieve a really listenable feel not by having strong melodies but strong rhythms. Cataris I is a good example, as is Escue. Of course, there are the more melodic songs too, like Ferenia or Drogyga- they're just not quite as common in the soundtrack's most standout examples.
i know there are more boss fights in the game, but i think that e.m.m.i and that eye brain thing are more like mini bosses, And other chozo soliders have the same theme i belive.
Ridley's life cycle from a bird like creature to a space dragon is honestly super interesting to me, shame its in Other M. And baby kraid is legit just a small Kraid, as seen in Super.
Escue’s theme really captures the frenetic nature of the fight. I love that they used the “bumblebee sound”
Experiment Z-57’s theme is so good
It’s sense of panic slaps!
30:40
31:03
dreads ost is great, its like having maridia creepy feels for the whole game
I love Raven Beak's theme
Easily my favorite enemy track in probably all of Metroid.
Yes, even Ridley.
Especially 43:42
It's kinda similar to experiment z-57
43:42 plays every time he throws a sun
The boss theme's that stand out to me are the following:
Experiement No-57
Corpus
Raven Beak
Chozo Solider
Escue
and Kraid.

Wow! Drogyga's second phase sounds so trippy, I love it!
Say whatever you want about Dread's OST (I think it's pretty good), you gotta agree the boss themes are really good.

I like the music but it doesn’t stick in my head as much as Prime or Fusion music - maybe I just haven’t replayed it enough yet!
You haven't replayed it enough yet... 😬 It happened to me, now I'm obsessed with the soundtrack. ❤️ Artaria III is my favorite song of the game. 😎
the water theme is very good... i cant stop listening to it perfect blend of melody and creepyness
Honestly, the only problem with music is that it's sometimes too quiet in-game. Like Hanubia and Burenia II were barely audible for me.

Raven Beak, Z-57, and Escue have been stuck in my head since my first Playthrough.

Z-57 Gang assemble!!
I want to know what baby kraid and ridley look like, omg so cute :3
ever seen little birdie?
Baby ridley is a furby. We see him in the universally despised Metroid: Other M and I don't blame you for not hearing of Baby Ridley
Ridley's life cycle from a bird like creature to a space dragon is honestly super interesting to me, shame its in Other M. And baby kraid is legit just a small Kraid, as seen in Super.
I love escue's theme its just so good!!!
I tink the phase 2 of the chozo soiders is missing
Golzuna enjoyers rise
d-_-b
I love the way it sounds like a giant monster
They all sound like miniboss music not actually real bosses
Why does escues theme sound better here than in the game????
