I knew a person who said that all Zelda games where just copies of each other. I asked him how often a main series Zelda game is released. He said every year.
He then blocked me on everything for disagreeing with him and called me a Nintendo fanboy, even though, at that point in time I used a PC, Xbox 360, Wii and PS3. Now with the New Generation I am mostly Nintendo and Sony.
He said this because I was talking about the Zelda lore. Oh yeah, just so you know he only ever played Xbox. He called everyone who didn't play only Xbox a fanboy.
The moral of this story. Don't comment on TH-cam when drunk.

Yeah I have a friend similar to that. He won't accept the PC is vastly stronger than a console, and says that a mouse and keyboard is a terrible way to play fps. I don't actually have a good PC at the moment, but I just accept the facts.
PC is defiantly more powerful the consoles. But I prefer to play on my consoles. Also FPS is better with Mouse and Keyboard, but I enjoy it more with a controller.
Having a preference does not change facts. Everyone is allowed to have a preference, though some people don't think other should.
+Arrusoh everything you said is true, and I prefer my 3ds to the other hardware in my house because Nintendo games have such high quality, unlike some FPS tragedies of last year... Well opinion's are for everyone, and I like sharing mine, despite what kind of critique I may receive because of it.

This video reminds me of my crippling desire to see Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland localized for North America.

the gamecube version isn't RARE per say. its just that there are FAR MORE copies of the wii version.

Not very rare. I can go to gamestop and literally buy it for less than a buck.
Know what's funny? The Zelda CD-i games used to be cheap. I got Wand of Gamelon in shrinkwrap on EBay for $15. Then they became a meme and the prices skyrocketed.
Shame they never mentioned the fact that Zelda's Adventure is the rarest Zelda game because it was NEVER RELEASED. All the copies that exist were store demo units, it never went to retail.
And here we have more proof that Groose's theme goes with everything.
I noticed something, in Hyrule Warriors Tingle's L1 and L2 balloons are based off of his games titles, making "Love-Filled" the only official translation for the title of the 2nd game, making the would-be official title "Ripened: Tingle's Love-Filled Balloon Trip". which also mirrors the structure of Rosy Rupeeland's title much closer

I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard somewhere that Nintendo didn't release the Tingle games here because apparently Tingle isn't liked very much in the US. Apparently, that's also why he hasn't been in a main console game since Wind Waker.
Tingle is seriously LOATHED here in America. So yes our attitude towards Tingle may be the reason his games never arrived here.
+Morgil The grand consensus on Tingle here is pretty much "He's creepy and annoying." That goes for Canada, U.S. and Mexico. I personally don't mind him, in fact I'm rather indifferent, but there's a LOT of people here that despise Tingle.

Why do Console fans (piticularily on the Nintendo side) hate emulation so damn much? I see no reason to waste $100s on original copies that may not work as well.

for games that they don't make any more, I don't see the problem with emulation. If you're buying a used copy of Zelda cdi for $400, $0 of that is going to Nintendo or phillips. But if there are new copies of a game available, pirating is illegal and immoral.
with that said, I agree that "don't emulate" is just something TH-camrs say to cover their ass
Honestly even if I can never play the game, like the BS zelda games, I still don't emulate, because its technically breaking the law
For me, it's the feeling of using the original hardware. If I can get the game at a fair price, then I'll buy it. If it's rare, I would use emulation.
FanPlays Not really. Emulators themselves aren't illegal, using games that are still obtainable with emulators is though. However, no one actually cares if you emulate, no one is coming down your door and I am more than sure 99% of developers couldn't give a fuck, as long as they can't make money off the game anymore. Nintendo is the only company that even cares, and that's because they are Nintendo.

Maybe sometime you should talk about the fan games, including ROM hacks. Parallel Worlds, a romhack for LTTP, is BRUTAL. It raises the difficulty to IWBTG levels.

I remember back when this video first came out, and it was posted on the Zelda Dungeon homepage, and there was someone in the comments who complained twice that they should've just put a reminder of the game links at the top.

I enjoyed the video! Learned some new zelda facts.
I have one constructive criticism to offer. Sometimes when working with low resolution sources it's best to limit scaling to 2x or lower and border the video black bars, or some other dark image.
I only say so because when the low res junk scales full screen to 1080p it looks really bad, and accounting for this may add to the professionalism of your production.
In the end, it didn't detract from the experience. I feel a fix could add to it though

The thing about Tingle is that he's loved in Japan, somewhat liked in Europe and being tied to a cross and burned till he's crisp in America.

Zelda's Adventure...eh, whether it is good or not, not everyone knows about it, lol; I think that has to do with the lack of YTP on it.
I thought I would know all of these because I'm a trivia nut, but I only knew one Tingle game and two of the CDI games. All of the other ones were complete surprises!
These are actually the first time I have heard about some of these games. Maybe make this a running series for different franchises.

The CDI games are the best zelda games in existence I mean you can do the OP duck walk, there are sexy cut scenes and don't forget the hilarious comedy. Gameplay also is very great. Best game hands down

Fire Emblen fans also know of the Satelaview, there were a set of Fire Emblem maps downloadable for the service too. Like the Zelda ones, these were time-based and had you going for a high score. They also had tons of voice acting. (You thought Awakening was the first FE game to have full voice acting? Nope!) Fortunately the BS chapters got remade for New Mystery of the Emblem (otherwise known as the MUCH better sequel to Shadow Dragon) on DS. Sadly that game never made it out of Japan, but it has a really good fan translation.
That pun made me feel like I was being stoned.

Tingle's Rosy Rupee land was the first and only Zelda game my friend played.
Thanks to Zeldathon the only one I really didn't know about was the Tingle dating sim. That is by far the weirdest game on this list.

The second Tingle game was obviously not localized because:
A. Western culture reviles Tingle, and
B. Nobody's ever even heard of Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.
