IF YOU WATCH NL STREAM: Please tell NL on the stream that his wireless earbuds may/probably have stickers covering the charging ports on the earbuds! I was having the same problem with my earbuds for days and was looking up ways to fix it and when I went to clean the metal contact charge port, there were stickers on it (probably to protect it from dust on the shelves in the store). (Update): I tweeted him and that was the issue! He fixed it now.

The thing that changed my opinion on Guy Fieri was his Hot Ones interview. It went from "why does this douche dress that way" to "he's the closest thing our generation has to Mr. Rogers". I'm surprised he doesn't have a show that teaches kids to cook he's so much more wholesome than he looks
That first 4 minutes of pure parenting adventures was absolutely priceless
This is the kind of streamer content that us old zoomers and millennials crave. I feel like he's part of a new generation of widespread older tech users. Like how my dad could use his ham radio to coordinate natural disaster response.

I think he handled the situation well but judged the parent a little too harshly. She was clearly running to see if his daughter was okay, to grab her child off the equipment, and to apologize. My cousins are great parents and have 2 kids. The first one is almoat 4 and is an angel, so kind and sweet. The second is 2 and is a bully, always getting in trouble at day care. They weren't any less good parents to the second kid, sometimes kids are more or less trouble at that age

No he understood it, he just watched his dome lose like 70% of its HP in a battle and didn't see any healing from it
I think the devs designed themselves into a corner on the lift vs teleporter. Lift appears to be a resource gatherer that sidegrades to improve mobility. Teleporter is a mobility boost that (only) upgrades into a resource gatherer. They fill the same niche. As it stands, the teleporter is better at mobility and better at resource gathering. The lift is just kind of mediocre at both. It would be nice to see an update where they rework the upgrades to make the lift better at resource gathering and nerf the teleporter's resource gathering while buffing its mobility even further. For example, give the lift an upgrade that makes its speed scale with its length, give it the ability to branch off horizontally, give the teleporter an upgrade that lets you place multiple portals, etc.
Personally I'd remove the teleporter and rework the lift to include its functionality. Make the lift's final upgrades down the mobility tree "Press while in the lift beam to teleport home", could maybe also make the orb speed tree change from faster/stronger orbs to a slow teleport for resources at the end based on the number of orb upgrades too so it properly scales with deeper mines. For teleporting back down that would be left to just the personal teleporter from the cave.
The thing is there's *technically* a tradeoff in that teleporter takes a building slot and base doesn't, so teleporter "should" be stronger, but I just don't think that makes the concept interesting enough, I think it'd be better to roll them together.

Life is suffering. But once you realize that, you can't lose. Any shittyness is just business as usual, and any goodness is an unexpected reason to be grateful.
Growing up is learning to accept the negatives and appreciate the positives :)

I love Northernlion and Jerma for opposite reasons. Everyone on Twitch pretends that Jerma is a complete psychopath but hes really just a pretty normal guy. Everyone also pretends that NL is a normal guy but if you listen to him talk about any public interactions he has he sounds like Patrick Bateman.

With some headphones, ya gotta use the charging cable that came with it. I've got a pair of JBL's (JBL Free, I think) and they only seem to charge with the cable that they came with. I don't know why.
I got a pair of Tozo T10's the other month, and they have been fantastic. They're not the loudest, but they were cheap, USB C, and waterproof, and they stay in my ears when I sweat buckets at the gym. They also have a wireless charging case, and haven't died from the amount of sweat that they have been subjected to. So, so far so good. 🤷♂️

NL, declaring that lift is bad without ever upgrading speed is like saying teleporter is useless for resources without ever reducing telepirt cooldown.
I beg you, one single time. Invest in the lift and let it wow you. You're new wider mining technique is going to synergize.

He's too impatient. There's something about the lift that triggers him. He'll see resources sitting around a teleporter and be OK with it but if something is sitting in the lift he immediately grabs it and hauls it up.
When he said "coast to coast" and didn't follow up with "LA to Chicago", I became sad.

NL , my first two kids were super happy little girls. My 3rd is a crazy boy. Boys are just different dude, physical creatures and so much stronger. Baby boys just walking around like mini hulks breaking shit, stubborn and aggressive.

Tedious mining/economic sections that appear to get leveled to a pay off that never comes, that is only interrupted by intermittent "combat" sections, with clunky mechanics. If it was anybody but NL playing this game I would have 0 interest it seems😂

As much as I love Drillbert, a resource generator seems goated for prestige (also Perma overcharge is just amazing)
Drillbert is good for Relic Hunt because it means you can put Iron into other stats instead of mining. He falls off in prestige because he as an upper limit to his drill strength, so you're going to have to put iron into your own mining stat, and then you might as well not use Drillbert in the first place.
imo people who hate on drillbert need to learn to mine like drillbert. Horizontal tunnels with an appropriately deep hole at the end for him to fall down and mine to reveal resources that he didn't directly hit

Also, I think Cosmo Kramer's better moments is when he sprang through a door. Who knows how far he would have gone if he left it there.

Hoping this is an okay place to ask, but has anyone else had an issue in this game where the weapon sound stays on after you leave the seat and go back down into the mines? I couldn't find anything on reddit about it but it's happened on almost every run.

IDK Ryan, the mom showing urgency to discipline her kid isn't necessarily a bad thing. I mean, what you described seemed like she was at least _trying_ to be polite about it to others. Thing is, the urgency communicates nearly as much to the kid as the discipline itself.
