When we talk about being a “prostitute” at 13 years old - we are actually talking about a child who has been a victim of child sexual exploitation. We should be making this clear in our terminology. A pimp is an organised criminal who should be prosecuted and the clients jailed. Children cannot consent when they are being enforced to do something. Hoping she can find the help/support she needs to find freedom from this oppression!

Exactly. Half of the people out there don't have a clue what it's like to be exploited as a kid or teen. I don't wish I'll will on anyone. But if the shoe was on the other foot half of the people out there would get a rude awakening.

As Denzel Washington said it best, "It all starts in the home", and feminists are making it harder for men as well, there are soo many contributing factors, BUT its mainly absent FATHERS that make these types of women sadly, and its crappy mothers who think they dont need a man to raise a child without help, therefore this is the primary result of what happens to people like her. WE NEED OUR PARENTS TO RAISE US to stop this from happening. CDC had a report that majority of homeless women and stuff like that are the result of fatherless homes.

Everyone talking about the pimps and drugs but let’s talk about the childhood trauma that started all of this for her. The real root of the problem is America’s foster care system. Maybe if we started by fixing that then we can prevent more of this in the future.
Update: I’m glad that I was able to start a meaningful discussion wether or not you agree with where the “root” of the problem is. One thing I want to address is the question of how to fix the foster care system. Here’s my suggestion
    1. Lee siblings together
    2. Reduce, eliminate or demand more accountability when it comes to financial assistance to foster patents. So many children are abused in the system because the foster parents took in a child for the money and not because they genuinely want to help a child. Some foster parent get anywhere between $400- $600 per month for each child. Either reduce or eliminate that and there won’t be an incentive for people to invite children into their homes that they don’t want.
    Or
Have foster parents to present receipts and bills to account for every dime they receive on behalf of the child.
    3. Wellness checks inside the home on a monthly basis. Or require that each child in foster care see a therapist or a regular. Therapist and psychiatrist must report any abuse and it’s a great way to check the wellness of the child. If I’m not mistaken foster care children can get free medical. Not sure though.
And for those who say the bio parents are the root. I say I partially agree but have to disagree because if that were true then children adopted as babies would have the same trauma. Or every child who had divorced parents or a single parent would have the same trauma. Point is if you watch enough of these interviews you will find that foster care is the common denominator. Children who have been physically, sexually, and emotionally abused in foster care have a very high chance of being in a situation like this.
These are just some suggestions. Let’s keep the conversation going. How can we make our foster care system better?

    • @jasonnewby
      @jasonnewby 2 ปีที่แล้ว +78

Yes, you can trace nearly everyone's problems to childhood trauma, which often times childhood trauma happens because parents are suffering from mental illness and addiction (which go hand in hand), take the kids away and put them with strangers, move from place to place, never feel secure, never feel loved and then you wonder why they reach to drugs. they weren't safe with their parents, they weren't safe in the system. how can we help these kids from becoming drug addicted prostitutes?

What people in these comments don’t realize is that the interviewer is very smart with the way he asks his questions. He doesn’t “say much” or give advice because these people leave with their own answers replaying in their head. When they answer these questions out loud, and hear it out loud, it may have been the first time they said those things, and therefor it opens their eyes to reality without the interviewer giving his peace of mind at all. Sometimes all it takes for a person to flip their life around is to realize where they are at in the first place and people can tell them they are not in the right place all they want. But it takes them thinking it on their own to make change. This interview wasn’t to give the girl advice, it’s to help her look into herself further, and THAT can change a persons life.

In answer those leaves ( his loved ones) go to the wind; like this unfortunate child. She could be any of our daughters, sister; someone you love. Why is there this constant notion that someone needs an 'education' to be intelligent? Especially in today's world, it actually holds you back. You do not need a formal education if to be intelligent, you are innately insightful and articulate or you aren't. Say it with me.

My heart breaks for her and for the millions that like her walk such rough paths. It took a miracle to save me from heroin even though I had a mother who against all odds never gave up on me. 1) It’s clear that mandatory rehabilitation programs should be instituted for people in these situations. This is a health and public safety issue, and people in this situation have a definitive set of health/ mental health issues that need to be addressed.
      2) The video describes human trafficking. Plain and simple. This entire criminal subculture has massive negative repercussions for the rest of society, and the resulting criminal behavior puts the wider public at risk. Literally every day of the year there are crimes committed in major cities by individuals (in some way) affected by the subculture portrayed in the video.
      3) A first world developed society shouldn’t have these issues as a pervasive issue. Instead of the $100 billion+ in taxpayer dollars going towards corporate welfare (subsidies and tax breaks for companies that eventually mostly benefit the wealthy individuals with multimillion dollar stakes in each company), taxpayer dollars should be instead dedicated to fixing the healthcare system and preventing criminal activity.

She has a drug addiction, plus face tattoos, which will be a challenge to get a professional job. She stopped school in junior high and two kids being raised by her grandmother. She would have to want to get her GED and want to go to college and work on her addiction issues. She needs a positive mentor or person in her life, not money. She knows how to make a lot more money than most of us make in a day. She can be an exotic dancer, and make a lot of money in a day too without sleeping with anyone. She has money, but maybe is making poor choices how to spend it. She's probably addicted to the lifestyle as well so to just give her money to go to school, it won't work. She would have to want it and to want a more legal / straight path and positive mental health to rewire her brain from the abuse she's suffered. Not an easy solution.

But if you use it to buy drugs vs school or a nicer lifestyle, then money is not always a solution to a better lifestyle. Growing up with neglect, around drugs, or any type of abuse is a challenge to overcome especially for those who don't have an innate inner fight or joy. Setting up gofunds and giving people a large sum of money, imo, does not change a person to suddenly get out of a negative pattern they grew up with.

One time he goes to visit in the house is full of sex toys and lingerie no kids or kids stuff in sight and she admits she gave it all to her pimp who lives in the house with her that Mark paid for she sits there like a silent coward and doesn't even ever say she sorry... she had a very shitty life but that is absolutely no reason to screw him over like she did specially without any remorse or apology she's a hopeless waste so sorry for her kids if she even has any probably just a lie to get more money out of Mark

My mum died because of the streets and now me and my siblings have a gaping void in our lives. This young woman has so much more purpose about her - I pray she can leave all this pain and misery behind that she’s had to endure because it will be the death of her eventually. She is worth so much more than all of this. I wish her all the luck in the world and I hope to see her progress one day. Positive thoughts, prayers and love from the UK

What I can not understand is why does prostitution have to be the route? Historically, its like painting yourself in a corner or digging a hole so deep that you can’t get out of it. Once it rains you drown in that hole. She has ten finger and I assume ten toes like the rest of us. Why not go into the labor market? Pick up two Security guard job! Drive for amazon! Baby sit! Sort package for FedEx or UPS! If you going break you back working then fine but don’t give up your soul in the process. No one is coming to recuse her from the life! She is her own savior. How much therapy is she going have to go through in order to connect with an health, loving adult male. Lets not mention the kids and where they fit in this mess of a situation.

Not that I disagree she's a physically beautiful person, but I wonder if she'd get this much sympathy if she was not physically attractive. The proof is in the view counts of these interviewees on this channel. Those who are attractive get far more view counts than those who are not.

@@Neanderthal_yardy She was 'born' into that lifestyle. "Exotic" is not a lady that grew up in a middle class/upper middle class background with a normal childhood and upbringing, who one day fell in with the wrong crowd. Her mother was working the streets, and her dad was in prison. She became a product of the system since she was an infant, going from group home to group home, foster care, and even juvenile hall.
It's easy for us to judge her and her lifestyle choices, but not fair to Exotic in particular since she was basically exposed to and raised in that lifestyle practically since the day she was born.
