The casting of Sammy here reminds me of the kids in the Harry Potter franchise. She was brilliant from the word go and continued to maintain her A-game all the way through as she got older.

Sami is a doll. She was a “princess” to be sure but that was Susie’s fault. Still she grew up to be as normal as possible considering her mother was a bit “much”. Also…in spite of her looks not being the focus…she grew up to be beautiful. There are a couple of quick closeups that bear this out.
