      It’s great in my opinion. Clerks is also great in my opinion. I’ve never seen the entirety of The Foot Fist Way and as such I can’t complete the trilogy, but Rex Kwon Do has probably seen it.

    I grew up not far from where this movie was filmed and set. Absolute perfection - it so beautifully captures the early-00’s with the weird 70’s/80’s holdover thing we had going on, brings back some awesome memories. Rural Idaho, folks.

    I come from a small town in the middle of nowhere in Texas. I was a junior in highschool when this came out and me and my best friend loved Napoleon. We were the only ones in school who did at the time. This was basically our lives lol awesome days.

    For me, the best part of the movie is watching with commentary and realizing that nearly every scene is based on a true story from the director’s life, but when he was in middle school. Most of the humor is seeing high school juniors acting in 6th grade mentality. 😂

    This is freaking amazing! I had no idea this footage existed! I am from Idaho and I have family in Preston and have spent many Summers working on farms in preston. I know the town very well and Napoleon Dynamite is one of my all-time favorite movies.

    The first time I watched this was such a fever dream. I was like 9 and we were given random movies, including jackass 💀 I had mixed feelings about it and it just felt like I was watching the weirdest movie. I ended up so damn happy because it was so random and funny.
    When I first watched its always sunny in Philly I was overjoyed to see napoleons grandma be Mac’s mom

    I got my 11 year old into this movie. We’ve probably watched it 60 times over the last few years and still enjoy watching it every time. Can’t beat the soundtrack lol

      @@kittycake713 No. Gail the Snail is Mary Lynn Rajskub. She's hilarious. I don't remember the other actress's name, but she's the same girl who played Molly in Corrina Corrina. They do kinda look alike.

    I’ve seen this movie a hundred times, and to see these scenes inverted amazes me in that the actors are really just warm bodies, but the directors and editors make the magic.

      Yeah that's sort of an odd takeaway considering how we can literally see the actors putting their own spin on the scenes in real time. The direction they're getting is important, but pretty vague.

      Like many TV shows and movies, there was - and is - also a lot of improvisation done by the actors and actresses. It’s almost integral.
