Classic racing oilcooled GSXR1100 engine teardown.

  • Highly tuned oilcooled 86-88 GSXR1100 engine partial teardown, checking gearbox and overall condition.
    This engine is used in swedish and Nordic classic roadracing shampionships. We had problem with the no 2 gear
    going in and out of gear both up and down. It is a 1052cc motor with a slight overbore (special pistons) not to exceed 1100cc.
    It is a lot of special parts in this engine and lots of love and attention to details when putting it together. It was tested and tuned in the
    engine dyno this year with extremely good numbers coming out. we pulled it to 12000Rpm, we would have liked to continue up as the
    numbers was still rising but some kind of software issue with the DYNA2000 box did not let us do that. Alltough when on the track it pulls like a beast on all Rpm levels and specially over 10.000Rpm but i never hit the Rev limiter and i was seeing the Rpm indicator passing 13,000 still going.
    When checking the DYNA2000 CDI box the limiter was set on 14.000 Rpm…Ops :) Lucky me we have custom made valvesprings!
