The GSXR1100 was always my dream machine despite having owned a '98 Fireblade. Was lucky enough to ride pretty much everything from that era, including the 1100, and do still believe Suzuki should have given free hairy chests and medallions to all who bought "De Daddy 11" 😀😀

I love that your review was so thorough!!! Many "professional" productions of today can't even do 2 of these types of comparisons effectively. Thanks!

that gsxr is beautiful .I remember going to the shop and sitting on it, and getting the factory catalog .I think they should bring those graphics back. that would be sick!

    I have both of them.
Although my GSXR is a 1990.
I'm in the process of restoring it the best I can under a small budget.
I restored the CBR a few years back. "Restored" to a presentable and good working condition.
I have less than $500 into the CBR after lots of wheeling and dealing.
I'll have more into the GSXR. Not much to wheel and deal on this one.
See my video of it's condition as I brought it home.👍
    Fun to watch this.

I had to assemble what I had.
I picked up a Superhawk that needed to be tidied up.
The GSXR was a little ways away from being ready and with the parts it needs. I thought I'd ready the Honda to ride for the remainder of the season.
The Suzuki looks pretty good. All the new parts installed and polished up.
I will have to buy tires, chain and sprockets, a carb kit before she's ready.
I forgot to do a little video before it came in the house for winter storage.
The VTR came out really nice too. Nice to have a twin again.
      Thanks for asking.👍

I have one 1992 fireblade and a 1988 GSXR 1100 so this is very good info too. Thanks again

on diffrent tire it dont make any sense + on diffrent truck there be diffrent results but on most fireblade should win cos its waaaay lighter 👌🏻 gsxr maybe can match on very fast truck with not to much corners and very long straights 👌🏻 ts dont know but shot that gsxr clock like 5-10 km/h moredue to power advanatage though cbr have lower drag most likely whatever be close 👌🏻ok i found some test cycleworld in 1992 test gsxr 1100 cbr 900 rr and fzr 1000 cbr they weight on theyr scale to 432 pounds wet vs gsxr 1100 94 pound more 👌🏻👉🏻 so top speed was the same on radar gun 159 mph fpr cbr and gsxr1100 vs fzr clock highest topspeed of 164 mph on willow spring truck on the same tires each bike cbr was 1,2 sec faster on lap 👌🏻1:31:9 vs 1:33:1 sec fzr was slowest with 1:33:5 sec but on dragstrip they get diffrent results than in this video cos cbr was lil faster on 1/4 mille 🤷🏻‍♂️ 10,59 /132,7mph vs 10,9 /130,8 mph fzr clock second time 10,64 but highest trap speed 133,9mph 🤷🏻‍♂️ anyways on straights cbr 900 rrand gsxr 1100 are as close as it can be 😉👍🏻 but on most track with corners cbr shpuld be slightly faster mostly cos is lighter and fzr was fastest on straights be very small margin offcprse but still and slowest around truck 👌🏻☕️

Early 90s GSXRs were such great looking bikes and to me the standard of sportbike silhouette!
Unfortunatly 93 was the 1st year Suzuki chose funky graphics.... Both great bikes here.... Myself, in the big class the FZR1000 would have been what I'd drop my $$ on.
