Good information here. Don’t forget about preparing for your pets too, especially food. Fill clean bathtub with water and this can be used as backup drinking water for pets, to flush toilets and minor cleaning tasks. I fill both our bathtubs. Regarding your pets, it’s would be a fantastic idea to get them chipped. A chip (it’s inserted into their skin) will have important information regarding your pet. Its name, your name, address, and phone number, and any other info you feel is important for a rescuer to know. This information is vital and could shorten the amount of time that you are separated from your pet if this happens. You should be able to get this done at your veterinary clinic. It’s not expensive either.
