Good evening gentlemen. Before I mention my opinion on the Honda CR-V, I would like to say thank God both you guys, family members and friends are alive based on the unfortunate tornadoes that ripped through parts of your state in KY and few other neighboring states. I hope the death toll for the states affected doesn't exceed 100. At the moment it's at 90 with KY at 74. In general for the current generation Honda CR-V it held its ground. I think primarily due to the passenger space, cargo space and fuel economy. Unfortunately, the interior seems to be dated based on what available on the rivals, but this CR-V held strong. When the time comes for the next generation CR-V to get released I'm sure it'll be great. As for performance they need to kick the CVT transmission to the curb, increase the horsepower to an even 200, increase the screen size for the infotainment screen as well as including new functions and to make the instrument cluster screen 100% digital. The new generation Toyota Rav 4, new generation Nissan Rogue made big moves and I hope when the new generation Honda CR-V comes put bog moves will be made as well.
I’ve test driven both a gas CR-V and gas Rav4. We actually own a Rav4 so I was looking at other SUVs. I personally felt like the CR-V wasn’t for me and another thing was that the CR-V is getting a bit outdated- they should be due for a redesign soon but I might be wrong. I highly recommend you to test drive both of them because they’re so closely similar. I really enjoyed the hybrid version of the CR-V if that’s something you want to look at but I personally did not like the gas version.
toyota because is better on gas no tubros burn more gas and oil and for turbos engines you should add premium gas and plus better resell value and more reliable and eay looking suv then crv any day of the week
The gas Rav4 is extremely noise and unrefined. If your going gas get the CR-V. If your going hybrid get the Rav4. My suggestion is actually to not get either and instead look at Hyundai/KIA/Mazda.

We love our 2017 CRV…it’s been a great suv, but now we’re dealing with a battery draining issue. We’ve had 2 batteries in the last year, and they can’t seem to find what keeps drawing power☹️. Honda definitely needs a big change with this model. Looks just like the inside of my Touring CRV…lol
I have a 2018 at the honda dealership. It had a check charge system dash light come on and locked the gear shift. Got a new battery and car worked fine for 2 days then the same message returned and gear shift locked again. It has been in the dealership since nov 15th 2021. It took them a month to diagnose the problem and it was a bcm computer problem. The replacement part is on backorder and it will be after February till i get it back. Everyone wants an upgrade for the sake of an upgrade. They will mess it up like they did HR V. Less practical, less space, only 4 seats but looks good. I guess in the instagram era style over substance is what sells.
CRV is still a great vehicle in 2022, but it's heavily outdated. Keep in mind even the 2018 Accord (4 years older model than this one), has the newer Honda infotainment system, while this one is still using the old one found in the 2016 Civic. It's badly due for a redesign next year.

Surprised it's still the same this year as the CR-V has always been redesigned every five years. It's defiantly overdue for one. My top pick as of now for small crossovers would be the Mazda CX-5 even though that vehicle is getting long in the tooth as well, but is a lot more luxurious, has better tech as well as offering a powerful turbo engine.
@@DisneyMusicVideos I'm not just talking about storage space. The CR-V is much more spacious inside the cabin. It's also far more practical, which is why a lot of families choose it.
I don’t know about that Cvt transmit. Sounds like it’s stuck on one gear. I know that’s how cvt works. Not a fan. I’d rather hear and feel those fear changes.

Most of these reviews are done by fans of the company. I would avoid anything with the 1.5 Turbo you can Google the problems and lawsuits generated by the 1.5 turbo.
I would 100% go for the CR-V. People say that the engines are problematic, I’ve had two with that same engine and no problems. The EX trim is the best value trim. I would go for it. As you have a family, the Accord isn’t going to provide the space you need as time progresses, the CR-V will though. The CR-V gives you more for what you pay for compared to the Accord. I hope this comment helped you and if you purchase a CR-V or Accord I hope you enjoy your ownership.
Their crossovers are basically outdated. We should've had a new HR-V and Pilot for 2022, but instead we have to wait til 2023. The Passport got a lazy a** refresh (my gripe is the dated rear)
Looking good on the outside, but it has the 1.5 turbo oil dilution engine. I have enough nightmares on my 2017 CRV EXL and already got ripped off it. I wish Honda going back to 2.4 bullet prof engine.
I thought Honda knew better than CVT... in their flagship suv...and whats up with that 1.5T engine.. Other than that cargo space..😅😅 for cargo space lovers.. great car
My big complaint with the CRV and why I always hate it is the fact that they put the gear shifter forward-facing instead of placing it in between the two front seats like every other car manufacturer does. It looks like it's awkwardly sticking out and it's not as natural as when car manufacturers place it lower down. For this reason, I've never cared for cars like the CRV that has this design feature.
The only thing that i dont like CrV is its hondalink to some trim levels, it is useless. App is there but it is for setting up appointment. Like what for?
I NEVER liked the styling of the CR-V. My Step-Mother has one (brown of all colors) and I don't like driving it.. It looks like a shrunken minivan!... The car does fits her personality...She is a Grandmother, by the way...Which brings me my point. I need a vehicle that is polarizing in style and have a youthful pizzazz. My choice will be either the new Tuscon or the upcoming new Kia Sportage. If Honda can redesign a better looking CR‐V that don't offer a CVT and a have a panoramic sunroof, then I MIGHT consider exploring getting one.
There's no changes with the 2022 because the stock that wasn't sold was just rebranded and tagged 2022 from 2021..what a ripoff ,it's best to get 2021 if they have a bit cheaper
There were unsold CR-V’s? That’s kind of hard to believe when dealers of all kinds have been short on cars during the pandemic. Must cars are rare and have the huge markups. Where are you getting your information. The year of a new car is stamped all over like the stickers on the inside of the B Pillar, then you have the VIN number that indicates the year as well as the owners manuals.
The issue with this car is its turbocharged engine. Honda has had big problems with turbochargers leaking gas into the oil and diluting it which over time leads to shortened engine life and a new turbo. They tried to mitigate the problem by changing the timing in the computer module but it is a band-aid not a fix. I have had my old 2004 CRV and it never lets me down. My wife begged me for this 2022 CRV but I am not looking for a mtce. headache so I decided not to buy.
It’s still infinitely better than the RAV4. All the RAV4 has going for it is the overpriced PHEV no one’s gonna buy and maybe the hybrid. The crv drives better, it’s actually faster than the regular RAV4, it’s quieter, handles better, rides better, more space, more cargo room, a nicer interior, better build quality, better materials, better fit and finish. And the hybrid has a mechanical AWD vs e AWD in the RAV4. actually literally other hybrids in this segment have mechanical AWD
@@naveenthemachine You’re absolutely correct. I own a 2021 CR-V EX-L and it’s absolutely awesome. The infotainment screen isn’t bad if you connect AppleCarPlay, even without it connected it still gets the job done. @@DisneyMusicVideos I'm not just talking about storage space. The CR-V is much more spacious inside the cabin. It's also far more practical, which is why a lot of families choose it.
The 2023 crv will be fully redesigned.
How much does???
I don’t know about that Cvt transmit. Sounds like it’s stuck on one gear. I know that’s how cvt works. Not a fan. I’d rather hear and feel those fear changes.
I’ve family of 3 (16 month old baby)
I’m confused as to buy the accord or crv
Accord is nice but lacks features compared to the crv ex trim
Im not sure if I should buy the crv since it’s going to receive a facelift or make over next year
Can you please help me with the decision
@@barbz_zayne yes that’s what I did. I went ahead with CR V EX
Thank you
@@jeffmacey6482 My CRVs have never had trouble, so I’m going with it.
With it being the last of it's generation, does that mean we can expect a brand new look for 2023?
Yes
Time for huge update. Honda is slacking!!
Their crossovers are basically outdated. We should've had a new HR-V and Pilot for 2022, but instead we have to wait til 2023. The Passport got a lazy a** refresh (my gripe is the dated rear)
I agree. So is Toyota
Crv is due for a redesign for 2023
How is it “Slacking” can you be more descriptive?
If something’s good don’t fix it.
Looking good on the outside, but it has the 1.5 turbo oil dilution engine. I have enough nightmares on my 2017 CRV EXL and already got ripped off it. I wish Honda going back to 2.4 bullet prof engine.
Mine is an 18 LX with the 2.4. That’s why I bought it.
The 2020 model year fixed that problem
How much are people actually purchasing this car for?
might wait for the CX50 or 2023 CRV
I love the interior and exterior but the drive train is the deal breaker. I won't buy any vehicle with a turbo or CVT.
Why’s that?
2022 CRV no gear shift but buttons instead
I thought Honda knew better than CVT... in their flagship suv...and whats up with that 1.5T engine..
Other than that cargo space..😅😅 for cargo space lovers.. great car
I have the 2019 crv
I love my 2018 EXL, however my only complaint is that there is NO LIGHT in the glove box! My previous 2006 CRV had a light in the glove box.
Nasty cost cutting they're making these days. Unbelievable.
OMG same! That’s one of my 3 complaints about my CR-V.
Auto fanboy?
@@nicgur_6981 Manual Fanboy? Endlessly shifting into oblivion
Love it
The only thing that i dont like CrV is its hondalink to some trim levels, it is useless. App is there but it is for setting up appointment. Like what for?
I have a 2021 crv and the 2022 seems the exact same car nothing looks to be different .
So if they can break in my car, they can drive it?
Nice car
I NEVER liked the styling of the CR-V. My Step-Mother has one (brown of all colors) and I don't like driving it.. It looks like a shrunken minivan!... The car does fits her personality...She is a Grandmother, by the way...Which brings me my point. I need a vehicle that is polarizing in style and have a youthful pizzazz. My choice will be either the new Tuscon or the upcoming new Kia Sportage. If Honda can redesign a better looking CR‐V that don't offer a CVT and a have a panoramic sunroof, then I MIGHT consider exploring getting one.
Tucson is the way to go
You gotta realize CVTs are great for gas mileage and smoother ride.
@@TheNegrodamus89 no.
I have the Honda CRV 2014
2010
There's no changes with the 2022 because the stock that wasn't sold was just rebranded and tagged 2022 from 2021..what a ripoff ,it's best to get 2021 if they have a bit cheaper
Good idea
There were unsold CR-V’s? That’s kind of hard to believe when dealers of all kinds have been short on cars during the pandemic. Must cars are rare and have the huge markups. Where are you getting your information. The year of a new car is stamped all over like the stickers on the inside of the B Pillar, then you have the VIN number that indicates the year as well as the owners manuals.
Unless you wanted an SE trim. The SE trim is added for 2022. And the Touring model has standard AWD this year.
I love it ❤️️❤️️❤️️
Really like the car but concerned about oil dilution.
That problem was fixed for 2020/2021/2022
0:28 ❤❤❤❤❤
The issue with this car is its turbocharged engine. Honda has had big problems with turbochargers leaking gas into the oil and diluting it which over time leads to shortened engine life and a new turbo. They tried to mitigate the problem by changing the timing in the computer module but it is a band-aid not a fix. I have had my old 2004 CRV and it never lets me down. My wife begged me for this 2022 CRV but I am not looking for a mtce. headache so I decided not to buy.
No ventilated seats
Weak engine, CVT transmission, ugly design, ancient infotainment screen with gigantic bezels, ancient speedometer screen = Massive sales.
@@naveenthemachine and the Tiguan in better than both RAV4 and CR-V
@@eduardoforneck3335 even the new outlander w the 3rd row beats the rav4
@@naveenthemachine You’re absolutely correct. I own a 2021 CR-V EX-L and it’s absolutely awesome. The infotainment screen isn’t bad if you connect AppleCarPlay, even without it connected it still gets the job done. Handling is absolutely awesome, it’s not slow by any means (I have raced a Forester and RAV4 before, it beat both of them), and the gauge cluster screen… I don’t even know what he’s talking about. It’s still very fast to react and has good graphics and has all of the information you would expect. I love my CR-V and the only other car I would ever own is a Mustang.
@@barbz_zayne any issues with oil dilution? That is something that concerns me.
According to google, # 1 selling mid size SUV is Toyota RAV4
The RAV4 is the best selling by far followed by the CRV.. All the rest lag Way behind in reliability and resale value as well .. The others will always try to play catch up..

Challenge: make a generic looking car.
Honda: hold my cerveza
I don't like that shifter placement.
they really need to update the exterior bc it's giving 45 year old soccer mom
