  • Here we will show you how we change the hydraulic oil on most model Case Ingersoll garden tractors, with and without filters for the Hydrive system. Also the process is the same for Ingersoll made Massey Ferguson 200 and 300 GTX series garden tractors.Please follow us on Facebook at Case Ingersoll Tractors northeast.
    *PLEASE CHECK OUT THE TOOLS, PRODUCTS, ETC USED IN OUR VIDEO*
    FLEX FUNNEL- amzn.to/3H2L1B5
    We highly recommend Sheaffers oil products.
    Scheaffers 20-50 racing oil- amzn.to/3QCUH8A
    Scheaffers 5-40 Diesel Oil - amzn.to/3XmnOPW
    Scheaffers 15-40 Diesel oil - amzn.to/3GzaXmu
    Scheaffers 15-40 Racing Oil - amzn.to/3IV7Yr8
    If Scheaffers is not in the budget then we suggest using only Shell Rotella Diesel oil 15-40 or 5-40 as alternatives. In the hydraulic and engine systems of Case Ingersoll machines.

    Thanks for the video. Needed to watch the process. Only thing I would do is pull the spark plug and reconnect it to the plug wire and ground out the spark plug. This will allow the spark to be generated freely through the spark plug and not cause the system to arc somewhere internally which can possibly cause spark issues down the road or immediately. Thanks for the share.

      Thanks for watching and taking time to comment. We do ground the plug when we do it here. But with You Tube some times we do things different or ad or remove to what our "normal" shop process is. The spark plug removal is one. As many watchers have never worked on or limited experiences working on things and we felt do to the possibility of someone not doing it correctly, holding, getting shocked, possible fire/fuel ignition etc we left it simple and did not include that. Though Your point is valid as damage "can" happen (also have done it many times over the years for other reasons with no issue) and as you stated would be the correct by the book method, we did not feel it was any more likely damage happening in our experiences than a incident in today's world of someone getting a shock, fire risk etc lol if you know what we mean. Thanks again for watching and your informative comment now others can read and choose to do so if they want.

    Amazing video!
    I added too much oil in my 1981 case 446 last time. Should have drained it. Then I had overheating issue. While mowing. Even oil came out of the hyd. Cap. And maybe from the tank inlet. Thought it was engine overheating and found mouse nest in air filter. Changed that. Then Tried again. Overheated again monitoring with IR gun. And oil leaked from hyd. Hose again. I see thread saying there’s a metal sleeve to put in the plastic tanks to have them not bend and leak from heat. Now looking into why overheating. Cleaned rad fins. Didn’t seem to help. Now going to see about air getting in. Etc.
    Thing is I did just remove hydraulic pump, and replaced the love joy. It was worn down to nothing. Wondering if hyd. Pump is bad, but has worked for months now, many hours of use. I’m also worried pump maybe damaged from running low on fluid before I noticed I think once.
    Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

    Can't get mine start once I replaced the fuel filter.
    Do I needed to bleed the air out of the fuel line?
    Do you know how to bleeding the air out of the fuel line.? Please advise if you do know. Appreciated. Thanks

      Hi Need more info, what tractor, what engine, what style pump. No 99 percent of the time you do not need to bleed them. But it may help to fill the lines and prime but very rare you need to. Are your clamps very tight? Is the fuel filter installed in the correct direction? Did you do anything else?

    Great video. But I remove the spark plugs its easier on the starter and battery. The other thing disconnect the power to the coil or ground out the spark plug wires on the Onan's. Some on the CCI site have wrecked the onan coils by not doing this. Not hard to do and better safe than sorry ;-)

    • @caseingersolltractorsnortheast
      @caseingersolltractorsnortheast  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Most times plugs are out when we do it as it's being done as part of our full service at the time. But thanks for pointing that out we should have mentioned that and the coil. Hard to remember it all and this video making is new to us still lol. But thanks again for watching and the comments!

    Hi, I’m changing the oil in my case 222. What SAE oil do you recommend for colder weather. Thanks!

    • @caseingersolltractorsnortheast
      @caseingersolltractorsnortheast  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi define "colder"? We have a video on oil flow in cold weather you might want to checkout. The key to the answer is what is the normal average temp you will be actually starting it on average, not the coldest you get a few times in the winter or temp at 2 am unless thats when starting. But average "starting" temp.20-50 is good until 10 or 15F, 15 40 down to 5F or so 5-40 down to -20ishF

    You said these don't use hydraulic oil they use motor oil. I have a Case 222. I am doing a engine swap to and I'm draining the fluid from the hydraulic system. What should I use to refill it?

    • @caseingersolltractorsnortheast
      @caseingersolltractorsnortheast  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes they use diesel engine oil or racing oil. All the recommendations were in the video. But 15 40, 20 50, 5 40 are common weights. There are links to the oils we use in this videos description

    I ended up here because I thought I might I have a hydraulic problem. I have a 4016 with about 550 hours on it. Pin# 14190594. I have a really hard time "feathering it" to get it to start moving. Seems like its either on or off I bought it second hand so I don't know how it was supposed to work when new but the way it is doesn't really seem correct. Can you point me in the correct direction?

    I've been a Mechanic for over 40 years and that is probably the messiest oil change I've ever seen!

    • @caseingersolltractorsnortheast
      @caseingersolltractorsnortheast  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well then I guess in 40 years you must not have seen or do much then lol. Because I have seen far far more messy from working on small equipment, farm and heavy equipment and trucks and semis and if this bothered you enough to take the time to try and make a negative comment then I really can not even try to value the statement lol. Not sure if I was supposed to be insulted, impressed or what lol But I am none of it? Because I did not design the set up, nor put the homemade bracket on the machine that made it more difficult to do so this change. The bothersome issue you are having really has nothing to do with us doing the change, might want to contact engineering department or the 70 plus year old guy who welded the generator mount on maybe they would value your opinion more than I ... But doubt it...lol . I would critique your videos to help your TH-cam hits as you are helping mineby leaving the comment and would return the favor.. But with your whopping 2 minuets of total footage and "40 years of being a mechanic" I'll just have to let that speak for itself lol... But thanks for the comment and watching! man!
