    Greetings from Portugal!
    Let me tell you a little secret!
    I am professional and I use them as primary and secondary machines! And, to be honest, they do the job!
    Just like you said, don't have the "finesse" like Rupes or Flex, but you can get the same results with a fraction of the price. If brakes down, buy another one.
    My machines were imported from in2detailing and they where very helpful. They actually send me some sweets with the order, which is a nice touch!
    Excelente review, again, and my invitation to visit my garage in Portugal is still on!
    Well done! Vitor Ferreira

    Great Vid very useful things to know! What compound were you using on this one was it the middle grade one? And what sort of paintwork would warrant using the deepest cut compound? My cars a 04 and has quite bad swirls and marks on one side! Am I right in thinking I can do all the cutting with the purple pad, and polish with the yellow?

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used F6 (f5) in this video. any paintwork you can use high cut really.. but on soft you will find its so easy to remove scratches a mid range product can be the best bet.

    Ended up here after watching both your pad videos again. In the comments you mentioned to check this video for the Flex Pads vs Scholl.
    Im looking for more of the 3 inch Scholl NEO Honey pads but can’t find them. Is the Flex Orange more similar to the Scholl Orange or the Honey Foam?
    I’m guessing as the purple seems to be the same then it’ll be the same as the orange.
    Scholl don’t answer emails in regards to whether the 3 inch honey pads were discontinued.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont know for sure but I don't think they are the same. The purples are the same. I don't want the cuts though

    • @Justin-ny6un
      @Justin-ny6un 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ForensicDetailing How do the Flex Orange feel hardness wise in comparison to Scholl Orange or Honey. The Scholl Orange feels softer than Honey to me and I prefer the Honey. So the Flex Orange would be ideal if they are like the Honey firmness.
      The Honey 3 inch which I have don’t have the cuts, can’t think why’d they’d be discontinued though (if they are). As there’s now no alternative in the line up. So it annoyingly breaks the “system”. I got them around 2016 and haven’t been detailing since then. Just got back into it.
      They don’t make the 1-2inch pads either in this foam just the navy/purple/orange, weird.
      Thanks for all the great content anyway been watching everything from the last 4 years over the last few months 👍

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ive not tried SPTA or the CC one. This one is different to the SPTA or maxshine one and its unique at the moment to in2detailing. the 600w is perfect rememeber its a 3 inch pad so it doesnt need the 1000 w moter the pad foot print is much smaller so there is less load and friction etc...

    Hi, mate watched your videos for many years and learned a lot, What's vibration like on these DA polishers, I find when I use da polishers I get left with tingling feeling because of vibration, That's why I prefer to use rotory polishers at lower speeds and a lot smoother

    • @ForensicDetailing

      more vibration than the premium tools. one of your comparmiases for a cheaper tool from china is noise and vibration. for most theres not much in it but if your sensitive to this and its a problem I think rupes or flex will be the way forward.

      hey there I think its chaos at the moment trying to maintain stock with covid and the worldwide effect on shipping. The DA8 is the best starter polisher really for your requirements. The only thing is is you wont be swapping the plate around much. so you could just get the da15 instead and then if you really get the detailing bug you can get the DA12 later. the DA15 has better grip and trigger and is nicer to hold and will cut a bit faster as well. But if you are sure you want an 8mil DA like the DA8 you can get the DAS6 pro fro clean your car if you dont want to wait for DA8 restock.
      You should check out my Detailing Fundamentals training course with discount code applied it will help you get started with all this.

      yer its fine but you cant put a small plate on it. but get the DA15 and if you want later on you can get the da12 (3 inch mini) to team up with it. Most that start with the DA8 onbly use 5 inch pads anyway as it gets expensive buying like 3 inch pads as well. go for it.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      this is a great question its hard to answer because budget plays a role some guys will buy "the lot" and the best even when they start but here it goes
      a) 95% of people should just buy a normal DA like the DA8. this supports 5 inch and 3 inch plate job done. polish the car once a year swap plate as required or just make do with 5 inch plate. (normal people :) )
      b) if polishing 1 car a month or more get a DA15 and DA12 (3inch mini). It will just make polishing bumpers and pilers easier etc.
      c) If you get the full on detailing bug and lot it and want to go elite mode add a nano polish to the arsenal. PXE80 or Rupes nano or carbon collective one etc...
      I love the combo of XCE cordless and PXE cordless. The PXE cordless supports 3 inch and 1 inch so you get the full range with 2 machines.. but yes the PXE lacks a lot of grunt compared to a proper 3 inch polishing like the DA12.
      hope this helps theres no right or wrong just options and budget etc...

      @@ForensicDetailing thank you so much for taking the time to respond, and in great detail which is exactly what I was after. I currently run an Auto Finesse 5 inch polisher, and the detailing bug has hit massively however can’t commit to a Rupes for now so have been looking at adding a 3 inch to the group for trims/intricate areas a 5 inch can’t reach. Been looking at the in2detailing, shinemaster, SPTA among others then torn as the Rupes 3 inch is not far off that price wise, an additional £100. Lots to think about. Thank you again.

      you wont remove deep scratches from glass mate. Any DA will generally be fine mate it just depends on budget, you go rupes and flex if you have more money or these if your on a budget.
