As far as I understand, this is a Finnish knife. There is a guard. In Russia, it was simply called Finca and was used by military intelligence officers. It is called the Knife of the Army Scout - 1942
Looks like the cross guard is backwards maybe. Could just be me but its beautiful work

Great video, like always. What piqued my interest was at the end when you propped the knife up on Cholla 'bones'. Are you based out of AZ? People reading this are now thinking WTF. What bones? The wood with the holes is from a Cholla cactus.
And some of us know the other name for Cholla cactus!

Bad delam on the side of that blade.
You could fill in the holes perceptible on the metal piece… 😉 they are ways to do it simple.

I have two world war II knives that are completely worn out and rusty, they're very old and messed up but I believe they can be restored. I'm only 17 so I cannot pay for it but it would be amazing content for your channel, if your interested let me know and I can figure out a way to get them to you.

My son fell asleep in our "Office" , l got off the computer , (paying bills), and l was sitting across from him , so the laptop, wouldn't wake him and turned the light off, so he could sleep better. My wife walks by , comes back , wants to see what l am watching , in the dark with the sound off... she grabs the laptop... says , nice try , goes thru my history, finds . Mother's day gifts and get aways ,
... some furniture restoration stuff and workshop layout ,design posts... hey would love to see your workshop in a post. My son wakes up , and says why didn't you wake me , we always watch this guy together. As she goes back to where we left off my son said ... Daddy the sandblaster
