Welcome back to another LW! This time we back into the marching world as DCI finals are happening right now + I'm going to PASIC this year and am excited to see different styles of percussion in action! I'm looking forward to going through more LW submissions quickly over the next few weeks 😁

As someone whose been watching your videos since I was in early high school just learning how to hold 4 mallets, it’s kinda surreal seeing an ensemble I was apart of in one of these video. Definitely a full circle moment!

I'd like to see a collab with you and the Aged Out Reacts guys. You've got more mallet expertise, and they've got more battery expertise, so it might be cool to see what details the three of you can pick out.

WGIs are always a blast to watch, definitely up there to parallel DCIs. The skill and dedication of both sets of performers is amazing and they always have a way of entertaining. My friend is trying to convince me to try for some WGIs while I’m already I beginning the grind for DCIs. As tedious as it may be, it definitely looks worth it.

RCC stands for Riverside Community College in Riverside, California, around 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
Location of my home show (or, at least as close to San Diego as tour went) when I was in 84 Blue Devils.

I love your videos! I used to watch all your videos through the night when I couldn’t sleep, and you definitely helped me as a percussionist, and as a teacher! Keep up the good work!

Hey Adam! When your in town for PASIC you should see if any of the groups are holding a camp esk type thing. They're usually a 1-Day thing and I'm not sure if any are doing any during PASIC, however I think it would be interesting to see your thoughts on their teaching processes too! I recently became an instructor at a high school and wonder about how I should teach the kids as I'm pretty weak on my mallet skills.

Actually I don't think that was thumb octave grip with Stevens in the Pulse Video, I think that was traditional grip

I think to this day North Coast Academy is the reason a lot of these cymbal lines are the way they are now. I had never splits like that until NCA did it in 2010.

Yes, they really gave cymbals a place in the show, visually and musically!

2010 was an INCREDIBLE year for WGI. Check out Rhythm X 2010 if you get a second

With all these dci/wgi videos you're watching, you really need to take time to make the trip out to finals for either in person. DCI'S finals are happening now, WGI's happen at the end of April.
