ATTENTION F ZERO FANS! If you own a switch with Nintendo online, they just released a free multi-player version of this game!!! Finally after all these years!!!!
It’s no replacement but hopefully we can convince Nintendo to port something or whatever. The entire reason they haven’t made a new F-ZERO game (excluding 99) is because they think it won’t sell well. Let’s prove them wrong
@Sin526 and for good reason, i havent been able to stop playing this game! i really hope this can bring light for Fzero with a new mainline game for veterans lovers and new!
My ranking is, from most to leat preferred: Death Wind Port Town Big Blue White Land Red Canyon Silence Fire Field Mute City Sand Ocean These are not the ones I like the most just the ones I'd rather play on
This track gives me the same feeling as the feeling when me and my family had our very long 500 mile car trips to our favourite holiday destination in the middle of the night back in the 90s during the summers; that special feeling when it is dark outside and you check out the surroundings a bit, and take naps every now and then.
We may be from different countries, different race, different location, different religions, different gender, etc. but this is one of those universal experiences we shared. I too miss those 90s summer nights and napping while my parents drove on the highway to our destination.
it's fine until you get near the end of the lap, the constant curves don't even seem bad but you make one mistake, hit a wall and you get pinballed to death.
man this song is incredible, even more so when you stop and realize how simple it really is. nothing overly complicated like most of the newer video game themes.
I loved the SNES so much. This is one of the first games I ever rented for the system and I was amazed by it. It may not look like much now but the graphics in this game amazed us at that point. What a time to be a kid.
Listening to this in the evening when the horizon is still orange from the setting sun fills me a sort of nostalgia and longing I can't fully put into words
the intro to this scared me as a kid.. knowing that it was also a hard level.. the fear of exploding scared me even more as a result. love how timeless this track is.. scary, motivating and uplifting. respect that bass line 🤘
I'd love to hear someone like Charles Cornell dig into this one. It's a very short little track, but there seems to be some fun stuff going on in both the harmony and melody. It's strangely compelling to listen to.
Man o’ man…..this game and this particular piece of music reminds me of when I was 16 dating my first girlfriend and when she would go to dance; I would play this game at her parents while I waited for her to come back and that’s when the real fun started. Good times all around. Long live the 90’s.
My first 5 games for Super Nintendo were bought in order. Super Mario world. Final Fight F-zero R-Type Castlevania 4. The best time of my life bottled up in my memory are the scores from F-Zero and Castlevania 4
I love this level and the music, so glad they add this is in Smash Bros. Ultimate for F-Zero GX's Port Town stage because... well it's Port Town even the F-Zero stage with just Mute City but still awesome soundtrack I can listen to this everyday. Now we finally got F-Zero 99, I love it but kept loosing so much, instead play the original game on the SNES online... actually I already have a copy of the cartridge and still play it.

this is really hard to achieve. i mean this soundtrack is done by a master. the background lead is so hard to explain, but it fits perfectly. im doing music by mysel, but i could never do something like this. its very complex.
Port Town II is the bane of my existence. Sure, Fire Field is hard, but I personally never had so much trouble with the other racers as with Port Town.

This is so much better than the port town theme in F zero GX It sounds both mysterious and heroic Not to mention the magnet gimmick was really cool and should've been in GX
You know, as far as gameplay goes, F-Zero is a solid game, but it's without a doubt the music that made it unforgettable.
UNFORGETTABLE, with capital letters, man!!
About to play this on my Switch for old times sake...I MISS this AND the GameCube one.
I love those melancholic backgrounds of silence and porttown like you wouldnt believe.
Absolutely!
Almost all snes games suffer from that fact!
Fun fact: Port Town is Captain Falcon's home town

Port Town II: Golden Fox mains worst nightmare
I believe it! It's rough!

Its why i never get to Red Canyon II
Fire Field and Fire Field MIRROR: Am I a Joke to YOU!
Hard agree, this stage is a nightmare with Golden Fox. It's frail little ass crumbles to pieces after the 2nd Lap. Harder than Fire Field IMO.

man this song is incredible, even more so when you stop and realize how simple it really is. nothing overly complicated like most of the newer video game themes.

It's not an simple arrangement, tho. Most games today have way more simple arrangements than this piece of art.
