Feinberg's 4th Sonata Rendition was approved by the great Alexander Nikolayevich himself. We can only imagine this as what Scriabin potentially envisioned in the work

That would explain why I find this the best interpretation I've ever heard! He especially makes more sense out of the second section than any other: more melodic and rhythmic clarity, all while maintaining incredible velocity!

I've loved this performance for a long while. Feinberg was an amazing genius. Listen to his recording of the Scriabin mazurkas, too!

If I were making a playlist of my favorite best late-romantic style pieces ever, I would definitely include this as well as Lyatoshynsky Symphony 1 and Roslavets Viola sonata 1.

Beautiful playing, and even if I am an adorator of Feinberg in Bach, he has much too much goodness in his soul to be able to play this beautiful wrongheaded toxic agressive crazy music.
Sofronitzky is the right man for this task. And from far.
He is the perfect russian mad.
