I have come to a conclusion that this sonata is really unplayable without major textural rewrites. Not enough upper voices the way it is written, and even Emil, with all of this technique, can't bring them out. Feinberg comes close. And Ivo solves the problem by playing it at half-tempo, but this is not really solving the problem . . .
