I have the 43x, but I’m switching to the 26. I’m going 10 round mag, with a backup 17 round mag. The compatibility with regular mags is what sold me. I just don’t trust the aftermarket mags with life or death situations.
Nice
This is what I did. Exactly what I did. Great choice
I run my 26 with the 10 rd mag. Pinky under the mag doesn't bother me. The very short grip of the 26 is its great advantage. I have a G19 and G43. I have had a G17 and 34 as well. I can shoot the 26 about as well or badly as I shoot the G19 and it has a 1" shorter grip. The 43 is more difficult to shoot as accurately for me at 10 yards+. If I could have only one Glock it would be the 26 as I find it the most versatile
I agree
Same here. I have 43X and 48 MOS but they don't conceal as good as my G27 with flush magazine. I carry G22 15 round mag for spare.
Most people hate the way the 10 round flush feels. Many find it doesn't actually make a difference in their shooting though. I primarily carry it with a Glock 12 round mag.
I feel the same way. I just seem to shoot better with the 26 for no ryme or reason.
Yes, for pocket carry like I do, the short 10 round mag is crucial on the 26.
Big fan of both. Can’t go wrong with either option. I’ll always go 26 to accompany my 19
yep
Lmao the chick breastfeeding 😂... im next 😂
@@jimmyjammer3660 😛😁
Own both. Carry the 43x now with the PSA 15 round mag. The pinky thing does bother me I don’t shoot a 26 as well unless I extend the mag to 12 rounds. At that point the grip is about the same. I shoot the 19 better than both but the 43x is so close it’s barely noticeable. Definitely my favorite carry Glock right now.
Finally someone with common sense. It's super obvious.
@@reiniergarcia Exactly to both posts. Thank you for getting it 🫡
I thought I wanted a 43x MOS until I got my hands on a G26, mind you I never considered ever getting one. I always thought the 26 would have been more aesthetically pleasing if it had a rail even though I more than likely would NOT have added a light to it, I just thought it would look better. Anyway, I finally decided to get something smaller than my G19 for concealed carry. I shot a friends 43x, his Sig 365 and rented a G26 at my range/gun shop and to my surprise.. I totally favored the G26. It was like I had an aha moment too, people talk about the 26 is too heavy and get the 43x and sig 365 then add a red/green dot, a weapon mounted light, and 15 round magazines for the 43x thereby making both guns heavier and the only thing I did to my G26 is and Pearce grip extensions and changed the sights to OEM Glock steel 65mm rear. I don’t need all the extras on all my guns, my G19 has them and I’ve come to prefer my 26. Again, I like them all, but my 26 serves its purpose to my complete satisfaction.
Nice... Yep, you never know what you like until you put it in your hand and run ammo thru it
Glock 26 any day!
The 26 is thicker, but has much more controll. I added the longer glock mags with the X-Grip module. This is an amazing upgrade for the Gkock 26. I have the Gkock 26 Gen 4. In addition I use Talon rubber style grips.
Nice
26 feels like a thick brick.43x all the way
26 with a Strike Industries +2 base plate is the chefs kiss
For EDC, yep
The width and slimmer profile of the 43 feels so much more comfortable IWB than the blockier, and heavier 26. I've carried both but I do prefer the 43x as a day in day out concealed carry.
I own both I like each for different reasons. This is probably the toughest match up. I honestly can't decide 😂 I was literally thinking about this the other day.
😁
Until i actually shot the g26, i never even considered it. I was amazed that i was getting g19 accuracy, and the pinkie underneath the mag was actually really comfortable.
It shoots very well, yep some say they can shoot well with the ole pinky dangle lol.. with longer fingers and larger hands, the dangle presents a challenge at further distances
I carry the G26 with the flush 10rd mag because that's what allows it to fit in my pocket and I shoot it just as well as my G19. I also pocket carry the G43. Both are decent choices, but if I could only have one it would be the G26 mainly because it'll use any of the double stack 9mm glock mags including the 30+ rd mags and the recoil of the G26 is a lot less than the G43 or the Sig P365. The main reason is the wider grip on the G26 distributes the recoil force over a wider area onto your hand. Narrower guns always recoil more because the force is going into a more narrow strip in your hand.
Thats actually not the reason. A lighter slide has a sharper recoil pulse due to less weight. More slide weight = less recoil.....You can lessen the perceived recoil by using any ammo less than 100 grains. You just have to research the ammo choices
@@PipeWagonTV The slide weight is one factor, but the grip width in another factor. You can more easily tell in a revolver when you try thinner grips vs wider grips.
@@Prepare2Survive correct, the main reason is slide weight and the 2nd would be grip. A hogue grip would solve that issue. Nothing can be done about slide weight except ammo choices
Get the SLR Rifleworks mag extension for the 26. It adds 5 rounds to your stock 26 magazine, but it will be shorter than a 19 magazine. That's the shortest setup for a Glock 26 with 15rds. The springs in the 26 and 19 magazines are the same so a baseplate swap on the 26 magazine doesn't need a new spring. All my 26 magazines either have SLR or Milspin extensions on them, and I'll always use those or just like you do, a 19 mag with an x-grip sleeve.
To my knowledge there are no G26s that come from the factory with rails. Recover Tactical makes a decent and affordable aftermarket rail, but it causes your accessories to hang a bit low, since the rail sits below the barrel shroud rather than being integrated into it.
Friend, in order to use the metal, 15 round magazines (!5 round) you need to change the magazine release to a metal or alunium as the Glock polymer magazine release will get chewed up. You must be careful, as I have had a few mis-feeds with the 15 round mags. Especially with some Hollow Point rounds-I hope this clarifies things a bit-Take vare-Shawn.
Here in California, my choice is. Gen 3 Glock 26 or nothing. The Glock 43 is not approved for sale in California to the general public.
Oh wow
The point of the 26 is the small grip so it doesn’t print. That’s the negative w the 43x. You putting that extra grip on the 26 defeats the purpose of it.
Also Glock makes a 12 round mag for the 26 and it’s still not as long as the 43x.
That G43x MOS something serious!! just traded out my Taurus GX4XL for it cause that Taurus was jamming and having feed issues didn’t even feel the need to send it back . Glad I went with the reliable Glock 43x I shot 150-200 rounds first day with not one issue. My GX4XL had about 10 feed issues first day I shot it that’s cause I tried 2 different brands of ammo too .
Really, wow... Some GX4s work great and others not so great. Cant go wrong with a 43
The 26 is more versatile it can fit many of the glock magazines, it's a beast.
Def one of the more fav glocks people like

Good discussion. I own a G26 and, for me, I don't see the need for a 43X.
For all of us, there is no need for a block26.
I have them both 😂
😅
@@reiniergarciathere was a time I thought the same thing and then I got one in my hands and shot it, it went from my least desired Glock to my favorite Glock. Go figure 🤷🏻♂️
@@reiniergarciaHave you ever shot one? Even without the pinky it is way easier to shoot than the 43X.
Good comparison. IMO - a G26 with an extended mag might as well just be a G19. There's only a four ounce difference between a fully loaded G26 vs a fully loaded G19. Factor in the added weight of an extended mag on the 26, and you're probably at a three ounce difference. At that point, might as well just buy the 19 (granted, the 26 could always be carried with a standard mag for added concealment, unlike the 19).
For me, the thickness and weight contribute as much to comfort as the overall dimensions of the firearm. While a fully loaded G43x only weighs three ounces less than a fully loaded G26, the thinner profile of the 43 makes a huge difference in comfort (a benefit you don't get by going from a 19 to a 26).
I've owned a G26 for about 20 years and I haven't carried it in 15+ years. I'd rather carry my 43 or my 19 if I want something bigger. For whatever reason, the short/fat composition of the 26 just feels awkward compared to the 43X or the 19.
If I were going to make an argument for the 26 over the 43x, it would boil down to one thing: the 26 can accept larger factory Glock mags including the 33 rounders. If that's a priority - the 26 is the clear winner - but I prefer the 19 if I want more capacity. I won't use Shield Arms mags in the 43x - the risk of using non-factory parts isn't worth the additional five rounds, IMO.
I own both and I love them both. Although for me, I noticed that the 26 seems slightly more too heavy compared to my 43X MOS.
Yep, but I must say my 26 shoots way better after the recoil hack.. check that vid out if you havent already
@marlVillalon even with the 9 rnd mag?
I am in the same boat and agree with the weight observation. If I had a scale well then we would know. The 43x with the 15 round when losded is due to the additional ammo.
The biggest advantage of the 26 over the 43x is being able to carry full size backup magazines. The 19x is my daily carry but I carry my 26 when I need deeper cover. I carry the 10rd magazines with a Pearce grip for my pinky. I can consistently hit an 11”x11” steel target at 100yds and have hit it as far away as 180yds with the 26. I bought a 43x for my wife. I shoot better with the 26 but that is probably because I have many thousand more rounds behind it than the 43x.
Sounds like a soild plan.
Good channel with great content.
I have a 43X, but I go back to the 26. It's better to conceal even with a +2 mag base. Also, a 19 mag for backup.
I'm new to the channel and from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Yep, thanks for watching
I live in a state where I can only have 10 rounds. So adding an extension to the mag without adding the benefit of have a few more rounds makes the 26 less ideal for my case. I’d rather have the thinner gun at that point. Than have one that has a grip that prints the same but is chunkier. I do love the 26 still though.
That definitely makes sense. Depends on hand size, state laws, comfort and confidence in handling the firearm.
43x with PSA micro mags has pretty much ended the debate for the best edc gun IMO.
facts
I may be purchasing the 43x this Friday. Did the PSA magazine run well without having to modify the mag? Do you have to change out the mag release? Thanks
I don’t know dude, y’all internet people be tripping me out…. Who the hell, the internet is some babies… (not saying you per say) y’all really gunna go on the internet and say that most people don’t use the Glock 26 without the x grip… I do and honestly.. the Glock 26 is a pocket rocket.. it design it the be concealed. If you going to do that and use an xgrip all the time… get a 19 🤦🏾♂️
If you listen to the vid, I say I don't know anyone personally that leaves it flush.. If you left yours flush thats fine/ your choice. When people buy things they can do whatever they want to do to it.
All I use is the flush fit 10 rounder magazines and use +2 pinky extenders magazines both conceal well. I have my 19 and 17 round mags as backups.
barrel length is a factor, 26 is a good bit shorter
The 26. 100 percent better gun
Been carry g26 for about 5 yrs xgrip g19 mag or 10rd wit +3 pinky ext with tlr6 …. Haven’t found anything better
once you have it personalized and dialed in, its hard to beat
Great Comparison video just what i was looking for... Got the xgrips on the way ...G26 my favorite Love the fde setup...
thanks, nice... actually O.D. Green
I love my G26s and G27s. All glocks fit my hands perfectly....G21, G35/17/G19...etc
My fav has to be the G27 with the 40sw rnd though.
Ammo cost is higer for .40 cal, makes the gun way heavier, and the recoil is absurd. Harder to hit a moving threat with a .40 cal at 15- 20 yds .... Go ahead and quietly make the switch over to 9mm lol
@@PipeWagonTV never!!!
26 by a mile
After my mods, 26 shoots way better
Only have to change mag release if you goto the sheild mags
many people do not carry it with the extended mags at the length the 26 with the extension is act you might as well get a 19
A 26 w 19 mag is lighter and shorter than a 19 and is more comfortable when gripping/ shooting the firearm.
Love my G26 with the 12rd extensions. It just feels good to me, very similiar to the G19 but I like the shorter slide on the G26. I will occassionally carry my G26 with an xgrip as well i consider it a short barrell G19 but for whatever reason it just feel better than the G19 and I am more accurate with the 26.
Yep, I know exactly what you mean. The G19 is uncomfortable in my hand also. Many great options for the ole pinky on the 26
@@PipeWagonTV as always thank you for the great content brother!
@@glocksNgrippers anytime
I have both. Prefer the 43x by FAR. Unless you carry the 26 with the factory 10rd mag, there's no point. PSA makes a 15rd mag for the 43x that adds no additional height. The 26 will print just as much as the 19 unless as I stated, you run it with a 10rd mag
Nah, 19 mag in a 26 is less in height compared to the 43x.
@@williambarber627
They're the same. A 26 with a 19 mag is the same height as a standard 19. And a 19 has the same exact height as a 43x. By carrying a 26 with a 19 mag, you're giving up the extra barrel compared to a 19. And you're giving up concealability in terms of width when compared to the 43x. The best advantage a 26 has is by carrying it with the oem 10rd mag and most people don't do that.
Don't get me wrong the 26 is a great gun, but in my opinion it's pointless to have if you have a 43x and a 19 already. I have all 3 and the 26 is in my rotation during winter cuz my 19 is my home defense.
I have the 43x with a shield mag that holds 15 rounds…. No issues best concealed gun IMO
It does conceal better than a 26 on certain body types
@@PipeWagonTV… on which body types does which Glock conceal better?
@@martinarendasy7367 it depends on your holster and where you are trying to conceal the firearm. If you have a straight up and down build then you might want to try a narrow smaller glock
G26 is 👑
I have the 19,43X,26,27,22,42 in my rotation I have the 43X,Sheild plus, Gx4 and 19 in my rotation but I have not shot the 26 yet but I am looking too add my 26 into the rotation.
Which Gen 26?
@@PipeWagonTV Glock 26 Gen5.
The G26 is much wider and is one of my favorite Glocks. The 43X is great one upgraded. Lets face facts, all Glocks need at least one upgrade. The grip plug, sights for starters.
yep, glocks are like ARs. You have to have fun with them/ upgrade some things
Id take the 43x but i love the 26 and would pick the 26 if had a light rail .
Yeah, that's my only "issue" While there are adapter kits, it adds the search for a holster that fits right. Both have their merits and detractors for sure.
I own 2 Glock 26 and I carry them both everyday. I use to have 2 Glock 27’s but I like 9mm better
You got tired of that recoil and ammo cost huh 😁
Why not compare stock versus stock versus unfair
I dont carry stock
Glock 26 is a chopped down service gun. And it handles like a service gun. 43x is designed as a conceal carry firearm and has the disadvantages that come with guns that put size over handling and reliability.
Glock 26 has been my choice over the last 11 years.
Don't trust sheild arms mags. Yours may work FOR NOW, but many others have issues.
That’s what I was scared of. Does the thinner newer glock run “less reliable”?
@@nicknemeth3929nope. I own both and shoot the 26 and 43x about the same. I like the fatter grip for me on the 26. But they are both great.
Good observation, was thinking the same . Factory glock mags instead of shield arms mags
No lies told.
I also run the 26 with flush 10rd, If I where to use the xgrip I would rather go with a G19
26 with x grip is lighter and has shorter length than g19. and the grip/ frame is more comfortable to hold on the 26 w x grip over the 19 especially if you have larger hands. This is due to the bottom rear edge of the g19 pressing/ poking into the palm
Like going to the club and seeing two dimes. It's like dang i want them both
lol
I don’t trust the PSA mag for EDC.
They make a gen 5 26 MOS but still won’t add a rail.

Umm excuse me sir, your table is wet. Just kidding. Great video.
Thanks!
I do believe that Glock intended for the 26 to be the back up gun. It is way too small for an actual man to carry this thing and be proficient with IMO. If you put an extended magazine in it to assist your overall grip, then buy the 19 for your main carry, use the 26 as a secondary. I'll keep my 17 as my primary, and Yes, in CC the 17. Thanks for the video bro, greatly appreciated
Not actually true. Have an open mind. People are very accurate with the 26 and can handle it very well as a primary. Also, something to think about, the 26 with extended mag is lighter than the 19. And rates lower on the Push Your Balls In scale. Its basically a "26x". Remember, one has the option to run it in any configuration
@@PipeWagonTV I think the 26 is "top" heavy and it feels bulky and unbalanced. That's how it feels in my hands. My 17 is a far more balanced gun. I can't see the point in the 26, personally. It's made for concealment but it's fat and awkward. I own one and have carried it before. Personally, I prefer the 17
Glock 30!
My favorite 45 ACP of all time and carry it exclusively when I carry 45 ACP.
G30 is a more bulky/ heavier gun that shoots slower subsonic rounds. With all the ammo choices for 9mm, 9mill is a better option today
@@PipeWagonTV no way. 9mm is too weak. 40 and 45 is where its at.
The pistols are brand new. Have you ever fired them?
They are cleaned after every use or every other use
Both are good, but the 26 shoots better and is more versatile.

43x is slimmer and lighter which makes it better!
No
Unfortunately that makes it the exact opposite lol lighter just means more recoil
G43x with the 15rd mags make the 26 and 19 obsolete imo
Hmmm 🤔 the 43x is capped at 15 rounds and those aftermarket mags still having issues and no other Glock OEM double stack mags work with the 43x. Every OEM double stack Glock mags will work with the 26. As per another comment I posted for this video, The double stack mag option was also a major factor in me choosing a 26 over other guns. Just my opinion/thoughts, to each his own though, as long as we’re happy with what we have it’s all good.
yep....26 issss way more versatile when it comes to Mags
Everyone seems to forget that the 26 can use all the doublestack mags, grip extend into a 19 or slap in a 33 round mag. It's a lot easier to carry the gun in a shorter config and have a 17 round backup mag in a mag holster than a big L shaped object.
@@PineyJusticeexactly was just about to say that looking down at my g26 with a 19x mag in 17+2
Micro dagger mags for the win
I'm thinking "neither"... is what I want.
nothing is wrong with that
Your better off carrying a G19 if you are using an Xgrip
Seems that way, but g19 has longer slide, is heavier and also has a hump that pushes into your palm if you have large hands
His and hers pistols.

If you're gonna run a 26 with a 19 mag, may as well run a 19, you're comparing apples to oranges if you don't compare stock to stock. Stock to stock the 43x is slimmer and lighter. The only advantage the 26 has is mag compatibility, that's it. The 43x has dethroned the trusty ol baby glock aka the fat boy.
Im comparing just what I said in the vid Im comparing. A 26 w 19 mag is lighter and shorter than a 19 and is more comfortable when gripping/ shooting the firearm.
Nope. The G43X is the best EDC handgun ever created. Unless Glock ever produce a Glock 26X (which I would buy in a F blink), I will always pick a Glock 43X MOS with PSA Micro 15 round mags over a Glock 26, even with X-Grips. I live in Florida, so printing means nothing to me. I need a default AND REAL full grip without extensions, YES or YES. I would only appreciate the greater reliability due to obvious higher tolerances of a future Glock 26X. Otherwise, the Glock 26 is completely out of the equation for me, and certainly for many other people as well. The Glock 43X sales numbers says I'm right. And Math and Money never lies.

Thats because in 9mm, the 124 grain has less pressure than a 115 grain. I know it seems backwards but that isnt the case
