The fact that he took it the other side of the country is HUGE for Tommy and the boys. next time to get rid of rust between panels, soak it with CLR solution, it will strip everything overnight. Afterwards treat it with cold blue or hot blue if you can apply torch heat to make the metal corrosion resistant. You can paint or whatever you want after bluing the steel.
Should build a roller for the rear gearbox mount like you do for moving the chassis around. Will save your boy's backs a bit and make mating the trans up to the engine easier.
I used to work at Nissan in Smyrna, tn many years ago in the body shop. We always used ppg paint as that is what was recommended. When trying to match a color and all the variants of for instance AH3 we had a ppg device called prophet which would break down the color and come up with the best formula. I bet something like that would be a whole lot cheaper than mixing each formula and making a spray out, considering you are using dimont colors in that mixing bank.

Found it to be therapeutic watching this haha, having no music was relaxing especially with the rain in the background. Car turned out amazing, only thing that would’ve made it better was like tommy said was full bolt ons and ditch California.

I think there is a fuse for the HICAS and ABS you can pull out to turn of those lights instead of taking the cluster out to pull the bulbs or simply unplug the HICAS & ABS ECU connectors or depin them from the dash plug on passenger kick panel.
Insanely clean!!! i really liked the longer video and no music! one thing I noticed is the head light buckets were not re painted and can see the old crusty paint peeking out from the fender to the headlight, is it worth pulling it out and powder coating it black ?
