@Leopold Agreed. I use wireless charging much more often than I do with charging it with a cable. I mainly charge it wirelessly in order to greatly reduce the wear and tear of the phone's USB-C port. It's already used plenty though because that's how I transfer files to and from the computer.

tried it yesterday; worked out well apart from one thing to note: the plastic frame up top and to the side does have a function to support the glass. I reinstalled the glas backing with the proper, precut adhesive and upon medium pressure between the upper edge of the frame and the camera lens it easily shattered. I kept the frame and will reinstall the upper part of it, together with some adhesive, to make the phone not quite as prone to breaking when I get my new backing in the mail. just a heads up.
@@HaxxorElite Well, the colored film is actually a rather important structural part; took no more than 24 hours for it so go south completely, aka being reduced to a pile of shards. If attempted I would heavily recommend NOT removing the NFC-Coil, as that cushions the glas as well as getting a clear, rigid case to go over it to make up for the missing film. I reinstalled a colored back again, tbh. ^^
For a video that could have been just a simple tear-down and explanation of how to remove paint, you managed to make a really fun and creative experience. The variety of shots in the cinematography, from the point of view shots in the store and the alternation between overhead and table level perspective to demonstrate the process and show off the internals of the S8, make for a really immersive experience. I also really appreciate the seamless, no-nonsense editing, showing only the best shots and keeping the pace lively and fluid. Your videos really kick ass. Love the dry humor as well. Keep up the great work!
Im replacing the battery in my old s8+ (battery is still in the mail) and well removing the old bloated battery I kept thinking how beautiful the inside of the phone is and how I wish the glass was clear. Thus googling happened and I am here lol, thanks for posting this and showing how simple it will be to do this. My s8+ is no longer my daily phone so I am not worried about water resistance and all that but I will still keep the wireless in there. Side note I have about these phones, the inside design is amazing from a repair stand point. Lots of connectors are pogo pins or zifs, no need to solder or heavy skill things inside! Hardest part is opening it unless you had battery swell and then you can just effortlessly/carefully peel the back panel off lol. I wish more phones were still made this way or all phones were really.
Why would you insult him? He obviously doesn't know much about assembly/disassembly of mobile phones. Even though this is pretty easy, to a novice this would look very difficult.

I've been thinking about a clear phone for years, that looks epic. Now if you could fill it 70% full of mineral oil. look up computer builds fully submerged in mineral oil, hard drive and everything, it's non conductive. if you could pull that off it would put you on the map even more, you getting a Ferrari soon or something, the new Tesla?
Umm, you do not want to put hard drives in mineral oil. The oil will get into the drive and cause it to spin extremely slow rendering it basically unusable. The only hard drives you can put in oil is fully sealed drives that usually have other gasses like helium, and ssds becuase there are no moving parts.

Jerry A Tip/suggestion from Me.. the transparent double sided tape used by is not really a good option reason.. 1.it doesn't have great bonding.. 2.with time dust will get accumulated inside it. And spoil that awesome transparent look. What we use is a kind of transparent adhesive a bit silicone it nature. You should try using it..

If you manage to separate the coil from the black adhesive you could maintain the wireless charging and keep the looks.
That's not possible. This coil is conductive and exposed could lead to shortage. That black "adhesive" is just an isolation.
It might work if he found clear adhesive.

Paendabear Nah, I'd keep the wireless charging. It still looks good to me with it. What we need if samsung decides to make it is a glass outer frame (the thing made out of aluminum) with aluminum wires as a support.

Now if you could fill it 70% full of mineral oil. look up computer builds fully submerged in mineral oil, hard drive and everything, it's non conductive. if you could pull that off it would put you on the map even more, you getting a Ferrari soon or something, the new Tesla?

Umm, you do not want to put hard drives in mineral oil. The oil will get into the drive and cause it to spin extremely slow rendering it basically unusable. The only hard drives you can put in oil is fully sealed drives that usually have other gasses like helium, and ssds becuase there are no moving parts.
Hey... Jerry A Tip/suggestion from Me.. the transparent double sided tape used by is not really a good option reason..
1.it doesn't have great bonding..
2.with time dust will get accumulated inside it. And spoil that awesome transparent look.
What we use is a kind of transparent adhesive a bit silicone it nature.
