Happened to me as well.. my sim had lived 20 days overtime, and I wanted him to die. Used “testing cheats enabled true” and killed him. Then the stupid cat comes and saves the stupid old man..
Also if you want your Sim to have twins/triplets (this has worked for me in the past)... Boy/Girl: 3 Apples and 3 Watermelons Boy/Boy: 6 Apples Girl/Girl: 6 Watermelons 3 Boys: 9 Apples 3 Girls: 9 Watermelons 2 Boys 1 Girl: 6 Apples and 3 Watermelons 2 Girls 1 Boy: 6 Watermelons and 3 Apples Do not exceed the amount of fruit given to the Sim or else they will only have one child. Do not repeat anything, only do once.
Ah yes, the fruit thing is very handy. Also don't forget that watching the kid's chanel and listening to kid music highly increases the chance of twins and triplets! (I don't know if the game tells you this but here you go anyway)
In Sims4 it's strawberrys and pop music for girls and carrots (I believe) and alternative music for boys. I'm wondering, if there is something for twins, as well.
Thats not all about the magic gnomes tho. They can also have Family. If you have two magical gnomes and place them close to each other eventually there will be a baby gnome who actually ages :)
They should have just made the sims 3 again with better graphics and the new build mode. Sims 3 build mode was so freaking annoying.They should just make a full game with few expansions.

A weird stuff just happened as I played Sims 3. I tried to get my female Sim pregnant with guy 1, and it didn't work. So I tried again with guy 2, and she got pregnant. But when the baby was born, it was guy 1's baby. Any explanation for this?
There isn't always a jingle after trying for baby but you can still end up with a pregnant sim. Chances are that your sim was pregnant even though there was no jingle
I´m about to buy the full collection of The Sims 3 after this video! Although i am addicted to 4, with almost a thousand hours of gameplay... But the open world and the great diversity of features of 3, made me want to play it!
Sims 3 Ambition: When you drill a hole at night between 10pm and 8am at a lot with nearby residential lots (be it at your own home lot or at a community lot), the neighbours would be woken up and annoyed at you, eventually, your relationship with them would decline due to the noise pollution created from the drilling.
So I used to load up my friend's saved games when they weren't around, and use the cheat codes to buy those mysterious gnomes and place dozens of them in some hidden room I design in a basement using the hidden room element so they can't see it during normal gameplay, then I save and shut down the game. The end result is that the next time they play their house will slowly get overrun by those gnomes.
I didn't know about the auto-complete thing about the low needs! I just tried it and it worked! Wow, all this time I never knew there was a shortcut. Thanks!
Fun fact: If you add Grim to your family (testingcheats), use the mirror or wardrobe to save him, the sim got saved will have no head if you change his casual outfit. If you let him use the Virtual Reality goggle in this no head outfit, the goggle will stuck to his neck!
Once I was playing playing a really long game in The Sims 3 Pets and all of a sudden I saw what looked like a tiny dog in a gnome costume. I kept my eye on it, and at midnight it disappeared. I found it later in the daughter's room and finally realised it was a magic gnome.
Does the unlucky trait immortality always give you a free pass or is it a one and done kind of thing? Does that mean your sim can only die of old age if they're unlucky? I didn't realize there were so many ways to save your sim from death! Honestly, you could probably make a video on that alone. Thanks for another great video!

I didn't know you could add the Grim Reaper to the household this way! There was another way I used to do it but a patch disabled it from working, so tanks for showing me this way! I have to play The Sims 3 now to try it.
Concerning the "choose your baby's gender" trick, I only feed the mom one watermelon at all while she's pregnant and it's always a girl. And I heard that for a boy it's lime not apple and this also worked for me as well.

I once tried the ranting about death out of curiosity. Reaper killed my sim, in front of said sim's brother, and brought him back to life with that warning. But the sim's brother still kept mourning his "death" for quite a while... Pretty stupid when a sim is mourning the "death" of a sim who's dancing 2 meters away from him, being very alive, but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
many thanks for the auto-solve trick. i had no idea about that one. and i now know how thse sims4 sims feel when nearly laughing themselves to death. *points at the sim named 'seymore' who is dressed as cloud* he nearly did for me! (if you are interested, unless its been taken down, there is a seymore guado sim at mod the sims for sims2. it does use custom items, but you can leave off the dress/robe and it does not break. you can even swap the skin and gender, i use him to make my prettiest sims because i love how they look using that face as a starting point)
If you have the Sims 3 University Life, and you want to know if a sim is pregnant, shortly after they WooHoo, try to enroll in university. If they're pregnant, it will be greyed out and say "Sim is pregnant!"

About ranting you asked what you might achieve from this. Is one of the rebel social group activities. If you want to keep up with them that's one of the things you must do.

The unlucky trait does not work with death by running out of air or shark attack in the Island Paradise expansion.

(if you are interested, unless its been taken down, there is a seymore guado sim at mod the sims for sims2. it does use custom items, but you can leave off the dress/robe and it does not break. you can even swap the skin and gender, i use him to make my prettiest sims because i love how they look using that face as a starting point)

If you have the Sims 3 University Life, and you want to know if a sim is pregnant, shortly after they WooHoo, try to enroll in university. If they're pregnant, it will be greyed out and say "Sim is pregnant!"
That's not even needed, when you woohoo, you will first hear a harp, and if you successfully got your sim pregnant, you will hear a chime.
