  • Still pictures only - I didn't take video but I thought this might help some people anyway. I unplugged the original +ve from the (in my opinion useless location) underseat power unit, and plugged a spade connector into the OEM wire connector behind the milky white plastic cover. I ran my wire along the frame etc up to the handlebars via the left side as I had both sides of bodywork off.
This wire is then switched with ignition. I ran a negative to a ABS / frame bolt.

Thank You for Sharing a bit strange that a big motorcycle manufacturer like Honda doesn’t make a 12 volt outlet in the front off the bike for GPS and USB leaving it up to the owner to drag the wires from the battery under the seat, or did you find any 12 voltage outlets under the skin ?

Hey - quick question - where exactly to the spade connector to 12v power socket? I was trying to find it without damaging the bike :) Thanks.

brilliant video .I've a honda x-adv myself in fact I'm on my adv number 2 .What I would really like to know is how to get the indicators to flash as a separate four way hazards ....Without the need for ignition on ..if you breakdown

Did you connect the wire from usb and gps straight to the battery ?

they said they were going to connect the wire under the main power relay. Once the bike is off, no power will be drawn from the usb or the gps.
