Used the Cliffside cheese and sniped him with my Longbow+10. Was able to take him down with enough arrows to spare. Tricky part is finding the right spot so he doesn't climb up.
You don’t need to cheese him. You don’t need to fight him. Just ride around summoning and resummoning and he will go down without you making a single attack of your own. It’s how I did it first time through.
Ok, I've always had trouble with Radahn, and have only ever beaten him with help. I couldn't get any this time, and at level 69 on a str build, I just beat him without attacking him ONCE. I didn't even have a rune arc active, and was overweight. All I did was run around keeping a healthy distance, and kept summoning NPCs...and they killed him. You can distract him sometimes to give your dudes a break, and if you're getting chased down but see no summon signs, then they're running around trying to get into the fight. So just lead Radahn right towards a bunch of your charging allies and he'll stop his pursuit. I honestly couldn't believe it, especially since I was going to toss the match because I screwed up my prep but gave it a shot anyways. I even got nailed a bunch of times with his arrows at the start, and nearly died, ended up using 3 of 10 flasks for health immediately, and still had 4 left over! This isn't a cheese imo, I call it the "General's tactic", where you just stay alive and maintain your small army. I highly recommend it, if anything just for fun. PS I stayed on horseback the whole time and it never died. I was dismounted a few times and had lots of close calls, but somehow scraped by. If you don't know, dodge the meteor attack easily by running TOWARDS the light source. He overshoots you every time, I've never been hit by it (similar to ancient dragon in DS2, it's big forward area attack needs to be charged at to get behind, not outrun it). Hope this helps anyone still stuck.

You just have to keep everyone summoned, and avoid the meteor attack by running TOWARDS the light. I don't know who it was, but one of my summons was a mage-looking girl that mostly followed me around, but it was all so hectic and I had so many boost icons already, I don't know what she was doing lol. If they were getting really messed up, you can either run in and get his attention for a second, or hit him with an arrow. Basically play support. Thinking back, I'd also summon Stormhawk Deenh, because he gives an attack buff to everyone and will mostly stick around you, not sure with the big arena. There were even characters that I couldn't summon for story reasons, you can see your missing allies shades in the courtyard. I was missing like 5 extra people and still got it done. Blaidd and Alexander are the best in this match, both dps tanks, but you need everyone as a distraction. The hardest part is the beginning, dodging his arrows. Bad luck can ruin your run before it starts, so the faster you start summoning, the sooner he stops (your allies all run toward him immediately). Always use the debris to block shots if possible, one time use only though. If you can summon cooperators, I might be able to help...I don't know if you can though, I've never found a sign. *Sorry for that confusing, idiotic reply from before lol

He was more powerful than even the Elden Beast, with the power to literally stop meteors from striking earth, and it also shows the true power of the Scarlet Rot, an actual Eldrich horror unto itself. Anyway, glad you beat him, and imo, this was the most fun. I also realized if you kill Commander Niall in the Aeonia swamp, you can fully role play as a general. His weapon even boosts the whole party! I know what I'm doing today...😁
@Slouchy Gamer When you kill Rennala in the Carian Manor (one of the great runes, second "proper" major boss) you get the option to respec for one larval tear, a special item. There are loads during the game, and once you get to a certain farming spot, nothing matters anymore lol. The place I'm talking about is by doing White Mask Varres quest to a point (the first guy you see at the start of the game). When you get to travel to Mohgs palace, run around the area for a little ramp leading to a grace. I think it's Manor Roadside Path or something. With the Ruins Greatsword ability, golden scarab, and golden chicken feet, you can get just under 500k for the time the foot is active, I think 3 minutes...and you can get there before mid game even. My first playthrough, I killed nearly every boss with a few hits...because I was nearly level 300 with hardly any story done lmao. Forget any glitching experience boosts you see, waste of time. You can craft the feet too, so you never run out. All those "methods" pale in comparison, and most videos show it on ng+ or higher, making it seem like more runes are actually available. If you want a proper rune farm really early, let me know. It's still worthwhile even after level 50, but you CAN do it pretty much from the start. All you fight are those annoying little imps. *PS As far as weapons go, do you do str or Dex? There are epic weapons for both right from the start. Ideally for Strength, get the Grafted Greatsword from Castle Morne on the southern island area. The basic Greatsword is good too, and is found in a carriage chest in Caelid. They're too heavy for starters though, so the Dex weapon is generally better until your stats etc are up. That's the Bloodhound Blade, from the Bloodhound Evergaol. If you meet Blaidd ahead of time, you can summon him making the fight a joke. He also gives you somber stones to upgrade your new weapon. It's got blood loss, great stagger, huge reach, and has actually carried me to the end of the game, just gets kinda boring. It's a legendary, but you can still use grease on it, but it's skill is basically useless. I pair it with the Jellyfish Shield and one hand it. With the jelly buff, a one hander does more than a two hander strike. I also use the jelly shield with the grafted blade, since the sword also has a good buff that adds to the jelly buff. If you didn't know, I recently found out the boiled prawn and after, the crab from the Blackguard make a HUGE difference in physical damage negation. Way more than it implies or even shows on stats imo.
@Slouchy Gamer Oh, and when you do Dex, you'll LOVE the bleed effect. There's even a way to apply it continuously using dual wielding twinblades, one with built in fire and bleed. Add cold to the other, and attacking a frozen enemy with fire causes an AoE burst, resets their frostbite, and there's constant stagger. So constant bleed application, repeated AoE frost explosions, and I think you can literally get like 12 hits with a dual twin blade LIGHT combo in about a second, so theyre absolutely GUSHING blood.. I've done over 15k damage with this one moveset in one go (number above hp bar) and I don't even think it uses FP. The bloody twin blade you get is part of Yuras (the samurai) quest, it's really easy but don't rush it, it can cancel other story stuff unless you don't care lol. *I highly recommend Fightin' Cowboy's guides to these. He platinums them super fast, and makes 100% completion guides. Half of what I learned was from him.

Radahn is literally the reason I'm starting to hate this game again. They made him ridiculous and you can't keep summoning helpers consistently so he finally kills you

@@mrgray5576 i mean i just did this fight yesterday on latest patch, and my experience was that they have cooldowns, so you keep riding around and when one gets killed you'll see a sign light up near one of the pile of swords and you just spam them back in.
this may have been patched, but I quit to main menu when I realized it didn't work, and when I loaded back in...I'm still on the cliff in the boss arena, but Radahn is gone and the arena is back to normal, so that's interesting lmao
I just finished him in less than a minute without getting hit, u need no spells no special moves, no drinking, nothing just chase him with torrent, he will try to keep distanz and runs away from u!! But torrent is faster so u keep hitting him from behind with a sword or whatever while he runs like a chicken, so stupid... and at the war catacombs u will die 1000 deaths again, all ghost soldier more strong than Radahn, some only need 2 strikes to send u to heaven lol
Yeah, but a game like this is also very challenging when you try to use every exploit or mechanic to outsmart heavy enemies that one shot you through the textures 🤷🏻♂️

This method is very old, and it was patched a long time ago. Unless they "depatched" him in 1.08.1, this won't work.

Just spawn the NPCs. They'll do all the heavy lifting. It takes a little bit but they eventually kill him

This is pre-patch, you can tell because of the UI changes. I don’t think this works as of 1.09.
Tried it three times and not only did he not take fall damage but started gravity attacks when I used bow. Dam you from-soft !!!
