As of the most recent update, this and the other popular one where you jump off the map for runes have both been patched and you die no matter what.
That makes sense as to why it wasn't working and it all I got was rune and never ending falling.
Maybe the ones saying it worked from a day ago are lying.

@xd3m0nxx25 , yeah same. I was swining for like 25 minutes just some runes and no Mohg death. They must have done a hidden patch or people are trolling saying it works lol.

It might even be worth doing this twice. If you don’t have Mohg loaded in you’ll instead kill a miniboss and get blood tacs

She’s that good? Mogh was harder than Malenia for me. I have to start a new play through and I’m dreading fighting him to get to SOTE.
I just one phased him using the Wing of Astel on my INT Build if youre having trouble

@@jhueth3969 I was stuck on him for 4 hours with my Moonblade build, slow weapons hurt for him.
Tried the glitch showed in videos like this one for about an hour and realized the infinite fall was patched.
So I looked up the best Spirit Ash. Saw Tiche was right near where you get the Moonblade so I grabbed her and maxed her.
Legit, first try. A boss that gave me 5 hours of pain was crushed in a single try with Tiche by my side.
@@jhueth3969 so long as Tiche gets agro you can just start lobbing things at Mohg with little to no worries. that and the better rot breath spell did a lot of work for me. once i got the rhythm down didnt take more than a minute iirc

Great video very well explained, note when doing the second jump down to the cliff jump and hold the run button then run and jump if you don't sometimes you will not make the jump

@@ohaiman4393yeah I had a hard time but after my buddy found the cheese I use it every time also you can repeat said cheese without mogh to get about 150-200k depends on how far you drop (you can drop to get a few extra and scarab) but also if you have gold scarab

Seems like it's patched, tried it to get some quick acces to DLC, and I just died. My sword was swinging, so I just assume they either patched the sword swinging reseting the fall timer, or they added a killbox under the entire map. Anyway, sigh, seems we cannot really enter the DLC at a low level unless you want to try and beat Mogh without getting hit basically...
Has this been patched? ive tried this hole and ive tried the other hole you can do it in and neither seem to working. this is the only boss o hate fighting lol

I believe they’ve patched it as of this morning. This one and another I’ve used since 2022 are not working as of today

Just did this today on a lvl 30char to get ready for the dlc so i can get the kung fu fists fast and it still works one day before dlc thank you goo work

Didn't work for me. I swung for about 15 minutes just to get runes and no Mohg death.

@@JoeyMania yup, not sure about every exploit but as I know of all the easier ones to date have now been patched apart from wrong warps and zips. I believe there’s a couple outliers like maybe nights cavalry, Greyll, ruptured physick, critical and maybe grand lift of rold skips that might still work but they’ve done a good job getting rid of most of them
Im trying to do it but i only kill a couple things but not the boss, am i doing something wrong?
Have to do the whole cheese without falling off the ledge and dying.
If you fall off the ledge next to the grace and die. You have to reset the cheese by resting at the site of grace.
Then just follow the guide again and you’ll get the boss defeat come up
Make sure you're going into the Mohg boss room and quitting out before successfully doing the glitch. If you don't Mohg might despawn when you walk away. This does mean if you die doing the glitch you'll need to go back and quit out of his boss room again.

It worked. Got the runes and all but then fell furthermore and died. And lost all runes.. If only I had the sacrificial twig equipped:(

It kills me now after the update. this is unfortunately paatched.
Started NG+ forever ago, got somewhat through it but stopped after a while. Saw the DLC required Mohg to be defeated and that’s one fight I didn’t want to have to do again. This is a huge timesaver.

this saved me. i started a dlc-dedicated character months ago in preparation and got radahn out of the way immediately since i can consistently beat him no hit+no summons(disclaimer: radahn is my favorite fight, so i fight him often. i am not good at anything else in the game. radahn is a statistical outlier and should not be counted). but in my radahn-fueled hubris i decided i am simply so good at the game(i am not) that i would certainly be fine procrastinating until last minute to beat mohg(i would not). like i said, i am dogshit at everything but radahn. mohg is mean to me and makes me cry. today i finally decided to get my shit together and fight him. it felt like i was in one of those 80's movies with a cartoonishly evil school bully. mohg gave me a wedgie and dunked my head in a toilet and then locked me in my own locker. i was gonna go hollow at that point, man. do you know how hard you need to get your ass kicked in order to fall victim to a curse from a whole ass separate game????
but at least cheating out of the mohg fight did not spare me from struggle. i died 8 times doing this because i cannot do my silly little hops from the silly little ledges without panicking and running directly off of them like a fool. regardless, thank you for this, i would have felt like shit if i missed the first day of the dlc purely because of my own idiot behavior lmao. i owe you my life, friend😩

Same, new patch a few hours ago and it's fixed. I have a +10 blasphemous blade BUT mogh is so fire resistant the fight is so hard. I wish I had found this video yesterday

PATCHED, no longer works. There are still ways to make this fight easier when fighting him the conventional way.
Mohg's shackle can be used twice in the first phase to get in a few free hits. Use purifying crystal tear when the first curse ring appears. Summon mimic tear at start of second phase. Stay away during his flight based attacks, then come in to punish him whilst he's distracted by mimic. Obviously any bloodloss negation items are useful in this fight. Theres also a talisman that boosts damage in the presence of the blood loss status effect. Good luck Tarnished.

Make sure you hit that double jump first, and also I just use an easy to swing sword like a katana. I used the rivers of blood because I know it's easy to swing on horseback
You also must use a sword of some kind, it wouldn’t let me use a staff to swing on horse back.

You have to enter his room before each try, if I understand it correctly. I was failing a few times, then I entered his room, he started walking towards me, I quit the game, re-entered it and it worked like a charm
I just tried it and it worked, you need to enter the boss room and leave to menu and enter again. When I did that it worked flawlessly
@@memeboi5780 Don't even need to enter his room, you just have to ride the lift up for him to spawn.
