Blaidd isn’t wearing a wolf mask, he actually is a wolf man. That’s why when you get his armor it doesn’t come with a wolf mask. You find that elsewhere
They refer to Blaid in game as the half wolf that implies he might be the only one.
Sadly my Blaidd is bugged and won't spawn (yes I set him free from the evergaol)
@@Caernunnos that happened to me, I thought he spawned right after, but for me he didn't spawn until I finished the quest line, after getting the dark moon great sword I went back and he was there
@@Caernunnos If you go to the ruins and he's not there, he can be found in Siofra River and you can do his quest still.
@@2Eliishere Get a quest from Renna to help her "Wolven" friend named Blaidd. Guessing Wolven is a race or type of some sort.
Did it the first time, and because someone mentioned it in another comment, I hit him about 3 times with the Rot breath before he dropped to half health, and found I only had to ride away from him for the last segment! Easiest boss battle of all, but most likely only thanks to this tip!!! Thank you!
I’m almost 50, old man, I love this game! I’m looking up videos literally every few minutes. I had 8 dragon hearts before I even knew what to do with them. I used the stinky breath and put him down on the third go. Thx .

Finally did it, but man did it take a while. 50 odd times i wiped on this boss. Some tips for others building on TagBacks advice here, in case it helps you too;
1) get the barricade shield AoW from the Night Cavalry in Weeping Peninsula - helps massively with the big arrows
2) as others suggested, hold the dragon rot spell down if you can. I couldn’t manage four times - this way i only had to do it twice
3) the dragon rot breath has more range than i realised - no need to go right up to Radahn. You can range a little bit
referring to number one, you can just get on your horse and out strafe the arrows then get off once the arrows are done to dodge the purple balls.
I’m having a issue with it. When I tried using the dragon rot it wasn’t effecting him or it just wasn’t hitting him
i used it just twice, with the help of the backup provided. ran up while they had him occupied, held down spell button, Abd just watch the tics tell they stop. Then do it once more. Fight over

Rotten breath can be applied in one cast if you stand further away from him and do the long blast. Also you don't have to equip the seal in right hand. When mounted the two hand equip button sequence causes you to use the left hand weapon.

Highly recommend fighting the dragon near the communion church. He gives another rot ability (have to purchase from church) that does an insane amount of tick damage and the buildup is almost instant

If you’re looking for the best overall armor: the one I’ve found was in a dungeon (i can’t remember where) it’s the Tree Sentinel Armor. It’s lighter weight than Radahn’s armor and has better stats in all but magic I believe. If I recall somewhat correctly, the dungeon was located somewhere in Leyndell.

Took me 4 days to beat Radahn, I finally used the Sword of Night and Flame to do it. I died about 70 times overall. It was so hard. I wish I had tried the dragon rot but i never even visited that church before.
4 DAYS ?! Did you even summon NPC’s during the fight ? They help a lot

@@kevinharvey9500 he probably was just too underleveled. radahn is hard boss but if you didn't rush to him you should be around lvl 50-70, then he turns from an impossible boss to a decently hard boss. Most bosses in this game shouldnt take more than a couple of tries. I did godrick on my 4th try and margit on my first try. But this game is great for its story and visuals alone you should give it a try

@@15leungc3 thing is, a lot of people who are playing Elden Ring have never played a souls game before, so that’s why it’s really hard. I’ve played two souls games because I find this one to be pretty difficult
If the portal for the Impassable Bridge isn't active for you follow these instructions: You have to get the two medallions. One of these pieces will be in "Fort Haight" in the Mistwoods, and the other is in "Fort Faroth", in Dragonburrow. You can run through both and just collect the pieces. Then you have to go to "The Great Lift of Dectus", activate the lift and then you HAVE TO FIND A GRACE PIT to discover. That is how it works and the portals at the "Impassable Bridge" will be activated finally.

You can also hold down the button to release the dragon's rot breath full potential and that way you don't have to do it twice per turns but once.

For the Record, the Festival quest line is part of Renna's quest line, if you arent doing that quest, you will have to fight a boss where wolfy boy is standing

Heres a tip: if you use the dragon communion seal instead if the finger seal you only need 1 rotten breath on phase 2 because the effect does transfer between phases.

TIP: Revive the pot guy after the wolf guy to skip the raining arrows. As long as he is engaged with summons he will not rain the arrows.
This isn’t guaranteed. I think it depends on how long you take to activate them or how many purple arrows he shoots, because I summoned them in different orders multiple times but he still shoots the arrows
I’ve been playing through Elden Ring for the first time lately. On my second try against him I got him down to one forth health. Today will be my fifth try on killing him
a tip, when white flags appear you can summon a friend on the ground.
also you can apply rot once by holding down the cast button, it will empty your FP

You should show how to get Radagon's Sorseal at the Fort where you kill the dragon for 100k. Its an upgraded version which gives you +5 in Vigor, End, Strength and Dex. 20 free levels for taking about 10% more damage which pretty much is negated by the extra health you get. You also get the second half of the medallion which allows you to raise the lift which takes you up to the plateau.

If you equip a weapon with blood loss and stay directly underneath him for a majority of the fight until he does his jumping move, you can take away over half his health if all of your companions are hitting him at the same time and then rinse and repeat. I was using the katana with the gravity ability and got him to around a third of health left, also my katana was only ungraded about 4 times. Good luck to everyone.

beat him on the second try, first try i died because i wasnt expecting his initial shot and got one shotted, but after that i just kept summoning npcs to distract him, cool fight ☺️
This is exactly what I did but I use the glintstone icecrag spell to proc frostbite on Radahn so that he'd take more damage from box not summons.
That's basically what happened to me, but I only summon them once and we killed him before needing to summon again
Originally I didn’t have the levels in faith and arcane but I used Godrick’s great rune which raises all attributes and I also used the radagon’s scarseal which also raises attributes but increases the damage take. This wasn’t a problem as the summons were taking all the damage.
Thanks for this tip, saves me putting points into a stat I don't really want to level - I already have the soreseal and the great rune, AND rotten breath, so I had the tools all along. EDIT: found out the soreseal doesn't raise Arcane sadly.

Just beat him at level 70 in less than 10 tries. Thanks man huge help!! I found the easiest way to avoid his attack with the 8 smaller orbs is to jump off torrent and dodge them then get back on, because for me when I was on the horse they hit me every single time unless I was going up a hill

Just a note on the rotten breath ability , rather use the finger seal to apply it ther is a dragonclaw seal you can get that amplifys this , also ther is tailsman you can find that increases the breath damage further , op

@@uditvedantmishra9719 the stone digger troll in limgrave tunnels drops the tailman for the increase roar damage , an the dragon communion seal is at the very first fog door you come across at the beginning of the game where you need to put two stone keys to pass

I did this last night, I must of died no lie 50 times. But I didn’t know you could cast dragon rot from your house I was jumping off and casting it. It was worth killing him and staying up late and only getting 2 hours of sleep and working the next morning! I didn’t even know I got armor I was so excited that I finally killed him and went to bed.

Thanks for explaining this so well. Spent a couple of hours getting nowhere and then found your video. Finally got him after MANY attempts trying to get the strategy down and in the first phase! I think it was because I was able to land 3-4 hits of that spell. But before I knew it, he was gone.

Smoked him on the first go. Great video, watched it like 6 times just so I knew what to do. Worked like a charm.
Here's my tip: Reset your build to 40 vigor, 20ish endurance and 30ish strenght. With that you have Room for error. You can survive 4-6 hits and you Will hit really hard with a big weapon. I was Rolling a paladin building and every Boss was a brezzy but not Radanh. After many hours i reseted to this and got him First try. I Hope It helps! Cheers friends! 🇧🇷

I didn't know you could resummon the npc's and the scarlet rot worked like a charm. Died many times to him, tried this once and defeated him. Thanks this was very helpful.
I figured out that while fighting Radhan, as your allies are killed their golden summoning plates (or whatever they're called) will keep spawning back, so you can keep on bringing them back. I just used your strategy, took my time and continued casing my allies back in (the spawn locations move around to different spots).
Geez that’s sounds like the longest but safest method to beat Radhan

If you can bear the Fringefolk dungeon at the begging you can get a finger seal that boost dragon spells and is weightless.

Also, you don’t have to hit him twice if you hold the dragon rot breath instead of tapping it. It hits him with more at once and the rot takes him straight to phase two with one dose. One more dose in phase two and he’s gone.
What skills do you need to do this? I’m mostly Strength Endurance Vigor

Cheers heaps for this build. I was actually a little worried about resetting my stats. But with this ability I was able to do the strat and killed Radahn after being pasted so much by him that when he died I felt so much at peace.

Okay so when I beat him I leveled up my finger seal to level 3 and I only had to hit him once for both phases of the battle so basically I only used the rot twice to beat him highly recommended.

@@monkeyjunky6785 you start with one as the Confessor. If you are not playing as the confessor you can buy one from the merchant that sells the Confessor equipment. Don't remember where he is at the moment though.
for some reason I had only had to use rot once for each phase as well, but i didn't upgrade anything

As far as the Rahban dragon Rot Breath. You must have gotten really lucky. I've gotten him to 2nd phase numerous times but then he summons these purple meteors that just float above his head. No matter how long I wait he kills me with those everytime.
Try something with frost. I killed him the first try and had those claws that make you look like wolverine, took me less than one minute.
Don't forget to add a frosh ash of war

So im new to this but I really appreciate all your videos it help me get a good jump on the game
FIY: The Radahn Great Swords Ash of War don't give you a boost. It pulls nearby enemies near you like a vortex while they get imbued with lightning, then if you press the button again, you slam them both on the ground for a huge aoe explosion (Just like the boss did)

I just beat Radahn first try, thanks to a tutorial online. As a great sword strength build I usually go in there and unga bunga but I was scared of this guy, especially because the surrounding scarlet area and mobs creeped me out.. I just summoned the peeps and let them fight him, and I’d go into smack him after every combo. I got lucky with dodges when they died and somehow made it through first try.

Finding those revive things is actually the hardest challenge.. But finally managed to beat him after an hour
Awesome vid couldn't have done it without this, I got it on my 3rd-4th try? The sacrifices def did their job cuz I only applied the dragon's breathe 3 times. Thanks a bunch keep up the useful/awesome tips!
You can defeat this boss, Radahn, easy without him even getting to his second phase.
Step 1: let him attack the summons.
Step 2: right when he is about to do the attack where he start swinging around in circle and on his horse, dodge the first swing then go right behind his horse.
From there just do one hit at a time and keep running with him (on Torrent of course) he will glitch and won't be able to continue his move. So basically you will be following him running around in a big circle.
PS: he will try to switch directions if you fall for it you're dead.
(a friend of mine found this out, it took me one try, I use the bleed effect on my weapon if that info might help)
I couldnt manage to get inside his spinning attack without getting killed so it wasn’t really helpful
@@gszuntz hmm it's an animation glitch so I suppose it must be harder to do if you haven't seen it before, apologies the thought didn't cross my mind to record it. Anyway I hope you defeat/defeated him.
PS: it's not the 360 spin attack but the other one where he is riding his horse in a sort of a big circle. And you have to be dead behind the horse, not slightly on the sides.

Tbh for me was one of the most easier, I probably got lucky but I killed at 4th try, little summoning management and pew pew poison/bleeding arrows, I think I staked up so much at 2nd phase he went down very quick, I thought he was entering some 3th phase lol :D

Holy shit I figured out a similar build yesterday! If you have the Roar Medallion, that's a really good addition to make the breath spell hit even harder

Thank you, this tactic worked, I used Godricks great runes to put me just at 12 arcane, it took 2 tries, the NPC summons didn’t last as long as I had hoped, but I did it, rotten breath is a surprisingly powerful spell, I wonder if it has the same kind of effect on other bosses.

This is a big cheese if you have substantial faith and arcane for those dragon spells.
Other option: if your not built in magic. You can go horse and bow. There are talismans in the first area you start in that increase damage on horseback and bow firing range.
There is a merchant in the rot - swamp that sells the plans for bloodloss arrows/bolts. Most ppl go with a X-bow as it does a volley of bolts.
Im a melee class and it worked for me. Took awhile but that was less of the builds fault and more of me being bad at dodging💀

I was level 38 when trying to beat this boss... Can't tell you how helpful it is to see hints / info as to what level I should be for an area.

Its recommended being lev 90-105 for this boss, so you should try later
@@russellmuscle7434 If you don't use this strategy, he's pretty easy with melee and/or frost too. The strategy is the same in both cases. Summon as many allies as you can, while closing the distance between you. Stick to his back and melee him. If you have enough allies, the stagger procs much more rapidly. Once he gets downed, you can either critical him or just keep attacking. The first phase is far easier than the 2nd one, but he is easier when you know a working strategy and focus on employing it.

If the portal isn't activated, start Ranni the Witch questline. See Blaid in Siofra river well where he will send you to see Seluvis in his tower and get a letter of introduction to Sellen. Sellen is in Waypoint Ruins Cellar. Once you give her the letter of introduction the portal is activated.

I was level 69 (Hehehe) when I beat him, but beating this guy was absolutely exhilarating. He beat me 4 times. The 5'th time was sheer luck and the dragon breath just obliterating him, but I had to do it twice. Almost didn't make it but he did as one of his swings was coming down.
You can also use a medium size shield to block his “undodgeable” purple arrows. Learned that after my 20th death trying to perfectly time the dodges

Can you explain how he isn’t a main sorry boss? He’s required in order to get into the legacy dungeon just because he isn’t required to access leyendell doesn’t mean he’s optional. Just asking as you’re the only TH-cam I’ve seen refer to him as if he is an optional boss.
He is 100% a main story boss. He is literally a demi-god shardbearer and as relevant to the story as any boss in the game.

For all of those saying that cant use the portal to get inside, you need to go on your horse behind the castle pass the cliff and get inside on foot

@@jadeschulke994 you have to collect both halves of a medallion. To unlock it
@@jadeschulke994 redmane castle got 2 phases, if u don't have a portal before impassable bridge active then u will not fight this boss yet but other boss, certain thing has to be done to activate festival at this castle and then Radahn can be ready for a fight
@@merciles1official this is what i tried at first but didn't work, then i realised that certain NPC will tell me to kill Radahn, without starting this quest i don't think that there is a way to activate festival

You can't get here until you've cleared the boss there already.

the portal/warp thing to the other side of the bridge/castle. how do you activate it? does something has to occur first for it to become useable? I was at the castle but the gate is down and i can't run around.
Figured it out. Start Ranni the Witch questline. See Blaid in Siofra river well where he will send you to see Seluvis in his tower and get a letter of introduction to Sellen. Sellen is in Waypoint Ruins Cellar. Once you give her the letter of introduction the portal is activated.
It wasn't open for me either and this is the only thing i did and now it's activated.

@@jonathankotecki2408 omg, man. I CONFIRM Sellen mission (Ranni the witch quest) is the needed part. Sellen is mentioning boss name and then teleport is active. It took me 2h to get inside wizard tower tho…

Nah radhan is part of the ranni side quest(which isn’t really a side quest it’s more of another whole section of the game)

if you immediately hop on your horse after spawning in and run backward away from Radahn he will despawn. Then when you ride back to him he will shoot in a random direction and then it will skip the entire arrow and magic arrow phase

If you have rivers of blood, I recommend just revising everybody and then one teacher does back away from you to fight. Your friends just start going ham wire with the special ability on the rivers of blood, then use the rotten breath, and then run away
