Thank you very much!
Nice!
That came out really cool. Looks marbled.
It does! Thank you.
Can u guide where l could get the colour s
This is absolutely scrumptious! What are the amounts of water vinegar and salt to set the dye? And is the water hot or room temperature. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Thank you so much! I added about 1/2 c of vinegar and a couple of tablespoons of salt. The water I didn't really measure - a little less than a gallon and it was room temp.
Can you use alcohol inked silk in Nuno felting?
I'm not sure - I haven't heard of Nuno felting. My sister does wool felting. Now I'm intrigued. Great - another craft to learn. lol
How long did you wait until you took the rubber bands off? Did you let it dry out for any length of time before you put it in vinegar bath?
Only until I was working on the other ones. Did not wait for it to dry. And I put them in the vinegar bath when they were still damp.
Do I dry in the dryer after the color is set? I usually use dyes but want to try alcohol inks? Do u prefer the alcohol?
I ironed the scarf and that set the colors. I haven't tried dyes. I like the alcohol because it's quick and easy.
Olá, muito lindo trabalho, qual proporção de álcool e sal ,para lavagem??
Beijos para você!❤🌹
I added about 1/2 c of vinegar and a couple of tablespoons of salt. The water I didn't really measure - a little less than a gallon.
Could these be used on synthetic fabrics?
I'm not sure. I haven't tried it on synthetic fabric
Lovely is the scarf silk?
Yes it is
Alcohol is it damage cloth later??
No it does not. It gets washed out, only color remains.
What ratio of vinegar and salt to water please?
I added about 1/2 c of vinegar and a couple of tablespoons of vinegar. The water I didn't really measure, it was a little less than a gallon.
Do the colours run, if you get the scarf wet? It is so gorgeous, thank you.
No, they don't run. I believe the vinegar and heat set the color.
@@CraftedSweetly thank you.
what heat? you did not mention heat
Really cool. What particular scarf did you use in this video? The link you provided has a bunch of different ones to choose from. Also, is there a recipe for the water, vinegar and salt, how much of each ingredient to use. I have the same question as one other viewer, you mentioned heat keeps the colors from running, but where does the heat fit into the process? Thank you.
@@judypatterson1431 she ironed it ! That’s the heat I presume ! It’s gorgeous.!
how much water vinegar and salt do you use in the setting solution, and will it set the ink on all fabrics?
Thank you so much! I added about 1/2 c of vinegar and a couple of tablespoons of salt. The water I didn't really measure - a little less than a gallon and it was room temp.
thans hon, and will that solution set the dye on all fabrics? Your scarf, by the way turned out just beautiful!@@CraftedSweetly
You have to set it by ironing. Don’t know about all fabrics, but works with silk
thank you!!!!!@@CraftedSweetly
Was the scarf washed first to remove sizing?
No, I didn't wash it.
How much of each to soak scarves?
I added about 1/2 c of vinegar and a couple of tablespoons of salt. The water I didn't really measure - a little less than a gallon and it was room temp.
