    Without a doubt one of the best instructors for Photo I have come across. I have learnt more since I discovered Olivio than in watching all the other instructional video's out there.

    Even though Olivio's adjustments are done a little too quickly for a beginner like me, the concepts that he gives are inspriring.

    Another brilliant tutorial. Amazes me how how much improvement you get in photos with such simple things. Im now going to review all my photos to see how I can apply some of these tips.

    I agree with the other commenters on how well you present these simple adjustments. I have subscribed and I am working my way through to learn affinity with various books, videos etc.. Your videos help with the learning process. Do you ever put this adjustments in writing? Perhaps you should do a book?

    This video was great to watch. I am really enjoying your videos and the affinity suites. Learning photo, design, and publisher is fun. I love photography and videos but I think my talents are in publisher. Having some knowledge in the other software just enhance unlimited possibilities. As always, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. Great tutorial!!

    Taught me 3 out of 5-not bad, Olivio, that is 60% ± improvement and I really appreciate it! And, as you said, they are "easy." Thanks.

    I couldn't get the ellipse to blur until I noticed at 9:14 you have to right click on the little box with the ellipse icon itself rather than on the layer. It's a small detail but makes the difference between the blur effect working and not working.

    Taught me 3 out of 5 also Olivio. I'm super impressed. I try to get my images the best they can be in camera but sometimes that does not work so have to go to post to make the image better. I have been using Affinity Photo Workbook but it does miss some of these little tricks that you've just taught me as you are applying to real photos. If that makes sense? Anyway, thanks so much for this tutorial. I have you do more like this. Thank you. :)

    Olivio, thank you for another great video. I always learn some new "secret sauce" from you. Please be careful, however, in calling Cyan, Blue and Magenta, Red . . . definitely NOT the same, especially when referring to the Selective Color tool. Those who were paying close attention and more experienced knew what you meant, but it could get confusing for less experienced photographers (RGB/CMY). Keep up the great work. Byeeeeee.

    7:36 Why did the Curves affect the masked areas and not affect the transparent ones in the center but not vice versa?

    • @OlivioSarikas
      @OlivioSarikas  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi alea, because one is a circle and the other one is a Donut with a hole in the middle - mean no mask in the middle :)

    • @aleale11000
      @aleale11000 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OlivioSarikas Exactly: "the hole in the middle - means no mask in the middle", but in your Donut case the middle is masked!!! And the other area which should be masked is influenced by the Curves - got darker!!
