Omg what an amazing beautiful act and spectacular performance. Eurovision Songfestival 2021 (200 million people watched this show) will go down in historybooks as one of the best ever, or at least one that raised the bar to the highest up till now.
Glennis Grace is one of the greatest live performers and vocalists of today. She is from the Netherlands and was born in Amsterdam from a Dutch (white) mother and a (black) father from the island Curaçao ( Carribean area) so she is beautiful mix.
Another suggestion is the interval act by another amazing Dutch singer Davina Michelle " The Power of Water" i'm sure it will blow you away.
Thanks for the upload wish you a great weekend.

Glennis Grace is great whatever she sings. A very underrated vocalist.😊😊😊 And she's biracial. Black father and white mother. She's from Holland. You should hear her sing Home at a Whitney Houston concert in Amsterdam. It is a masterpiece! 😊

That last belt by ms. Grace was an incredible A5 and not even with the slightest loss of her rich voice quality. Some Whitney Houston fans, who you wil not find on this comment section, argue that her range is limited, but I never heard miss Houston reach an A5.

@@MugnifyRTS Vocal characteristics is a large scientific area, so your question is not easy to answer.
Women are typically divided into three main groups: soprano, mezzo-soprano, and contralto. Men are usually divided into four main groups: countertenor, tenor, baritone, and bass. When considering the pre-pubescent voices of children an eighth term, treble, can be applied. Within each of these major categories there are several sub-categories that identify specific vocal qualities like coloratura facility and vocal weight to differentiate between voices.
Vocal range itself does not determine a singer's voice type. While each voice type does have a general vocal range associated with it, human singing voices may possess vocal ranges that encompass more than one voice type or are in between the typical ranges of two voice types. Therefore, voice teachers use vocal range as only one factor among many in classifying a singer's voice.
More important than range in voice classification is tessitura, or where the voice is most comfortable singing, and vocal timbre, or the characteristic sound of the singing voice. For example, a female singer may have a vocal range that encompasses the high notes of a mezzo-soprano and the low notes of a soprano. A voice teacher would therefore look to see whether the singer was more comfortable singing higher, or lower. If she were more comfortable singing higher, then the teacher would probably classify her as a soprano. The teacher would also consider the sound of the voice; sopranos tend to have a lighter and less rich vocal sound than a mezzo-soprano. A voice teacher, however, would never classify a singer in more than one voice type, regardless of the size of the vocal range of the singer.
Within the operatic systems of classification, there are six basic voice types. The ranges given below are approximations and are not meant to be too rigidly applied.
Soprano: the highest female voice, being able to sing C4 (middle C) to C6 (high C), and possibly higher.
      Mezzo-soprano: a female voice between A3 (A below middle C) and A5 (2nd A above middle C).
Contralto: the lowest female voice, F3 (F below middle C) to E5 (2nd E above Middle C). Rare contraltos possess a range similar to the tenor.
Tenor: the highest male voice, B2 (2nd B below middle C) to A4 (A above middle C), and possibly higher.
Baritone: a male voice, G2 (two Gs below middle C) to F4 (F above middle C).
Bass: the lowest male voice, E2 (two Es below middle C) to E4 (the E above middle C).
I can recommend to download a vocal range app that classifies any sound as an alphabetic note.
Ms Grace is a mezzo soprano and an A5 is the ultimate top range that is seldom seen. For a soprano like ms Houston that should be (a very little!) easier.

@@MugnifyRTS Of course listening to a vocal artist is also a matter of personal preferences. But as a reviewer it is important to notice tone and timbre quality (richness, thickness and depth voice) in all registers, soulfulness (connection to the lyrics) and stage presence.
All those factors contribute to our judgement about a performance.
It is that ‘whole package’ that makes any rendition by ms. Grace an exceptional experience.

      @Betweentheraindrops8 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yes agreed, as a massive Whitney fan she never really belted out an A. She had many other abilities Such as much greater agility just being one of them...but as her voice kept dropping in pitch and depth, she had a harder time reaching the 5th octave above E5. Glennis’ belts are the example of what Whitney would’ve been capable of had she taken care of her health and trained. In the 80s Whitney was belting and running G5/G#5 in some concert performances, but blasting out and phrasing an A like this would’ve been something she needed further training for.
