Maybe you guys should take a look at this again and this time, keep looking at the bridge/stage (when did it become fake?).
This was one of the best examples of what the Netherlands can do with augmented reality in a live tv show watched by 200 million people.
They put the entire "erasmusbrug" inside the ahoy arena.

GLENNIS AMAZING GRACE that evening she was the Queen of the Night about 200 million vieuwers from Europe were watching this biggest show called Eurovision Songfestival. YEAHHHHHHH she was killing it, hitting those high notes at the end was insane, she blew the roof off and her incredible VOICE went sky high.
The famous Rotterdam bridge was projected within Ahoy (concerthall). That's what you see basicly.
Up to the Wulf performance is a previous recording, the when glenis is on stage that is live
The whole Erasmusbridge is live Augmented Reality on stage its grazy
The first part was pre-recorded, but Wulf sang live on it. Then in the Ahoy, with Glennis Grace, it was also live
Yes it was, Glennis had little little problems with her voice in the low notes in the beginning. But when she lifted het voice to that climax, man..she was perfect!

So up until Glennis Grace, everything was filmed on location, semi-live, with augmented reality. Right at the drop at the end, they switch to the stadium. That bridge for example, is the famous Erasmus brigde in Rotterdam. In the middle of the night, they shut the bridge down, no traffic allowed and shot the videoclip. This show, but other shows as well, really show what The Netherland is capable of. This level of production is rare anywhere else in the world.
A Dutch network made a road to/behind the scene of the event. Amazing to watch, unfortunately it's in Dutch.
The Dutch production team behind Eurosong Festival that consisted of the best people in the industry of all disciplines there are behind the scenes wanted to created the best interval performances and shows the Netherlands could offer.
Due to the Covid pandemic the Dutch organisation had not 1 series of shows but 2 complete series of shows to direct and produce over a 2 year span.
2020 they did 'Euro Shine a Light' edition , which was setup in a very big "home isolation" style.
Remember guys 39 countries , with all their wishes and demands , compete in this enormous production process and are all musically fighting to reach the so desired Grand Final show.
So to conclude :
Not a televised series of 3 shows in 1 year but 6 shows in 2 years time.
And the staggering amount of rehearsals.
This was an enormous opportunity to show the entire world what the Netherlands had and have to offer in a musical sense in front of the camera's and behind the camera's.
Consisting of Lights , Sound , Stages, Video , Augmented reality, Visual effects , Pyrotechnics, Camera's crews , Stage crews , Stylists, Makeup artists, Dancer ensemble , etcetera etcetera etcetera.
The directors and production teams took the best of the best in the Dutch industry and in my humble opinion knocked it out of the park!
The 2020 edition was also respectfully called the big dress rehearsal for 2021.
Also for the 2021 edition finally the government allowed the event to take place once again in the city of Rotterdam at the Ahoy, Live with all 39 countries contending and with all of their entourage.
It was also setup as a giant 'Field-Lab' in tight cooperation with the department of Healthcare ( VWS ).
Also allowing 3500 fans per show and dress rehearsals to have the possibility to join and attend to see and hear it all Live.
Under the strict rules and regulations of testing negative ofcourse due to the pandemic.
Important note:
All the performing artists and their entire teams came over well before the actual shows aired.
They called this the 'Eurovision Bubble'.
Someone correct me if I recalled this wrong but the first delegation arrived 60 days before the actual first Semifinal show aired to go in this so called bubble.
So with this all in mind this was quite the beast to tackle.

Europe: Shine a light was just one show. They didn’t do 6 shows in 2 years. It was just the 3 shows this year and Europe: Shine A Light in 2020.

To me, the girl wearing thr bracelet saying "mom" was a reference to the loss of a familymember like so many have recently. The theme of the show was "open up" and she literally jumped out of the lockdown. So her protective dad actually was very sweet to me
Amazing show, using AR to bring the Rotterdam Erasmus Bridge onto the Eurovision stage in Ahoy. Glennis told in an interview that the first part of the song was a bit too low for her, but she really hit the high notes at the end!Titanium is a song by David Guetta and Sia, but Afrojack was one of the producers of that song. Gosh no. Glennis Grace represented NL years ago, and that was a big NO GO. Glennis did'nt made it to the final. The chance would be bigger with Afrojack and Davina Michelle.

I see you enjoying the Electronic dance music. Then you should definitely come to Amsterdam (when everything is open again). It is the capital of the EDM. But not only in Amsterdam you will find a lot of EDM, but actually throughout the Netherlands. Our country has many top DJs such as Afrojack.
This event is called : A.D.E.
And it is truly amazing!
Literly everyone in the music industry wants to be there and it creates a environment for artists and producers and singer/songwriters to meet up and collaborate.
Next to the fact that there are countless live performances, DJ sets and acts during this time.
Very fertile musical grounds I would say.
It is an event/festival that is held for multiple days back to back and in all great venues throughout all 12 provices from which the Netherlands consists.
And in all those provices several cities participate in this wonderfull event/festival.

No animation there. The Rotterdam bridge was really lit like that. The movie part was shot there. There was a complete symphony orchestra. Afrojack is one of the world's top djs and the end with Glennis was live at the Eurovision Song Contest stage with live light and pyro technics and 200 million people watching.
Yeah it was great!!!! They nailed it.
Until glennis it is filmed after the switch it is in the building where the rebuild the entire bridge on stage and that part was live.

I’m not a big Eurovision fan, but because it was held in the Netherlands (I’m Dutch), and because of Davina and Glennis, I watched it a bit. If you thought of actually listening to any of the contestants from this year, I would advise to watch Italy, France, Iceland and Ukraine. All completely different genres, all very enjoyable to watch and listen to.
How can you find Ukraine enjoyable to watch cmon that song sucked same goes for Iceland.

@@sidsmits2158 there’s no accounting for taste. I found the Iceland song just fun, and the Ukraine song was interesting because it was a mix of traditional music and lyrics, and dance music. They ended up in respectively place 4 and 5, so I’m clearly not the only person who liked them.

Wolf and the musicians also ... on the most famous brigde ( the Swann ) in Rotterdam , and it al came togehter in the live show of eurovision ... where the brigde was projecteced and integrated in the live performance of Glennis and Afro Jack !

If you're watching Eurovision stuff anyway, can you also review the host country the Netherlands. Jeangu Macrooy with Birth Of A New Age. He ended up 23th place which is imo extremely underrated but this often happens with host entries😂 it's an up tempo music with South American/African vibes in it. Probably not your guys cup of tea, but still.
I actually think you guys would have liked the winner this year as well. And other entries maybe. Maybe a new series? Idk.

We Dutch people know how to throw a massive party and make everybody leave with a big smile on their face . Honnestly i do not think that Glennis was the right person to sing titanium because at the end she was screaming instead of singing it . Other then that this was one of the best moments of the evsc2021
