    Would love to see you make videos on:
    -What dye to use to dye the master fluid
    -How to make the wax opaque and rich like it used to be
    -What changed that makes modern lamp wax _so_ translucent, and the water so cloudy (specifics, not just "quality control" and cheapening of materials). Love hearing people talk about their passions.

    My uncle gave me his antique lava lamp before he passed away and now it won't flow anymore. I want to fix it and get it running again. So thanks for showing this!

      Lava lab creations has liquid dyes for lava lamps, I've also used alcohol ink but it leaves particles in the water that you wouldn't want unless you have access to a filter, I've heard some people use calligraphy ink as well but I think your best bet would be to check out lava lab creations on Google, I have bought wax dye from them and it works amazing!

      I have made multiple colors using mathmos lamps. For master fluid color I recommend a strong ink like fountain pen ink. Many prefer printer ink, but I have an assortment of colors using fountain pen.

    Good idea for a product but you should maybe show why your product is better than water + salt

    Does this "fix" the lava just sitting at the bottom and a small blob at the top.. no movement.

      @@OzoneGifts Is there a general rule of thumb for the ink-to-lamp-liquid ratio?

    • @OzoneGifts
      @OzoneGifts  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You just have to test it out - I use about 1.5ml of dye for a 32oz lamp and comes out really nice, but it all comes down to the color you're using, the ink brand, and personal preference!@@terraf0rm

      I usually just gently swirl it around until it naturally moves its way back to the bottom

    Could you just put a cork in the top? And what about using a funnel to fill the lamp!

    • @OzoneGifts
      @OzoneGifts  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You can totally use a funnel to fill the lamp. You can't use a cork because they won't be able to handle the pressure of the heated globe :\

    I've never worked with bottle caps before. Is there a certain size I should buy? P.S. It's Voilà. Not walla
    Spoken with V not a W

    • @DWilliams-sf5th
      @DWilliams-sf5th 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. The name, and instrument are pronounced with a V, while the french word meaning "look, see, it's done, and it's good" is pronounced "wuh la". Google, its easy.

    • @Frip36
      @Frip36 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The original pronunciation used the V sound. It was lazy ignorant Americans who turned it into "Walla" upon arriving at their beloved Wally World.
      I don't need to check Google. I'm smarter than Google. @@DWilliams-sf5th
