  • Looks like this place is finally underway for full demolition. The only part that’s really remaining or what’s left of the mall is the part close to Kohl’s. There are plans for this to become a warehouse at some point possibly in 2025. The closed Friendly’s has been fenced off and looks even more abandoned, which most likely could be demolished as well.

TD3. This was a great mall. I worked at KB Toys there, also did sports card memorabilia shows there. I really miss this mall.

Wow. I knew it was going to be demolished but it's still crazy to see.

Seems like a gone mall now. Would make sense for an Amazon warehouse. I think the news said the Cubes warehouses. They might as well demolish the Friendly’s restaurant to make roadway for this business. The trees and roadways will be torn down next seeing the mall is gone.

I used to live in Harmony Township, and the mall was 15 minutes away from my old homestead. Miss Kmart, Ebgames, KBtoys, Spencers, Suncoast video, FYE, Payless Shoes, Sears, Radio Shack, Clairs, Mastercuts, East Meets West, Footlocker, food cort, JCPenny, Gamestop is all I remember shopping there.

OMG, I loved all of those stores!
It was hard seeing them all close down and sit vacant but now seeing the locations where they once stood now be fully gone forever and reduced to rubble and metal scraps is just surreal.
Not to mention seeing that huge gap and open space as well as being able to see what is / was behind the mall from the main road and no longer seeing the mall itself is even more surreal.

Judging from the winds was this filmed this past Wednesday June 26? The winds on that day, especially in the afternoon were crazy strong. Many areas lost power and trees, lines etc toppled.
But for this place, funny enough a little while
ago I was going to ask if you were planning on revisiting this place possibly for the final time as most of the mall (I’d say around 80-90%) is now gone. The sight of all those stores and that corridor that I walked through countless times now no longer existing is just so surreal. Same with the still painted crosswalks on the road that once lead to the entrances of the mall now leading to nowhere.
PS The Sears closed on January 26, 2018 and was demolished the following summer. Bon-Ton closed in April of 2018 and was demolished the following fall. For K-Mart , it actually was one of the original anchor stores upon the mall’s opening in 1989 until that store closed in 2002 apparently due to a bankruptcy proceeding. It sat vacant until the current Kohl’s opened there two years later in 2004.

GameStop might be the next store to be bankrupt
