    My favorite year of the Cuda is just so aggressive, and it looks like I am going to chew up that Quarter mile strip!

    Doing this car right now. Almost done. I did the trim in silver metallic around the windows and trim below the doors. Didn't even pay attention to the silver on the front bumper. 🤦 Also agree on the license plates. Love the color but couldn't find a match with acrylic paint so I ended up with purple.

      I've found the non-Tamiya modeling paints to be very catch-as-catch-can and you have to either call around a lot or luck into finding the colors that Tamiya doesn't cover...or I guess can try to mix yourself, if you're into airbrushing. That always seemed a few bridges too far for me and my definitely more casual approach...

    Remember this kit was first released back in the Summer of 1982, reason is I was in USAF Technical Training at Chanute AFB, Il and my room mate had a '71 Hemi 'cuda, Hemi Orange with Black Interior, and Black Bill Boards. But the car was repainted Black on Black after a run in with the Illinois State Troopers outside of Champaign, Il on a Friday night! That car made me fall in love with this car so now I own 2, a 72 & 73, 340 cid, but these cars are not to be updated mods like the new cars, because all that does it make them worthless!

      Those 340s were awesome...definitely pretty high on the old wish list...along with a few others...the only thing in the newer cars I would consider adding to one of those older ones is maybe a Bluetooth capable stereo, but probably nothing else.

    Great build I was the same with detail until my grandmother gave me a 5x magnifying glass with a light that claps on to things she said it was for sewing but it massively improved my accuracy with painting fine details

      @OKGoodReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will be doing a series on my set-up and getting into model building later in the year, but if you're painting, that magnifying light is an absolute must. I also wind up using it a lot for gluing...not kidding when I say the improvement to the models was exponential after its addition...

    nice video. Only question is if you had a hard time where to place the dash fillers. The instructions are not very clear

    • @OKGoodReview
      @OKGoodReview  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't recall this one being particularly problematic as far as assembly...it went together pretty smoothly as as I remember...I do keep putty at hand as well as spares from previous kits to either fashion new parts or as filler for deleted ones if things are too troublesome for the models in my own collection...

    What paint company do you use?

    • @OKGoodReview
      @OKGoodReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All the paints for the specific models are usually a part of the filming, as in I do a section with what paints I'm using for that build (I may go back and list it them all out in the description).
      Generally, I prefer to use Tamiya for aerosol/rattle can. For brush work, I would say my preference is slightly again to Tamiya, but it varies with each build. I like the Tamiya X-1 Black (radiators, hoses, other parts) and X-10 Gunmetal (dashes) a lot and keep those at hand. I also have found the Molotow Chrome pens to be the best chromes and like the Testors Metallic Silver and Flat Steel for undercarriage parts, brake discs, etc. For engines, I like the Model Masters Chrysler Engine Red (most of the engines I do are this color, though lately I've started to paint them in reference to the specific builds) and also use their Turn Signal Amber and Brake Light Red.

      Thanks for checking it out. That habit is something I've attempted to curb back and hopefully I'm more successful on the more recent stuff.
