    Great video. I've had the first one. Sold it when the third one came out. Always thought the middle one was just a straight reissue of the first one., Thanks for sharing

      Your welcome! That middle one was a big surprise to me when new. I thought it was a strait reissue as well.

    Personally I like the 95 issue body. The lower roof looks sleeker and more like a custom chop cuda. Looks meaner to me. My daughter has just ordered one off eBay for me for father's day. Can't wait to build it. My uncle was a Chevy guy and used to joke about Mopar guys not being to bright. Because they always ran out of paint before they got to the hood. Lol

    • @TheMuscleCarModeler
      @TheMuscleCarModeler  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 95 issue never bothered me and now that I'm finished building the 2007 it doesn't look to bad either. It looks worse unpainted. I still have to do the 1/25 thou!

    That MPB detail part conversion kit looks awful familiar. Wonder what drawer that's hiding in? I've got both hood editions on the Monogram kit. Thanks for the update, didn't know Revell did several molds for the 1/25 AAR. Wasn't quite clear on the decals. Want to do In Violet with white 'strobes' whether it's factory stock or not. Was that kit #. 7601 ?

    • @TheMuscleCarModeler
      @TheMuscleCarModeler  ปีที่แล้ว

      The first two issues are different but they are 1/24 scale. The newest one is 1/25 scale. The first issue is 7601 and has the white stripes.

    Looks like the white stripes do exist, you can see a few example of them on the net, they appear to be original. The revised body in 1/24 scale have a more accurate rear window/ deck lid shape even compared to the latest 1/25 scale new tooling sadly.

    • @TheMuscleCarModeler
      @TheMuscleCarModeler  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes but no. From the factory the AAR Cuda and T/A Challenger stripes only came in black. The Suade/Savage race car had white stripes but was not factory. I understand it was not even an AAR originally. They are decals and easily done in white. Even this car on Hagerty has white on it but coded V6H for black stripes.

    17:26 Which kit is the "Holy Grail" kit? Was it the MPC or the latest Revell?

    • @TheMuscleCarModeler
      @TheMuscleCarModeler  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not sure what you mean. The MPC annual is a 70 Hemi Cuda. It has a nice body and I have one but I really like the Revell Hemi Cuda along with the newest AAR Cuda.

      @@jackyouup7441 I had to listen to it again as I did this one years ago. I was talking about the MPC 1970 Hemi Cuda annual. That one has a really nice body that I was comparing this one to.

  • @iwalkalone1
    @iwalkalone1 ปีที่แล้ว

    I bought the first two releases; I was so irritated by both of those kits & their inherent issues that I stopped buying Monogram/ 1/24 scale altogether. The newest Revell Hemi Cuda & AAR are THE only kits worth buying now. The 1/25 Revell kits are outstanding & very well done. Hopefully, whoever has the original 1/24 scale tooling destroys it or stores it away forever in their "Hall of Shame".

    Great video. Did you have to modify anything when using the chassis from the T/A to fit into the 71 Cuda body?

    • @TheMuscleCarModeler
      @TheMuscleCarModeler  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. It has been 30 years but having another trans kit and directions it reminded me of what I had to do. the main thing was to shorten up the inner fenders so the chassis could sit higher.
