Funny thing I forgot to mention ,I won a raffle and the 1st prize was An evening out with some minor owners club members ,2nd prize was 2 evening's out with them !!!.
Back in the early 70's when the MMOC was in it's infancy, i started a local branch....not by way of competition or anything but more for local folks (there was around 25 of us). Then the guy who founded the MMOC gave up and some jerk took over, promptly insisting all members in my branch must join MMOC. I told him to FO but it was a stupid unnecessary row which lingered for ages. He was a control freak.
