Good Morning! Great video! i Love watching your videos and your attention to all of the details and the way that you explain how and why you do things. i found that you are better off buying a new cylinder head, because i had the same thing happen to my craftsman LT1000. have a Great day! :)
If they can afford a new head it’s best but if not I drill a tap in for a set screw 😮 It works great and never had a problem yet 😊 Heads are over 200 bucks each now 😢😢😢
As usual nice repair Random. So when a valve guide comes loose like that I thought was due to excessive heat. Were the cooling fins blocked or something like that ?? I appreciate the deductive tips on how to narrow down the trouble, that is just as important to me as the how to fix it part of the video.. I always enjoy your repair videos so thank you.
Every one I’ve ever seen has grass and mice nest in it which causes the over heating and damage Folks just are to lazy to remove cover and clean out every year before season starts 😢😢😢 I clean every mower that comes into shop every time
Great video. My nephew has a D110 he's having problems starting. New battery, new starter. Can the valves be out of adjustment even if he can rotate it by hand from the top with no problem ? It's a 2013 Briggs single cylinder he got 2nd hand so not sure if valves have ever been adjusted. Thanks! Havin problems here keepin up with the grass in SW Ontario. Lol
Customer, “The mower runs just great when it is under load, I.e. mowing. When it isn’t under load it is snapping and backfiring. Possibly a valve problem?” JD lawn tractor. Any ideas? I’m almost thinking it’s the same issue as in this video!
Well done sir.
Perfect diagnosis and repair 😊
Great repair video, nothing better than tearing into an engine . 👍 😊
