Rand Paul, R-Ky., clashed with Dr. Anthony Fauci over claims about funding the National Institutes of Health gain of function research at a Wuhan lab during a Senate hearing on the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Fauci refuted claims made and told the senator "you do not know what you are talking about."

Gain of function in viruses does NOT mean it has been made TRANSMISSABLE. Senator does not know how viruses work. Humans carry monkey Ebola and it does not make is sick, for instance. Kills monkeys though. But, we can get monkey pox. Infections vary in shapes and sizes, making them harmless to some species, deadly to others. Fauci was not working with anything infectious. He ACTIVATED a virus, it attacked human host cells, but lacks the PROTEINS/"molecular structure" needed to ENTER/infect our cells. Senator does not know what he is talking about. They wanted to SEE WHAT ANIMAL SPREADS IT/IT'S ORIGIN. 🤦♀️

Kary Mullis was a biochemist with controversial beliefs. For example, he did not believe that HIV caused AIDS and favored taking LSD as a mind- expanding experience. He actually synthesized the drug for himself and credited using it with the development of the PCR technique for which he won the Nobel Prize. I don't know the context in which you say he was discrediting Fauci, but it couldn't have been the current pandemic because he died in 2019. I'm curious why you would put more faith in him that an ivy league MD with years of training and experience in immunology?

As a health care worker, my colleagues and I noticed patterns in the way COVID was spreading and affecting people. We were all in agreement that there was absolutely no way this was natural. It had too many specific qualities that led us to believe it was engineered in some way.
Also, as someone who's had COVID more than once, I am angered that all this is going on as I have been dealing with symptoms ever since. My life is changed. I've had to make lifestyle changes. My overall quality of life has suffered.
I would greatly enjoy if the truth finally came out and somebody was held responsible. It's been 2 years, I am not going to get better. I would like some justification for what some of us are going through.
