Today we are talking with Mr. Manoj Rambodavilage, an experienced immigration consultant from England.
UK Visa rules are about to get tougher in the breaking news coming in. The official UK immigration changes were announced that make moving to the UK much tougher. The UK Govt just announced all the big changes to the UK visas that will seriously affect people trying to get a job in the UK. This includes changes to salary thresholds, rules around dependents in the UK and care workers in the UK.
Under the new plan:
• The minimum salary for foreign skilled workers will be raised from £26,200 to £38,700 (though the health and care sector will be exempt).
• The minimum income requirement for a spouse or family visa will be raised from £18,600 to £38,700.
• Care workers will not be allowed to bring any dependents to the UK, and care firms will be required to be registered with the Care Quality Commission to sponsor visas.
• The Shortage Occupation List will be reformed and the current 20% going rate salary discount for shortage occupations will be abolished.
• The rules on students bringing family members to the UK will be tightened, plus the Migration Advisory Committee will be commissioned to carry out a full review of the graduate visa route.

Pls,explain his, after finishing 5 years visa and when they apply for PR, what would happen.
If your dependents in UK then there will be no problems. UK will never introduce a rule to allow only the main applicant to stay in UK after arrive as a family.

According to current info upper salary will apply after new rule in place. Please note all these are proposals. There could be a concession in the actual rule when passing in the Parliament.

According to home office web it won't. Dependents not allow in this scenario. But these are still proposals. So those can be changed.

How many months can we stay away from UK once you received the BRP.
You are allowed to spend time outside of the UK so long as these periods of absence do not exceed 6 months at any one time. It does not matter how much time you spend outside of the UK in total during the required 5-year continuous residence period provided you return each time after a maximum of 6 months.
