Thank you for the detailed video. I have a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country that needs the AC compressor changed (or maybe just needs a new clutch). I have a brother who is a mechanic (third generation mechanic). His back is out and can't help me so I thought I would just look up a video on how to replace it myself. I have never worked on a vehicle, but I stood around and watched when I was a teenager. So, I thought maybe I could do it. After watching your video, I don't think I can lol. I think I will share this video with my 18 year old son. Maybe he will help me.

Nice video. Where did you buy the compressor? I have a 2005 T&C. Bought a compressor clutch from O reillys auto parts. After replaceing the clutch the belt would keep shredding. Replaced all the pullys including the harmonic balancer. No change in the belt problem. Finely i took the new compresser clutch off and compared it to the origenal. All looked the same untill I put it up on a bench and put pully next to pully and layed a straight edge across the top of both. The new pulley was about 1/8 of an inch lower then the original. Put the original clutch back on and the problem was solved. So I am a little skeptical about buying a new compressor.

How many ounces of oil do you add to the compressor? No rear ac either. Thanks.

There should be a sticker under the hood with that info on it

@@Andys_Auto All it says is lbs, not ounces. I’ve read other places it’s 6.1 total ounces.

You can convert lbs to Oz. Also most compressors come with enough oil in them already and no more needs to be added in most cases. I learned that the hard way

@@Andys_Auto It does say to add more IF you have rear ac.

I think you should be good to just install the compressor. I've had issues with too much oil before and it's a huge pain to deal with. In my experience if I had to choose I'd rather be slightly on the low side then overfill because you can always add more.
